i bring a sort of "poly would fix this" vibe to the party that monogamy-obsessed viewers and writers of these shows absolutely hate. it's like pluto all over again
one nitpick, which actually goes for most of gmmtvs bl/gl series: when will they stop putting their ost songs as a backdrop for intimate scenes? at least in this case the song is beautiful and has a mellow vibe but i'd still prefer they didn't do that. minimal instrumental music (we're talking a piano at best, not the whole orchestra) or sometimes no music at all is so much better if you want to show intimacy imo
i see a lot of ppl anticipate a bad ending for lert and naran where one of them dies, but personally i feel like victor is the character that has death written all over him. his conversation with trin where trin warned him that violent revolutions often bring the death of loved ones seems prophetic, and i feel like victor won't be the one to lose someone but rather the one who dies thus leaving his family and friends devastated. it's that archetype of impassioned and earnest revolutionary who dies young, i feel like
this one and the last case are my roman empires fr. the fact that all those shallow gls mostly about two rich femmes who look like they sleep with their makeup on keep getting greenlit while something actually new and refreshing gets cancelled/stuck in some sort of weird limbo depresses me, i can't lie
my ultimate wish for this season is for the characters from the first one to get cameos and it gets revealed that after their cute little happy endings (sans nickboston) they all broke up anyway lol. i know it won't happen but a girl can dream
are you on the right page? which character are you talking about? or are these random unrelated thoughts you just…
why do you think she wants it? i feel like it's quite obvious that it's an arranged marriage and she as a woman in that time period has no say in the matter
I kinda want this drama to have realistic (bad/bittersweet) ending 🤡 I'm probably in minority tho...
i love bittersweet/open endings (where the leads have to part ways, for example), but i've made my peace with the fact i won't ever get that kind of thing from gmmtv. they're a cliche saccharine ending factory and are too scared of their fanbase
as i was binging the last few episodes i was soooo ready to come here and rant how "a character who seems the most innocent and sweet is the one who killed everyone" is the most tired trope ever but then part 4 of episode 14 came and gagged me so bad
