For context, idol drams like POJ and LBTG are equivalent of brigerton in west with new actors young blood whereas 7.0 + dramas in douban i have seen r usually more acclaimed with veteran actors like Down Town Abbey in the west. More serious toned and raw without filters even at times.

Very rare for idol dramas to go 7+ there. For context POJ got 6.8. And one of Bai Yu's drama swords into Plowshore got 7.8 (mdl equivalent of 9.6 imo) (extraordinary feat).

Hmm really a matter of interpretation. I wouldn't even give it that -an open ending- cz if they didnt solve the mystery plot line of her descendant and his servant that would be more like an incomplete ending to me if u dont watch the special as supplementary to flesh out the ending and trust it as canon and not an alternate ending. Yet to see it but I think they could def have worked to make the timing more intentional. And adapted the final extra chs too.

They probably ran out of time due to bad execution. Their wedding g wasn't really that long in novel at best 2 lines. The goddess of fate played a bigger role after she fought with Simu's descendant in last chapter. Really u predictable novel in terms of who becomes immortal or is predicted to in the end haha. There is a future up they talked of in extra chs for that descendant once he accents and his servant (who was the goddess of fate shadowing him and saved DX in the novel lol)

Im melting gosh. Is it so hard for the producers to cast them in a long modern drama? What i could give to see Reba as a lawyer. With chenfeiyu as her student turned graduate turned her prodigious police investigator with Reba as the adviser attaché from school in a university killing she is 'mysteriously' tangled in, that would be so speak.
