There was a part in the novel not sure they mentioned in drama when she was describing her 1st lover to DX. She said 'he used to follow me everywhere. I remember I loved him very much but now I can't even remember his name' all the graves were unmarked aka no names or the previous 22. I imagine all of them chased her previously given her enigmatic personality. Her 1st one was also during the time her parents were alive.

YK will have her spirit lamp soon because he captured DX and Simu had to make an exchange with him for DX. Thats the dragged out rebellion and tension between ML & FL cz he still didn't call her to save him.

I think its tragic how much they missed the mark on not just casting but also script on this. Love both Dylan and bai lu so seeing their characters acting so stupid (since when did they make poor Shiyan toxic?Why is the bestie toxic? Why make fl unable to think to resolve misunderstanding like in novel??) and contrary to their smart novel characters made my BP spike. Maybe if I hadn't read the novel I would have watched the entire 40 eps but their relationship was just so boring to watch. Even my love for the actors from TTEOTM and love is sweet(watch that post this instead for catharsis) and LBFAD couldn't make me last more than 19 episodes. Argh just writing this makes me sad and angry.

He was kn the precipice of turning dark. Like at one point they weren't openly enemies and even DX said if u want to betray me its ok but like Fang was conflicted whether he really should and almost did it and most certainly didn't prevent it. But at pivotal moment he had a epiphany.

There is...its more like unfulfilled romance. He likes hee but never admits and wishes her to have many grand children when he went to see her one last time. This happened when DX was in coma so Fang at his wits end decides him killing himself as a spectacle would be best way to end matter and redeem himself. Sister does realise hes her 'brother ' but it is narrated in novel much much later how she realizes why he wishes her so. When she found out he died DX narrates at his fangs grave how bitterly she cried for a long time. In short both had some feelings but never voiced them, their characters never fleshed out enough for a story. Only regret.

Yup. Fang dies which was mkrs heartbreaking for me. He did a v v v stupid thing to not burn an imperial decree ordering him to execute DX because he was conflicted between greed and good. Simu keeping YK alive as her servant was his worst torture before burning with fire. He dies by her hand too.

BE for fang guy. He dies. HE for everyone else. Leads even get married when human. DX fully recovers.

Their wedding might just be narrated at the very end. It comes in epilogue in nnovel.really hope we get to see their wedding outfit. Apparently simu DX's outfit with the most rarest silk. It was so cute.

I am still not over Fangs death tho. Granted he died due to a disaster of his own making with irl message of life's consequences ig, I really really wanted the author to spend more time on developing him and DX's sister. Even chen Ying got reunited but not him. Didn't even get the girl😭😭
