I don't get the low rating. the story in engaging and the fact that there's real incidents behind it make it special. I checked and it seems it had a low view in SK too. drama is heavy then it's kind of understandable and seriously they should have some idol or famous actors to get people watch such a dark theme. we human don't like being exposed to cruelty and ugliness of our everyday society
though I loved all the supporting characters and storyline yet this drama really tested my limits main leads story was painful and most of the time frustrating to watch. LSY character's interaction with YuRi made me so angry that I did something I had never done before, I mute tv when the two were together... I wasn't able to stand them. period! somehow I didn't buy PSJ excuse for the reason why he didn't tell her about his family (cus he didn't want to put her through more pain??? ) such a lame excuse. I heard LSY received such a hate for this character then maybe they tried to white wash PSJ in the end... suddenly he started to smile and be human?? the guy was a rock face even when he was in uni. this part was done poorly but for the rest, it's an amazing story. watch it. I didn't get the name tough. why VIP?
the question is how a handsome director like Yoo Jin Woo doesn't have a girl interested to him or a girlfriend? people all show Lee Min Suk or even his friends attention the YJW is alone... hum I don't want a jealous second lead woman but I still think YJW's part has not written with details
beginning of 20th century, spy and military theme, heroism, lots of strong amazing female leads and friendship... it even could be 10/10 yet I am being rational and gave it 9.5 cus the plot is pretty simple to be honest but the drama consumed me totally and I am going to rewatch it again. the ending music is addictive
10/10! I loved this drama from beginning to the end. this was a lot better than the original one and I fell in love with Ji Jin Hee... even I've seen him in many dramas he did a great acting here. the rest of the cast and story pace was amazing too. if you have not watched it, it is highly recommended
first I want to say that I love KJ character... and love the possibility that he and IlRi ends up together tough it seems that this won't happen (I am in ep 12) I think the girl has a Dady issue and HT's filled that empty space (even the mom is happy with HT)... I definitely hate that he knewing about her talent let her to continue undervaluing herself and became slave for his family. she seriously could be a lot more if she had confidence and support but her mom and husband were ok with her being an ordinary housewife (and even less) and she believes that too (or made her too busy to think otherwise).
unlike others here I seriously hate HT character. I am sorry for her to got in this trap and seems to back there in the end again. I am not saying KJ is the best for her but with him she would understand herself a lot more and would learn to be more selfish and make something from herself instead of being in service for others to live their lives.
wow! this is intense! and one episode a week! I envy all the people who gonna watch it all together later when it's finished! and I confess that this is the first time that I rewatch past episodes of a drama waiting for the new ones to come!
