They wrote about and centered plot on creatives ,yet REFUSED to hire actual creatives 🤡🤡🤡
Had to pause when they tried to convince us that the character ML designed even remotely looked like the FL, when it looked like the 1000s of AI-generated mobile game characters of today. Not even a single unique feature (could have easily adopted her eye color). The AI animation of the character he drew also got me. So many animators are getting laid off nowadays and it just sucks they could not get a single one to cover the ML's expertise in this. Not to mention the opening sequence of the show.
Don't really understand the online hate ML was getting. Would say his acting's good here. The story isn't fantastic and the plot is linear. Nonetheless, it succeeded in retaining viewership and keeping its audience entertained. That is a feat of its own. I enjoy watching the main couple, though I think the 2nd couple (secretaries) was highly unnecessary.
One of the rare cases I got zero butterflies watching a romcom, but still really enjoyed the overall experience. I especially liked the ML and how the leads supported each other throughout the series. Light and a little braindead watch. Would definitely recommend to just try it for yourself and go in without any high expectations.
I really enjoyed this! The cases were interesting and the drama was rounded off very nicely. Liked the central message of love- which is unexpected given the drama's litigation premise. The only downside imo is the romantic chemistry between the leads being almost non-existent. I think it's also due to the ML's performance. I don't think they fit as romantic partners (what the show seemingly wants to build towards). Very good mentor-mentee chemistry tho.
ML is HOT. And I hardly use that word to describe male leads. Despite the bad boy vibe, such a gentleman to the FL. The whole series was like reading a good Wattpad story.
The number of ridiculous and annoying characters in this show is beyond me- Liu Chang, the princess, Mudan's stepmom and stepbro, Shengyi's ratass brother etc. Ep 12 with the random plot twist also infuriated me. If the lines were written with more remorse, I would've probably passed [REDACTED]'s past mistake as something done in a fit of rage. But he still defended his own actions so readily?? Such an unnecessary plotline bfr.
Enjoying the show but dislike the romance (as of ep19). Xiang An Tu is kind of annoying and can't take no for an answer. In turn, gets in the way of the ML for attention and pettiness. She lacks grace and has a distasteful degree of immaturity. ML can act well in any other case but isn't convincing with acting in love with her- he looks at her the same way as he does anyone else. Overall, they have no chemistry and I wish they stuck with being business partners that didn't overstep.
His looks are perfect to bring out the emotion of anger from the viewers, his look fits the character he is playing.…
Maybe i'm just not used to his character or theatrics then? I guess it'll take awhile to warm up to his character. And I do mean what I say about charming tho- looks aside, the way his character carries himself atm doesn't feel charming nor charismatic.
Why did they pick such a mediocre-looking actor to play Wei Shao's supposedly charming cousin? No charisma or looks to fit the character archetype. Can't take the character seriously as of ep 12.
Thankfully, ep 13-14 smoothed things over
