"We shouldn't live in loneliness, isolated from people"
Note: Just a random thought—I haven’t fully read the article yet since it’s quite detailed and deserves proper attention. Though it mainly discusses the movie, this statement caught my eye, so here I am in the comments.
We humans thrive on connection—it fuels growth, happiness, and progress, just as it always has. After all, we’re social animals. But lately, especially post-pandemic, many—including me—have started cherishing solitude. Solo trips, solo-dates, and binge-watching dramas (like many of us here on MDL) have become fulfilling ways to enjoy our own company.
Truthfully, being around people can sometimes be exhausting, especially if the energy is toxic. That’s why I often tell myself and friends to find peace within themselves first rather than constantly seeking company or external validation. It’s all part of self-love—learning to enjoy your own presence before relying on others for happiness.
Solitude can be refreshing—you just have to make sure it doesn’t slip into loneliness! 💖
Parting Question to Anyone Reading This: What’s your favorite solo activity that brings you joy (besides dramas 😉)?
She would be perfect for sure! I hope she does take on the role. Also this gives me similar vibes as of anime "I'll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History" 😂
Ep 30 - Not quite a rant, but something about this isn't sitting right with me, so here I am, typing it out. This…
When the Queen of Dongxia recounts the backstory, is she implying that she and Zang Hai's father had romantic feelings for each other? The man literally says, "I would sacrifice my life rather than waver from the path of righteousness." So why all the lingering glances, boiled water moment, and everything else? And I get it the hug was a good move for both of them - but why did uncle give the book to her? That means there was something? But why uncle - why - you could have given it to your son or disciples back home! Or was it a payment for taking away the Gui Seal?
Anyways - even though fleeting and they did not "technically" act on it - it can be very well labelled as cheating in my mind and this is why it was not sitting well with me 😭😭😭 Since am new to historical C-dramas, and C-dramas in general, is this something usual?
I get that historically, many wars and ballads have revolved around women. And while this drama is undoubtedly compelling, I’m really struggling with the portrayal of the FL and now her mother. This is a revenge drama—let’s keep it focused on that. The whole seductive-woman angle is making my experience with the show decline more than I’d like.
Ten more episodes to go—hopefully, this aspect doesn’t persist.
Ep 30 - Not quite a rant, but something about this isn't sitting right with me, so here I am, typing it out. This is related to FL and FL's mother - The Queen and how their characters are woven in the main story.
Spoiler - so adding it under the tag as first comment 😪
Also, I can't be the only one distracted by the Queen’s lips—its not in a good way 😭😭😭
1) Bun Hong ahjumma/Hosu's mom: She was already a good character, but after this episode she has earned more respect and love 🥹💖🙏🏼
2) Se-Jin: I noticed he is not in the opening credit scenes/animations - Why? Anyways, he is such a positive influence not only on Mi-Rae, but breaking the 4th wall and his words/actions impact us as an audience. Very well written character - He is THE healer for Mi-Rae, but I feel there could be more to his own story than told so far.
3) Se-Jin x Mi-Rae: I am loving Hosu-Mi-ji's long due love story, but am personally very invested in Se-Jin and Mi-Rae's story of love and healing. Can't wait for the writers to amp it up another notch or two!
3) Hosu's face and issues: It is so damn adorable - like he's doing the awkward thing so well. Such a cutie, and it complements so well with Mi-Ji's personality. Also, we are uncovering more layers - he seems like a person doing well on the outside, but like the sisters he too has his own insecurities. I hope he overcomes them together with people around him but mainly with himself.
4) Mr Park Reveal: WHOA! Totally unexpected, one of the best twists in dramas ever TBH!
Ep 7 - Ending: The bears are finally seated together 🥰Could this mean our girls are healing? It was cute -…
Rosa and Sang Wol grew up together and were from the same orphanage. Rosa used to be a great poet and she went to university, whereas Sang Wol had a learning disability and therefore could not continue her studies, but was always cheering for her friend.
At some point as a young girl, Sang Wol had issues in her stomach (that's the hospital flashback scene we saw). She probably had a illness that was not looked into or it was caused by some form of physical abuse (as we saw Rosa saving her in early flashbacks)
Later, Rosa married and had a son with a man (maybe from her University) but turned out he was abusive. So Rosa and Sang Wol together fought back and accidently killed him. Rosa testified for Sang Wol and so her sentence was short.
Rosa probably was dying as well, and therefore the two women exchanged identities (hinted at our own Yoo sisters). Rosa died and Sang Wol lives on as Rosa, carrying on her work - probably getting her poem published, as well as opening the scholarship in her name from the money the work earned.
What remains to be seen is - who is son? and where is he now? Could it be the Lawyer Senior? Or Strawberry Field Se Jin? Or someone else entirely. They have to be older than our triangle - Hosu and Yoo sisters.
Update Post Ep 8 - it is someone else and they are in an medical institution for mentally ill patients.
Ep 7 - Ending: The bears are finally seated together 🥰 Could this mean our girls are healing? It was cute - whatever the meaning be: for sisters healing or the romantic connections 💖
Also hints are peppered in earlier episodes - but I have a theory for Ms Rosa's identity. Adding it in the comment below, under spoiler tag. Lmk what others think who have seen it?
I like the fact that Se Jin is helping Mi-rae to heal and find the right path for herself. But how did he come…
Hahaha he is very perceptive as a person though he gives the vibe of being aloof Probably knew it when she started animatedly talking about things in finance
And also cause I don't think the sisters can really hide their true selves especially towards someone who cares and sees them which I feel is one of the message of this drama ❤️
Firstly - I have loved the mini-series Splash Splash Love A LOT! I have been recommending this series to a lot of people, and coincidently did so in a social media platform on a post and it literally blew up. So glad to know that it is well-loved even today, and I hope more people go ahead and watch it!
Secondly - OMO! I am so glad that these two actors are going to be back on-screen AND that they will be paired up. They are truly great talents but have had a hard time breaking through and getting meaty roles. Especially for Kim Seul-Gi, I think she gets passed up as the comedian and not taken seriously as a leading actress, which is why am super happy to read this news article.
Really wishing the drama airs soon and that it is a hit! The premise definitely sounds cute - so am hoping it does really well, and brings these two talented artists in the limelight, which is deserving and long due! 💖💖💖
As far as the story summary/premise goes - I know I will love the plot, if they do it right. I can see comments saying 1st 2 episodes were good and funny so far. Adding it to my PTW for sure.
But given this is 12 eps and I had a heartburn with the ML's last work I saw - Heartbeat, I think I will wait till more episodes air to give this one a try.
Also, this is giving me Extraordinary You and W vibes - and also some amazing anime, so will definitely keep a tab on this one. 🫡
1) You realize their switcheroo really did not fool anyone who's been "really" close to them 😅 2) Ho-su is such a cutie-pookie, I am loving this awkward version of Jinyoung 💖 3) Strawberry Farm owner - his way of confession is way too casual - but I love it 😂 4) Lawyer Senior actor has always played comedic roles, at least the ones I have seen - it feel refreshing at the same time want to punch him for giving evil vibes 😈 5) I do have a hint of who SY could be but waiting for the reveal #Mystery 1 6) Who is Tae-hi talking to in his apartment - SY or someone else? #Mystery 2 7) Again have a hint - but what is the deal with Park, Mi-rae and rumours? #Mystery 3
This is such a great drama - I wish they would air everyday and not make us wait so long till the weekend 🥹🥹🥹
Thank goodness for her analyzing the situation properly! 😃Otherwise, it would have been 😑 🤦🏾♀️.
Hahaha yeah! I mean for a moment I thought she was pretending when she took away an account he was working on. But turns out it was the mentor/sunbae's doing.
So glad that he has her - she really seems like a good and cool mentor, who's like an elder sister and truly cares for him!

Hosu: Thank you..for not letting Miji know that I know 🥹
Mirae : I already told her 😑
Hosu: 😲😲😲
Miji: 😳😱😳😱😳😱
this was so fun, seeing the 2 awkward pookies squirming 😂😂😂
