I really want to see this, especially now that I've seen some of these actors in other things. I hope we do get an international release, but if not, some kind soul will likely sub it for us. I just hate to wait.
What? I am being serious. I have nothing against the actress. She just looks plain in the photos. Maybe they're bad photos. I've never seen her anywhere else, so that's all I have to go on. Please don't take it personally. You're allowed to love her regardless. I didn't say you couldn't.
sometimes production gives dates and they don't come out at that date, so it might have changed
Ooh, could you link me to that info? So weird that none of the Thai sources I use to keep up on releases mentioned it! Actually, it didn't occur to me that it could be released in theaters, so if that's the case, that actually does make sense.

Yes, I understood what you meant. I was saying that I didn't think that was the case here due to a number of factors. Either way, hopefully we get a more accurate date soon.

I don't think so in this case. The announcement that the "show," now movie, was back on came in late November or early December (can't remember off the top of my head). The announcement suggested that they'd just started filming. But again, I could be misunderstanding. I haven't seen any updates about it at all, though, from any of my usual sources. If it had actually come out, someone would have mentioned it, but I'm not sure what happened here.
I only watched this for Plustor and Earth, but the comments had me thinking it was gonna be way worse than it…
I did hate everything with the parents, but having watched a lot of eastern media at this point, I'm used to the "sacrifice everything for nasty parents who don't deserve it because we must always put our parents above us" BS. The fact that it also just trails off and never tells you what it was like for them living in that dynamic is a disappointment. I would have liked to have seen that scenario play out in a satisfying way, where everyone is essentially getting what they want, even if they still have to bend to the prejudice of those around them. I just hate that his awful parents get what they want.
The acting wasn't the worst I've ever seen. The writing wasn't the worst either. It was just an incomplete story, a snippet that gives us a glimpse of someone else's life, rather than something fully realized. For what it was, it could have been worse. Although I wish we'd gotten a hotter scene with Earth, like with Plustor. They barely touched each other. It makes me wonder if Earth really is trying to maintain a "clean" persona, based on something he said a few years ago.
I only watched this for Plustor and Earth, but the comments had me thinking it was gonna be way worse than it was. It's really not that bad. I can see why people are frustrated, but I appreciate seeing some nuance when it comes to relationships and sexuality. I did hate everything with the parents... (continued in a spoiler below).
Thor is the actor he's likely end game with, the one he went to high school with. The guy in the car was a different actor, and he isn't listed on the cast page.
I'm kind of confused, but is this back on then? I couldn't understand a good portion of the expo, but I've seen different people reference this project. Or so it seems? EDIT: Never mind, I see the newly cast actors. I'm glad this has been given life.
I'm not sure what's up with that release date or how they were able to submit it, but I think it's incorrect. They just barely announced that they were working on the movie, I don't think it came out two days ago. Does anyone know more? Maybe I'm mistaken.
Does anyone know who the actor is who was hooking up with Army in the car? He's so pretty, but I don't know who he is, and he isn't listed on the MDL page yet.
I wish MDL would take canceled projects off of the pages of actors. It's annoying seeing them at the top of the list and then remembering the show isn't happening.
I don't mean to be rude, but I'm very confused. So the girl who looks like a super model (Green?) is the "plain" girl, but the average-looking girl is the wild beauty? Just looking at the cast photos, it was a strange choice. Not to be unkind to the girl they picked, it's just kind of odd that they picked someone so unusually gorgeous to be the "ugly friend" when the one meant to be the hot girl is actually a little plain. Unless I'm confusing who is playing who. It could also just be unflattering pictures, because I haven't seen either actress in action before, I don't think.
I'm sorry, but how stupid is Mu Yeong exactly? Min Yeong was flat out cheering them on, and he's still like, but they're dating! I liked that this show talked about nuance in sexuality and stuff. That was really cool. But I can't stop feeling annoyed with the very forced misunderstanding and the fact that they're still doing the dead fish kiss. It'd be better to just fake it at that point. I don't know.
Korean BL is great at picking visually appealing actors, but they need to find guys who are willing to work on the chemistry. Even so, that isn't what irked me the most, so if they'd just made the MC less clueless, I'd be more forgiving. Plus everything with the friend was weird and rushed, and I just felt like this didn't live up to it's potential. Which is a shame, because I liked other things about it.
The final episode killed it for me. I was enjoying it and the humor, and I was willing to tolerate the drama because shows like this always must force in silly drama right at the end. But yeah, I get that forgiving parents and letting them do whatever is a cultural thing, but nah, that ain't it. The end could have been sweet if they didn't include that gross bit, only to act like it didn't even happen. I want to have fond feelings over the show, but it'll require me to pretend like the violent assault and injuries never happened, because the show sure as hell acted like it didn't. What was the point? It basically just laughed it off. Went from like an 8.5 to me to like... I don't even know. Definitely started much stronger than it ended up, sadly.
