I haven't seen Lee You Mi before, but I absolutely adore Ong Seong Wu and Byeon Woo Seok. They are both incredible. Also is it just me or could OSW and PHS pass for brothers. Both are also incredibly talented.

The cast is amazing. And sure I love SWBS a lot but Namsoon's naivety is kinda endearing. I'm excited to see more of this show.

Unfortunately not a particularly meaty role, but he is an important part of the story even if he doesn't have…
He plays a member of an idol group - Thunder Boys. Probably as their leader, but he dies before the show starts. His death is what eventually leads the group of disband and go their own ways outside the entertainment industry. The story starts, i think, 5 years after they disband. It is kind of a bizarre concept. How can someone own a store and not know?

I hope he has a pivotal role in "Boss-dol Mart (사장돌 마트)" with significant screen-time... Can someone…

I have no idea what the heck is going on. There is no point to any of this story so far. Ongsa in the future is not dead. He is comatose. And Soon travels back in time for what? Why? There is no substance in this show. No plot. I am so bored every time I watch an episode I just fastforward through it.

The synopsis talks about things like soon feeling guilty and wanting to go back and feeling surprised when he wakes up in the past. I didn't feel ANY of that. Why approach Ongsa of the past? Why show him affection and make him fall for grandpa!Soon?

I am all for may december relationships, but this one just makes no logical sense. "My partner got into an accident so I'll time travel and have a relationship with their child sense so that they are irreparably traumatized and won't form a relationship with anyone and stay safe"? That's the vibes I get from this show.

This internal thought track is messy and annoying! WTF? At first I thought it was just Luv's inner monologue being voiced. But its EFFING EVERYONE's - Thad, thod, thep, sorn. So freaking confusing. And why is it like a weird creepy whisper. It makes my skin crawl.

I hope he manages to find his way back. He is an outstanding actor and it is such a shame that his career ended before it really had a chance to take flight. Yes he was in some well known programs, but he didn't get many chances to lead the dramas.

Title La Pluie
I think it is because they don't want that the "soulmate " hear what they saying to others.
As opposed to the general public hearing what he says to his soulmate? Sounds like a major oversight. I feel like things said to a soulmate might be more intimate/sensitive than something said to someone random or a friend. And if you're with friends and you randomly start talking to someone else, that's kinda rude IMO. It would be pretty simple to tell soulmate that they are with friends so they might say things that seem random.

Title La Pluie Spoiler
I am enjoying the show for the most part. And everyone has done an amazing job with the acting. But there are a few things I find really silly in this show.

It is hearing loss, but they can still talk to their soulmate out loud, and other people can hear what they are saying. But when they "talk" to hearing people they write? Like wtf? That does not make sense. Even people who used to be hearing and have become deaf later in life can talk with near-perfect pronounciation. The time they struggle is when they are introduced to new words that didn't exist in their vocabulary when they were hearing - and even then they speak the challenging words.

This whole thing made no sense to me.

It would make sense for the hearing people to write to the person who has the hearing loss, but the other way does not make sense. Especially since the people depicted in the show are hearing, but have temporary hearing loss when it rains. Hearing loss doesn't make people mute. Yes, many people who are deaf most likely sign and so they don't talk. In this scenario though, it makes zero sense.

I have a friend who is deaf but he doesn't know how to sign and he talks as best as he can. His mother wanted him to live like a hearing person so he never learned to sign. He just speaks. And yes he has an "accent" but that is to be expected.

This show made me fall in love with Yoo Yeon Seok. So, I really hope he does return this season. But tbh I am not holding my breath. Yoo Yeon Seok did such an amazing job going from loser to hero in season 1. Like I remember watching the first episode and thinking this guy is a real chump and over the season falling in love with the character (and in turn Yoo Yeon Seok and his amazing acting - i have loved him in whatever I've watched from his catalogue of work - which admittedly isn't much).

what a dumpster fire of a show ... I'm so entertained by it for all the wrong reasons
Agreed. I am not entertained though. I want to punch myself in the face after every episode I watch. I mean I've loved Frank since "Cause you're my boy" even though he's not that great an actor. But I wonder why I'm torturing myself with this show.

Title Love Syndrome III Spoiler
In the novel the guy jumped onto him, smashing into Itt's his face with the shoulder... this is what directors…
This whole show just makes me want to punch myself in the face. I can't makes heads or tails of anything that is happening. Everything is just so toxic, violent and r*pey. Like what the heck is this show propagating? Yes, I know that is essentially the base work - some kind of f*cked up slave relationship between every single character and their partners, not to mention literally putting partners/slaves in danger by tampering with their cars.

The current villian is so freaking caricaturey it is not even funny. I need to put a reminder never to watch this screenwriter & directors work every again because it is so cringe. I'm sure there is a way to make this show not so cringe. And I don't mean this from the base material (because I know that is very sus anyways) but the production, blocking, cinematography and etc is just so bad.

This and Bokura no Shokutaku are giving me the same vibes, I love cooking series so much! ♥
OMG! I love them both! But so different. Tane is like the center of Bokura No Shokutaku for me. Have you read the manga? SOOOOO CUTE!! and its almost literally scene for scene (plus additions like the zoo in the show! It adds more to the manga, and isn't removing things like they usually do because of time)

Got to admit the "eating naked" this is kind of giving me pause on whether to start this. Don't know why I'm hung…
Don't let it hold you back. It is a very cute show. The eating naked part could have been very fetish-y, but it is really well handled. Its not creepy or weird. It's not like he's getting naked to eat in public. It's not much weirder than people who like to be naked in their own space/those who sleep naked.

Out of curiosity what were the two you dropped?

Are you watching Bokura no Shokutaku? So funny that two food-centric Japanese BLs are out at the same time.

also this is the same thing as saying, " i'm not racist i have black friends" like dude what the hell are you…
So I just found out after I posted that comment that Chimon's incident was fairly recent. But I still stand by what I said. If we cancel everyone for being homophobic we lose the chance to teach them why they were wrong. Being canceled would just make them resentful and resistant to change. I don't know much about the context and stuff though, because I don't tend to watch reality shows or want to meet celebs for this very reason. I also stand by what I said about both Perth and Chimon still being in their YDB (except maybe not Broke, which probably makes their behavior worse because they might have a misplaced sense of entitlement, IDK) phase of life.

also this is the same thing as saying, " i'm not racist i have black friends" like dude what the hell are you…
First of all, Kai, I want to apologize for the pain you may have faced. For the betrayal you may have felt when they did what they did. I am also sorry that people keep ignoring your pronouns despite having corrected everyone multiple times. *hugs*

However, I am going to disagree with this strongly. No *one* event should define anyone. Especially if nobody was hurt. And I don't mean emotionally (because lbr, there are things people can do that can hurt people emotionally without them knowing - for example, people with the name Gerard trigger a bad reaction in me - and its not their fault that their name is Gerard, and I try not to judge them, but I can't help my reaction. It triggers an emotional response in me that could hurt them).

Both Perth and Chimon are 21 and 22 respectively. The things being said about their "homophobic" behavior was years ago. Do you remember being that young (tbh I don't know how old you are, but I am assuming its older than them, maybe not and I apologize for that)? How peers and their thoughts and actions could possibly influence yours? How you might have said and done things you may not believe is right because you just want to fit in. I'm not saying that is the case here, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Do I think any of that excuses homophobic comments or behavior? No. But do I think that people can change as they grow older, learn more and become more confident in their convictions? Yes. Do I think that people can evolve in the way they look at the world? Yes. Why? Because I honestly believe that fear and the unknown can make people do some seriously terrible stuff, and on a scale of 1 to 10 of horrible things, their actions don't even register. We don't know anything about the situation - the context, their real beliefs or anything. What makes us better than them if we judge them over a video that may or may not have been intended to be posted publicly? We can only take at face value? It's like someone picking out the worst pictures of you - the ones of you digging your nose, picking a wedgie, or something worse and posting them on social media - people can speculate about how dirty/nasty you are, but they may not know the context - maybe it was posed, maybe you didn't know someone took a picture of you, maybe you had a cold.

As a celebrity people give their words and actions weight, yes. But that is not their fault or their choice.

P.S. I believe that everyone can change. It is my hope that they do. But if we keep holding things they did in the past against them, nobody will want to change because it will make them resentful too. If we want to make a better world, a better society, a better culture, we need to be able to accept people for what they currently believe, not what they said when they were young, dumb and felt they were invincible (which to be honest, I think Perth and Chimon are still in that YDB phase of their lives and are just about learning what life is about).

As a younger person, I used to get riled up and boycott actors who said homophobic or sexist things. But over time I realized that so much can be taken out of context, and some things can look really bad when taken out of context. I also realized that beliefs change. Thoughts evolve. And even if it takes decades homophobes can become less homophobic and even become allies, but we need to be open to that too. If we keep complaining about homophobia as a problem but refuse to accept people whose ideas change, we just exacerbate the problem.

There is also a culture difference. Thailand, in my opinion, is one of the most open countries when it comes to LGBTQ+ people. But because of cultural differences there are things that western communities get sensitive about that Thai people don't - a big example of this is the wife/husband thing - it is still such a struggle for me to see that. The only show that really addressed this in a way that is "acceptable" to western audiences is Bad Buddy. Another example is the whole rape-y aspect of Thai BL dramas and it triggers me so bad. But I've been told that in Thailand it is a contextual thing - it is more of dubious consent situation than non-con. But to my western educated brain, all of it is just "NO NO NO NO NO. No means No. Back away. Drunk = rape. Back the F away.."

When they say a character is fluent in english and then punch down on a character who is speaking perfectly well - he did not sound like he was saying "salmon" at all - to showcase that character and the english is AWFUL ... like why even make this a plot point if you don't have someone to consult for English script and pronounciation?

Like lets be real Q's English in that scene in episode 1 was way better than X's. X didn't say "Almond" any better than Q did. And all of the sudden the people on the other end understood it better? WTF? X also had a very strong accent and he definitely did NOT pronounce words any better than Q. I'm not saying this because I have a problem with the way they were speaking but more with the fact that they put that scene in to show how fluent and good X is at English - much more so that Q. X's English fluency was brought up multiple times in the episode. Like wtf did that script even mean? Are they a franchise seller? "We have many bakeries for you" Oh my goodness. I wanted to throw my laptop against the wall. YOU DO NOT NEED TO PUT ENGLISH IN YOUR SCRIPT TO GET AN INTERNATIONAL AUDIENCE. They will come regardless. But if you do put it, find someone who actually knows the language to proof read it. If you're bragging about fluency, get a linguist/accent coach to help with pronounciations and diction.
