Uhm well. Not feeling this yet

Honestly I have no idea if I like this show after watching only one episode. I am not hooked yet. Most of the screentime of the episode was spent to explain the protagonist future link with the chaebol family... in a little unbelievable and predictable way. I was annoyed at some parts because it was too obvious what this or that would do. I mean, at the end of the episode I didn't feel like I wanted to watch more to find out what would happen next. This episode didn't move me at all, besides enrage me when stupid chaebol parents acted like they owned the planet. The only thing I would save is the acting but not of everyone. Sufficient, but not enough to catch my attention... yet. That is why I'm giving it a 6.5.

She's getting close to know the truth

Finally Soo Wan is getting closer to know the true identity of Dylan Park. It's adorable she still misses him after twelve years, he had such a great impact on her life that she can't get over him and his mother because they "showed" her real life and happiness even if she wasn't able to see with her own eyes. The second male lead is also cute... and a little submissive. He looks like the type of guy you can order around and won't budge. This is probably why even if SW's dad seems to like Dong Joo a lot, he is scared of having him as a son in law. Maybe he also has an inferiority complex because Dylan Park will surely become a better doctor than he is? He is also reminded every day of the fact that he didn't save DJ's mom, which is painful. I hope for DJ that he will find out about this, probably from SW's cop friend. It's also possible SW's dad is the one who got DJ's mother killed as an excuse to find someone kind who would donate their eyes to his daughter. He is so fake, ugh.

Nice momentary break from the real "problems"

This episode was focused on Ae Ra and Jeong Woo's relationship. It had cute moments and in the midst of her drunkiness, finally NAR voiced her real feelings. I believe that she wouldn't have kid CJW if he hadn't known what she was planning to tell him on the boat. I knew we would have to wait the last episode to get something for the couple... but anyway, things may be resolved since CJW won't let her let him go again since they still have feelings for each other and the only (if we want to be general) mistake they did while married was that they weren't able to be on each others' side when the times were bad like a husband and wife would do.

The last ten minutes were unexpected. I knew Director Guk was being too silent, and since it isn't over yet, she had to do one last thing to ruin CJW. It is a little annoying payback because he doesn't have romantic feelings for her. TSK. At least her father seems to have understood that if somebody doesn't wish to be with you, you need to let them go their way. At least his other son got it too and he seems to have let NAR go.

Waiting for the finale!

Just when I thought things wouldn't get more interesting

I already said this is the drama I like the most at the moment. This episode reinforced this idea.

Just when you think something is going to happen... it doesn't. I like that. I like that you are lead to think that a specific event is gonna occur, but then things take a road you didn't imagine. Or the opposite.

SIGH. This is how this drama makes me feel. I get the chills when Jae Won talks to anybody. He really is a puppet who is watched 24/7 but I'm glad that he while he digs into the chairman's death, he comes to new realizations. You have to understand that vice-chairman used you and that he plans to get rid of you when you least expect it!! By the way, kudos to the acting because he really is able to pull off a stiff and unemotional character. He reminds me of Tom Riddle from the Harry Potter series. I am excited for the moment he is going to take his emotions back because we saw it in the flashback, he was an altruistic child. I'm guessing Mo Nae will be the one to help him get his good side back. Jae Wan has mixed feelings for her. I like when he does little gestures like the one at the end of episode 2 and the one at the end of this episode. Sure, he could be doing this because he wants to sweeten Mo Nae's mood, but while she challenges him, he seems truly moved...

Can't wait for the next ep. :D

Keeps getting better

I really really really like this drama. It has a great potential and that je-ne-sais-quoi storyline that keeps you on your toes. Most of what happened this episode was unexpected. I didn't think they would show via the CCTV who was the one who tried to kill Mo Nae.

I believe the bossy co-chairman is trying to push Jae Won towards Mo Nae to use him like a puppet. He triggered his will to succeed through revenge. He is already a puppet somehow, and he instructed him well through all these years so that he would see no other thing but revenge and would be motivated to make Hotel Ciel the best. I also think he is keeping JW a secret... that he isn't the son of the dead chairman and then he isn't Mo Nae's brother either. I don't know, I felt it when he watched the CCTV and said something about keeping an eye on them... that bossy man scares me but hey, that actor always does roles like that. LOL.

If my theory is correct, Jae Won will slowly come to like and possibly love (like the synopsis says) Mo Nae despite he believes she's his sister. Like, he will start to feel that there is something wrong between them, an attraction that shouldn't exist between brother and sister. And he will change his attitude a-la-Lord Voldemort. lol.

The real brother, in my opinion, is Woo Hyun. He cares deeply for Mo Nae and the dead chairman and because of his kind nature, he treats her well. It's possibly the bossy co-chairman knows this and didn't "use" Woo Hyun for his goals because he didn't think he would be cold and reckless like Jae Wan... hence, he wouldn't make him reach what he wants. A part of my mind thinks Jae Wan is truthfully, bossy co-chairman's son.

The only thing that I ask myself, is how are they gonna keep this up for 32 episodes???!!!

We'll see.

Things got more interesting

We've finally arrived to the present.

Dylan/Dong Joo is adorable and selfless man. I'm interested as why Soo Wan's dad kept in contact with him but I'm guessing he feels guilty for the past. I still can't inquadrate his character.

Soo Wan is a nice woman who knows how to defend herself. I like strong female characters. I am curious as what happened after the surgery. If she kept thinking about why DJ left without notice (because as we see, her father hid DJ's letter for her). She still seems attached to DJ's mother memory though.

Seungri finally appeared! And I was LOL. His character is funny and cute when he speaks in Konglish. I also noticed something bizarre related to his character: Soo Wan's friend at the policestation had a jacket with US tvshow Friday Night Lights quote behind (no idea if anybody ever watched it). Teddy Seo said that he comes from Texas, and FNL was set there. What if there is a relationship between them...? Don't mind me, I just find this very weird XD

By the way, hope subs come soon for ep 4 because I want to see if Soo Wan finds out/is close to find out that Dylan is Dong Joo.

Stronger than the first ep

I cried a little while watching ep 1, but this second episode made me cry more. I liked how the timing for all the stuff that happened was good for some but bad for others. It was like one was at the wrong/right place at the wrong/right time... it depends on the prospective. Who knows if the mystery will be solved someday? Hehe.

Good to be only the backstory

Very good episode and nice OST. I wanted to know the titles of every song they used! Maybe the special effects they used in the beginning were a little meh, but this is a drama so I won't complain that much.

The acting is great and there were a lot of moments that made me cry. The sad scenes balanced the funny ones. I can't wait to see how things evolve and how Soo Wan and Dong Jong's love story will develop before they have to separate. I'm already excited for the moment where they skip to the future.

Very sad episode

Finally a serious ep. Don't misunderstand me, I've really liked this drama so far but on some episodes it was just "more fun". lol.

Seung Hyun has changed all of a sudden because of his love for Ae Ra. I can't believe he's going to such lenghts to get... a woman! Like Jeong Woo said once, business and private life shouldn't be mixed. This shows how SH is still young. Enough with the revenge because the person you love isn't going to love you back!!

And the same is doing his sister. At first I really liked her character. She wasn't the usual second lead who was obsessed with the male lead and her only goal was getting his love, but then she sort of became one. Although her situation is understandable since she went through a lot because of his father, it's not good for her to want Jeong Woo only because she doesn't want to be alone. I think what she needs the most is therapy. She hasn't completely healed since the accident and like we saw in previous episodes, it's like she is imagining CJW as her dead husband... maybe she fell in love with him just because he was the closest man to her. Maybe she isn't even in love with him, she just idealized his persona.

As for Ae Ra and Jeong Woo, it's clear that their feelings for each other have resurfaced. I've been expecting for JW to find that AR had lost their child. His reaction is very IC and he was the only one who could comfort her after she remembered it. I believe we may get a baby for them after they get back together...? Y/Y? I hope so :D Right now they are in a situation where they can't be saved by their love alone. Before they can move to their dream house with a possible heir, they need to solve their current problems. Na Ae Ra may distance herself from Jeong Woo because she may think she could be a hinderance. But I see JW go get her and tell her that only if she supports him this time, they can get through this otherwise they wouldn't give themselves a chance and would repeat the same mistakes of the past.

Hope this show ends well!!
