I’m seriously sick of his name being connected to these rumors in any way, it been over 2 years and if people still need clarifications done I am happy to provide them one by one.
For Zhang Zhehan, his personal essay blog Zhang San Jian made develop a special connection, maybe it’s because we had similar childhood experiences etc. he brings a lot of positive energy for me because of his persistence and choice to remain kind after all he went through.
Of course I am a fan of his acting and now in love with his music, do I know him personally? No but everything he said in the past and now help me become a stronger and better person.
Of course none of us know our celebrity idols real life but we can choose to become a fan of someone base on things he said during interviews and personal writing blogs (all talents aside) and that’s why we choose to be a bigger fan of one celebrity over another
Unfortunately after his popularity exploded following the success of word of honor, some vicious competitors used a bunch of rumors to frame him. The worst one was using an old picture of him posing in front of cherry blossom in the vicinity of a controversial shrine in Japan and accused him of being pro-Japanese. The rumors (none were true btw) resulted in a domestic boycott of his works in China.

ZZH is my favorite Chinese actor, some of his best works are dramas word of honor, legend of yunxi, and blooms at Ruyi pavilion. His expressive eyes really captivated me and I couldn’t stop watching his dramas.
