Why would I want to watch 20 episodes of pure nonsense with absolutely no romance whatsoever, where the male lead…
so you don't like the genre of a show but also somehow want to put probably the very spoiler the show tries to bring in as a shock factor, BRILLIANT WORK i must say

I saw it too! but I just checked the name who wrote it, and it’s not the same author.im not sure if its true
that'd be cool considering the potential it'd had but so far they're keeping the works stand alone, so all we could get is references at best and those would be hard to pick up unless you'd already read most major works.

it's the same way as marvel, different authors have worked on different stuff but it's a collective universe under the label of the company ylab. they've made like two more universes aside from blue string, their most famous being super string which island part 1 and 2 is a part of.

it's called blue string universe by ylab, you can look it up. i'd say superstring is more like marvel, blue string is basically just jacked up high schoolers. but yeah they do have like a full fledged crossover manhwa, not just like simple references from one work in another.

So which is closer to the manga source? This Jdrama adaptation? The Kdrama?Or the new anime adaptation?
the anime takes it in terms of being the most faithful to the source material. after that is the jdrama which does make quite a few significant changes to the storyline but not as much as the kdrama adaptation. i personally liked both korean and japanese live action iterations, all of them have something different to offer i'd say. i tried to keep it short and simple but if you want, i can get more into detail with what sort of changes every adaptation entails.

until which arc should you consider for someone to have seen to not ruin the experience? i've only seen up to…
thanks for the reply! that's a long way from where i left it, honestly wasn't even expecting it to get that point in this season. will see if i can get some time to read one piece before watching s2. i'm in no hurry to watch it anyways, so might as well delay it ig.

Maybe it's an unpopular opinion but I feel that with the spoilers they are making here they kind of ruin the experience…
until which arc should you consider for someone to have seen to not ruin the experience? i've only seen up to the alabasta arc.

it's airing this year and it's my first time hearing about this one lol. the plot looks somewhat similar to the night has come or ousama game.

Fantastic movie. As usual, more challenging arthouse movies on the more darker side are brutally underrated on…
i would say i'm quite used to seeing films like this and still was only able to grasp the film on a surface level, so i can understand the confusion of people here who tend to start complaining about not being able to understand when the story is a bit non-linear. i somehow ended up liking AALCC a bit more than this one, both very fascinating films tho.

try watching the jp version, that one's better imo. loved tvd but originals got a better conclusion and legacies…
i think twilight got me into that (sort of, not 100% sure), it was around 9 years ago. have long since gotten out of my mythological creature films/series fever lol. spn gotta be my favorite in this genre ngl. doctor who could be a candidate but it's more of a fantasy and science fiction than mythology from real world.

no we don't. they'll only F this up.
not a live action but madhouse is making an anime, hopefully there won't be any of those weird zooming and other weird stuff this jdrama had (like those over the top sound effects for fukunaga's character). i think someone here said that it has all those things because it was adapted from a manga, when in truth the manga mostly took itself very seriously, it's this adaptation that made it a lot more light-hearted. if i remember correctly, this version of liar game doesn't present any consequences if you were to end up being unable to pay the debt you owed (might be remembering it wrong), in the manga there is always an impending sense of doom that the participants might be sold off to a island as slaves, or be lab rats, or have their organs sold, etc.

Nao pisses me off sooooo bad with the unnecessary dumbness but I guess thats the whole plot...she keeps messing…
the manga author wrote nao that way purposefully, it ends up making the later development much more rewarding. the last few volumes actually made me like nao just about as much as akiyama, in some moments even more. i've not seen past this season yet but since the films were released way before the manga ended, i'm pretty sure the later development of nao's character happens wildly different.
