I want to know exactly what cars allow the two males in the drama to be where ever their respective partners are within 2 mins of them being in trouble. Like they hear she's in trouble, could be on the other side of town and show up whilst she's still in the same scene. Writer and director took a loooottt of artistic license in this one.
The writer took every romcom cliche and threw it at this drama and still....surprisingly it was not bad. It's not great by any standards but it was above my expectations (apart from the last 5 eps which dragged forever). The FL isn't just some dumb dumb girl but can actually stand up for herself a bit and fight back. The ML is your typical bossy president lead but this role really fits Luo Zheng's acting so I'm not complaining. They have great chemistry together and the twin thing only was annoying towards the end. 2 cp was cute if a little too violent.
I actually didn't even skip through as much as I thought I would. Cute watch if you are in between dramas and need a light fluffy romcom with a nonsense plot.
Yes, for these things it's almost always their parents or managers who mess things up. So many idols have money issues cause of the people around them. :(
I think cause he has a "pretty boy" image so that's hated on. His acting is hated on though I think he's pretty good considering other idol actors, it was hated on to the point where he said he wouldn't touch a romcom drama ever again (but Mary Stayed Out All night was so good for me!).
There are some real issues with him (tax evasions) which are legitimate reasons for netizens to be angry...but cause he is a "pretty boy/idol actor"....no...
Also if you are going to play the will-they-won't-they game- give the audience more than 5 mins of the couple being together. It's annoying when kdramas pull this + n number of years apart and only give the last 5 mins of the couple together in a ROMANCE drama.
What a waste of a great cast. I hope they two leads can come back for something more substantial. This drama is visually great, but has one of the most tired story lines (a truly dapttaphae friends to lovers plot). The writing was meh, the ost plain (expected better music from something where the characters are in the music industry). The cast was great, but there's only so much you can do with meh-writing.
Everything just felt so....unremarkable, except maybe the cinematography. It's a good thing this was only 4 eps- I was already fast forwarding towards the end because it was becoming too will-they-won't-they.
You know, I watched this when it first came out and at that point I thought it was cute but not that great. Now l when I look back at clips of it on YT it makes me smile so much and feel so good. This was really a great drama! I judged it too harshly when it first came out. JGS and MGY made such a cute couple, I wish they would reunite in another drama. But I think JGS is never going to touch a romance drama anymore :(

This was good but not remarkable for me. I actually really enjoyed the saeguk part of the story line, the comedy and overall plot was good, as was the acting for the most part. I have to say I was so impressed by the three female actors in this drama (FL, Shaman, Ghost). Each one acted so well, I look forward to seeing more of them.
What this drama lacked was good script. Although the writer was good at the comedy, they dragged out parts, had too many filler scenes of nothing happening. I think from 13-15 it was really really boring, esp for something with an interesting crime subplot. Even before that there were too many scenes that were just boring. The script either seemed to forget there was a bad guy out there or in the serious parts just couldn't deliver.
This is a drama I know I will forget because the writing lacked the punch for a plot like this, but it was good to simply pass the time. This could have been better as 12 eps as opposed to 16- I really felt them struggling to fill the time in this the way cdramas do with 32+ eps.
I agree with your comment regarding "Starforce". But sadly Agency like starforce is still non existent in Korea. This…
100% agreed. It's about changing the mindset of this so called fan culture. Basically idols have to be like ef this, like Shin Min Ah and Won Bin. They just forced the fans to accept the relationship, and even though it took a few years now people support them.
Personally after watching so many long winded cdramas, I feel this cdrama is kinder sweet, short & precise. No…
I wonder if ALL writers suffer from lost first-loves because childhood sweethearts is such a big trope. I have zero memory of who I was friends with as a kid and only keep in touch with my closest friends as a teen. The idea of such strong childhood first love is alien to me.
Cute & adorable. At first I didn't like the FL but she won me over quite quickly. This was better than a lot of full length c-dramas. I recommend when you want something that's got decent acting and is short and sweet.
I'm on episode 4 as well. It's not fast paced but it's not boring for me. CLOY was more boring for me than this…
Same, CLOY was good up till the time they were in NK. Then after that it was meet, tearful goodbye scenes- rinse and repeat every 2 eps. Got boring real fast then.
If someone suddenly breaks a rumor that Mona Lisa was actually Shakespeare's daughter, morons with no life will…
For reals. I can't imagine people who actually spend their life/time actually hating someone just for existing or leading a better life than them. Man go out there and do something about your own instead of being a bitter soul.
Although this isn't ground breaking it is such a sweet watch. This drama leaves with you all the warm and fuzzies - a feat not easily accomplished in a drama with multiple couples and side characters. It's a fun watch when you just need something sweet a-la Weightlifting Fairy (it has similar vibes). I found all the couples charming and unique in their own way, and I usually dislike dramas with more than 2 couples in a story but the writer really pulled this off. The main leads seem not to have enough screen time somewhere in the middle but the other couples make up for it and then it picks back up for the MLS in the last 2 eps. Also I liked that for once when friends gather everyone got space to talk about their issues and it wasn't just the main lead using 'friendship' as an echo-chamber.
I wish companies like Starforce actually existed, who didn't treat idols/actors like products but as humans. Then maybe netizens would also treat them as humans too and not go crazy for "dating scandals". Hopefully the deeper meaning (packaged in sugar sweetness as it is) still gets through to both companies and fans. Antis are just crazy weirdos so there's no hope there.
My only critique is that the OST is forgettable and Lee Sung Kyul as pretty as she is still needs a lot more work as an actress. The ML did a lot of the heavy lifting in the emotional and chemistry scenes. I thought she was pretty decent in Dr Romantic but here she was flat in a lot of scenes (though there were some that she did well in). It's not all bad- she just needs improvement. Also her weight loss in this is a little worrying? I hope she's ok.
Overall a cute watch, slight dip in the middle but it picks itself back up pretty fast and is everything you want in a romcom.

I love her too, she's my new girl crush, esp after My Name. He's ok too but she's definitely on her way to be a really great actress.

Reply 1997 did it better.
