I'm really amazed at how many people rate this movie as "brilliant". The movie started out okay, but…
OK let me tell you, this is just my assumption so dont get angry. I probably think this is too much gory for you and too much weird, i mean ITS AN ART FILM.
The person I mention who watch so many fangirl actors is YOU. Cause I dont see any fangirl drama that is gory and artistic like this.

these are yamada's drama and movies.
Tegami was better than byauyakou IMO and also from the book by keigo higashino. Sekai no chusin was probably sadder than 1 liter of tears cause it tackles nostalgia than death. Taiyou no uta was not great IMO compared to the movie. I dont like waterboys and fireboys they are too IDOLISH. Battle League Horumo was fun and it has chiaki kuriyama. MW was not great too hollywood-ish their acting was great tho. His last part in ikigami show he has dramatic chops too. His take on densha was more realistic than ito atsushi's densha cause I havent meet an otaku the way atsushi portrays( that was TOO extreme ), tho the drama was better than the movie. 13 assassins is a must see the best samurai movie japan has produced since beat takeshi's zatoichi.
Have you seen Milocorze?? for me its his best performance yet.

I like your favorite actor tatsuya nakadai and toshiro mifune. I liked that days in japan where real actors are acting. Shame now japan is conquered by jpop fangirl actors.
what no comment??? most underrated japanese actress FOR SURE.

Im a guy but im a fan of yamada takayuki....he has this huge screen presence that made him stole crows zero from oguri shun. I dont know but I have a feeling that someday he will go international so much screen presence here and his acting is brilliant, best japanese young actor IMO.
this movie was actually really boring to me. I watched it right after I saw the drama version. It was just too…
The boring moment for you is great for me. Those silent moments of the movie was intended. Have you notice the theme when yui is on screen? ITS DARK when kouji is on screen its bright....then when they meet together its grayish, dark meets bright. How about the emotion when yui moved that post so that he can see kouji clearer in the morning(is that not romatic?). I seriously love this movie its so damn artistic, it even shown in cannes.
About the drama how can you fill those 10 eps without those annoying friends and their wachikness huh?
This is better than the drama. WHY??? cause the drama is like made for ratings THIS one is made for the sake of ART. I like the artistic view of the director i mean those silent moment of the movies.
The drama is different especially in the first episode the part where the main characters says "I love old books, not just because of the story inside, but because as they passed hand to hand....that writes its own story too" THEN a superb music comes the camera fading out books falling from the shelves. Brilliant directing!!!
