its based on prince seo hyun, who was captured by the qing. and the character in my dearest is also based in that same prince so yeah, they're gonna have similarities because it actually happened. then the differences are their fictional liberties.

I personally don't think it takes up much of the drama, although just 2 episodes in. its not like the drama is centered around it. but to each their own.

not incredible but good enough to finish for me. also I do like the ml and fl so that helps. finished at an 8 for me.

I agree. there's no reason to have more than 100 episodes. 100 was more than enough to wrap it up. bad writing leads to dragging it out another 5 eps.

the historical parts were my favorite. the rest is ok. overall I'm glad I watched it.

yes. it took a little bit to take off for me personally but by ep 6/7 I was fully sucked in. a lot of ppl said they liked it the whole way so either way worth a watch/give it a chance.

just finished the last ep and I cried when the mom killed her 😭😭 i was like "this is dropping the rating for me 😠" 😂😂. but then the ending said SYKE so it went back up 😂 waiting for season 2.

I also thought it was slow in the beginning. but it got better around ep 7 for me

it does really seem the reviews are pretty split between ppl loving it (9-10 rating) or not (2-6). I think its a 6.5 to 7 for me. ok enough to keep going lol
