On You Are My Spring Feb 15, 2022
A heartwarming and feel good drama for us who don't dig much suspense or zombies. There are huge plot holes in this drama but it is still very likeable. The best things are the intelligent dialogue, discussions about psychology, movies and books. The main leads are very likeable, and slowly overcoming their painful experiences as their relationship develops. The murder plot is in key place in the beginning, but somehow drops away to the background in the second half. We are introduced to new characters in the latter half constantly, and their stories don't add anything to the drama. So many unnecessary characters that only have about 15 mins of screen time. And they key character played by Yoon Park doesn't get enough time so we're left guessing what he really was made of. Villains are brought to the picture, who have not been introduced to the viewer at all. So, very lacking in plot development but you'll be won over by the MLs beautiful smile! So sympathetic. FL is a good actress without much chemistry (in this or other dramas).

It lacks direction and polish, it tries to be everything but ends up being nothing. Starts out like a dark thriller…
Very true about the unncessary characters. This is good though for someone like me who has already watched all the similar type of dramas!

"Underrated" means having a score no higher than 8.5 or 8.6. Very few dramas get 9.0 or higher, so dramas lime Prison Playbook (9.1) are definitely not underrated. But I do understand the logic. Just Between Lovers is underrated in the sense that it is not at all well-known, so there is that criterium as well.

I watched this on Viki where the title is "Just Between Lovers", but I noticed some people in the comments not…
Well said. Just Between Lovers sounds like a fluffy rom com and this is nothing of the sort.

Decided to drop this after episode 8. It's getting too slow, boring and repetitive. Too many discussions with the emotionally cold one-dimensional father and too many flashbacks to youth. Am glad I could read here that it's only going to get worse and 20 episodes clearly is too much. Wasn't impressed by the main leads and their chemistry was nonexistent. This isn't drawing me in to their story emotionally at all. The psychiatrist was the only promising character, but not central enough to keep watching.

Entertaining. I watched this whilst waiting to find something better. Gave it 8/10. I didn't really expect much, so the scale is on a positive side. The FL was not what she was supposed to be, smart or refined. I don't really like FL actress in this role or other ones. D.O. was good at least. I wasn't as bored by the palace politics as I expected, that's because Jo Sung Ha is such a charismatic actor (he's also excellent in Save Me). There's always the soft and veiled intellectual side to him in a villain role, which just makes the whole thing more interesting. Kim Seon Ho is pretty crucial for the drama to remain interesting. There's quite a lot of overacting in the support roles, something I never like to see.

I'm in need of a new drama with lots of comedy! I need some laughter in my life right now. So this drama was pretty…
Hwarang! Man to Man is also very funny

Chose this for Park Sung Woong. He's such a thrilling actor. This one's wholly relying on him. We're wondering always what's going on inside his head. Whether he's going to be funny or scary next. He's a magnet for holding the audience's attention even when not doing much talking. I recommend this to anyone who likes his acting.

This drama is gonna be mediocre at best and you can already guess that the ML and FL will end up together with…
What's the platform you're using since most of us need tv and other devices to watch a drama. Clairvoyance? Tarot cards? Premonition? Am definitely gonna watch.

It's funny how people can't even wait until the premiere of the drama to give reviews. Even if the plot sounds…
Totally agree. There are other things than plot, there's cinematoraphy, directing, script, dialogue, music, pacing, costumes, interiors, design.....and if people don't observe or see these things, why do they bother to be self-appointed critics hahahahahaha. It's really so funny! Park Min Young is the queen of chemistry and Song Kang was great in Love Alarm, we could really feel his pain. Very much looking forward to the drama!

K-drama is one big joy we have amongst the lockdowns. Music is another but when it comes to music, people don't go watching bands that they don't like. They don't comment on websites of bands that they don't like. It's clear to everybody that taste and identity are intertwined and taste is a precious personal thing. So we don't want to give bad feelings to other people by telling them how poor their taste is. Negativity is something I didn't expect to see here, since Netflix for instance has genre codes for more than 1000 genres and people can watch whatever genre they like. Stepping on peoples tastes and feelings is somewhat unnecessary since command and control operations on drama tastes will never have any other effect than diminishing other people's joy of sharing.

The drama hasn't even come out and peeps here are already writing about how terrible it will be. Why not wait…
