Title 18 Again

so my head literally felt like spinning when oraboni bent on his knee to propose to her. did that a sign that…
that was a very good scene. I want similar ones between our mains. Them discussing their feelings as excitedly as about a shopping list.

Best to watch with zero expectations. It's quite entertaining and not too gore. Nothing makes sense about the game and I wouldn't be surprised if the ending won't provide answers.

Lee Se Young is just brilliant in this. She's comedy gold. Watching for her, don't really care about the family heritage fighting plot. It's dreary to watch unpleasant people and Jin Kyung always has these bitchy roles that she could do whilst asleep. I find Bae in Hyuk bland and dry, sorry. I liked him in Kiss Goblin but he's just as bland and dry in At a Distance the Spring is Green. I guess he's supposed to be sickly, cold and serious but. I hope this gets better.

Acting is over the top aka amateurish across the board. Director's choice obviously. I don't really believe this…
I thought the tone and acting was similar to When the Camellia Blooms and after checking, that's indeed the same director. Acting like this is very much directed to the domestic weekend drama audience. Writer has The Sound of Your Heart under her belt, not my type of humor really.

Acting is over the top aka amateurish across the board. Director's choice obviously. I don't really believe this will get better, since the support characters already come across as cringey. Seems like they wanted something like Hometown Cha Cha Cha mixed with Our Blues mixed with Forecasting Love and Weather. Of course I hope it gets better but already not really having faith in it.

Am i the only one feel JCW's acting is bit over in this drama? He tried very hard to act an ordinary countryside…
Shin Hye Sun is ever worse. Director's choice I guess. Acting is over the top aka amateurish across the board. I don't really believe this will get better, since the support characters already come across as cringey.

definitely a promising start. Jang Dong Yoon with superpowers and head over heels smitten Nana are so much fun to watch. Good chemistry.

Mediocre drama. The plot was stolen by the story of abusive father. It felt as the story of singing took a back…
well said. completely agree.

Oh wow..😶 after reading the comments it looks like people are not happy with this drama...anyways to me this…
It's one of the best this year for me, and def the most satisfying for the romance part. I only took a glimpse at the comments, this is one rare case where I don't want to read them.

Prob my fave couple of the year. Feeling their feelings, they are a great match. Lovin this drama so far. Just that Jung Woong In has had too many villain roles already, it's not motivating to him and that shows. Hope he gets more versatile roles. He was utterly chilling and scary as the villain in Empress Ki and I Hear Your Voice.

Well that kiss was disappointing. I thought we'd moved on from passionless kisses in KDrama land lol.
As in Forbidden Marriage. KYD is def not a kisser. I forgive him. Great actor, love to watch him.

cha eunwoo's acting this episode ouh- this is the most I've seen him with such gravitas and acting prowess when…
If you haven't watched Hit the Top, he's so absolutely hilarious in it. I don't think he deserves any criticism, many uni-trained actors are way worse.

The director and cinematographer are such friggin amateurs. There was zero buildup or excitement in Rowoon's confession scene. The main characters are mostly filmed from somewhere on the floor or maybe the cinematographer prefers to be sitting in a chair. The trick of filming from the below would work if this was a horror series. Otherwise, what a waste of Rowoon. None of this being so mid/boring is his fault.

On When the Devil Calls Your Name Nov 25, 2023
When the Devil Calls Your Name is a very character-driven drama. Quite untypical, since the devil (Park Sung Woong) is very sympathetic and continuously becoming more humanlike. Whilst the protagonist (Jung Kyung Ho) starts off as a very lacking human being but ends up growing to a decent one. I guess at this year (2023) of action-packed and character-depth lacking Disney k-dramas I wasn't at all bothered by the occasional draggy parts. There's a lot of philosophical content, maybe not all the time quite getting anywhere but still extraordinary. I give a lot of points for the sheer attempt at tackling moral and philosophical dilemmas. In the end, there's a clarity of what of main messages and takeaways are. That is also laudable. As for the OST, the musical style is quite unusual as well, since it's more folkish than I've ever encountered in a k-drama. It's not for me but I didn't skip any of it, either. As for the romance, it's mostly between Lee El and Park Sung Woong, and that was also a very unusual solution. Lee El is so fine in this drama and Park Sung Woong is of course a legend (in my book). Lee Seol and Song Kang are also very good in their roles.

Title My Demon
factoid: this is the second drama for Song Kang where the plot is about people selling their souls to the devil. Just finished When the Devil Calls Your Name. It's a good one.
