Damn and just like that chengs existence was wiped out and I’m glad. He never gave a damn about his mom anyways
We do not know his side of their story so we can't judge him.
The fact that Tiang never missed Xun's birthday even 30 years later probably came at a cost.
Living in the past = part of you will not be able to truly dedicate yourself to the present. It sucks that the mum and son were separated for so long but as most chinese dramas with this thrope have shown, usually there's more to the story than what's visible.
Yes, he could have reached out to her more once he was an adult but again we do not know what happened. The fact that he was willing to continue with the letters knowing the consequences should at least count for something.🙊
It's time travel, which is banned in China. So there's always a last minute "censorship ending", which…
Heyyyy....thanks for letting me know!!!!
This makes sense since most of the complaints i saw were about the ML she ended up with (but interestingly enough none of them mentioned about the novel).
Now that we know the ending we can try not to fall for any of the other MLs i guess🤭
So are they now a couple, any romance between them? I'll only watch if there's romance.
There are 2 couples technically.
The main couple's relationship status at the moment does not have an official title yet BUT it's obvious the FL has a crush on him and the ML definitely trusts her and has a soft spot for her. Their emotional intimacy is on fire but it's still not clear if the drama will give them a full on romance or give them an open ending.
The second couple likes eachother but the SFL is currently resisting her feelings because she thinks she is too old for him (age gap is probably 7-11 years may be but it's not noticable at all). It's obvious they'll be an official couple soon. They've already had their 🔥🔥🔥 moments in ep 10. SML can be abit too pushy and clingy at times for a 30+ man but I guess that's their dynamic since they've been besties for years🙈
If your main motivation is 🔥🔥🔥 romance but you don't like slow burn romances, this might not work for you but you never know- even I was looking forwardnto romance at first but I'm really enjoying their dynamic and how smoothly their connection has been developing overtime. The cases are interesting too.
People can really be hypocrite. I see some folks who have issues with age difference between leads in Bon Appetite…
Honestly neither couple should be getting any criticism. The older FL and ML from both dramas match the character ages they are meant to play and the younger ML and FL are literally adults - have been legal adults for years in fact (both in the drama and real life).
Some viewers are just too bored for their own good🤦♀️
Think Asian "walk to remember" if you are familar with Nicholas Spark's novel (or the english movie) 🙈
The ending might leave you feeling like the way how you felt with "Marry My dead body". I think Lovesick also might have a similar theme with one of the HIStory dramas too- "Make our days count" i guess? I didn't watch the BL thanks to spoilers so not too sure about this hint.
(Lol i think my hints actually spoiled it- sorry🙈)
Don't think it would meet censorship standards since it has been explicitly made clear that this is their way…
True. The flashbacks to their mortal realm meeting confirms this. He wasn't as rigid or cautious this time- the way he reacted almost felt like a carres if you get what i mean🙈
I have an issue with how the FL treats her mother. Like, she gave away her kid (to a childless relative, not some…
Jaywalking- the mum had a hunch and based on this KHM's team worked with the public records available to identify all her ticketing violations. It was a lucky guess but it panned out well.
The mum probably was scared to push too hard because the way the bully's mum was acting, there was a chance that they might have powerful contacts that go beyond the school even (such as politicians?). She probably didn't want to take a chance and risk KHM's future over a miscalculation. That being said, it's a shame they couldn't find any solution at all to help her.🫠

The main issue is that the mother refuses to acknowledge her hand in separating the twins. She expects KHM to forget her twin simply because the mother treats her well.
The first time the mother truly showed any remorse was in ep 10 and even then it was mostly after she can truly see the consequences of her actions this time (i mean the twin seems to be well adjusted for the most part despite being abandoned whereas the bullied girl was a wreck).
You can't expect KHM to be kind to her mother if her mother (and family in general) refuses to acknowledge her pain. She didn't lose just a sister- with twins, the separation would be much worse specially given the reason behind it. 🫠
It was established in one of the early episodes, that they gave away the deaf twin because the paternal grandmother looked down on them since having a disabled child isn't good for their reputation🤦♀️. In retrospect the twin had a better chance because she was given away but without a proper explanation from the mother, neither daughter can find peace.
PS: about the bully case, I'm not blaming the mum's choice since what she did was what was best for KHM.
You are partially right- they end with a knowing smile and they interact with eachother (the writer used a clever…
He definitely recognized her.
It's in the way he looked and smiled at her as well as his general vibe. He's supposed to be a big shot CEO but his interactions with her were filled with familiarity.
Also one comment mentioned how the fact that just when the FL wishfully thought how she missed her dew drink, the ML stopped drinking his tea like he was interrupted. Since it was previously established that Sima can hear her thoughts at times, it almost felt like the reason why he met her at the staircase was because he sensed her presense.
(Recognizing her too can be explained since even in the mortal realm he kept having dreams of her even when he didn't have their memories)
Interesting enough in the final scene of meeting again, I feel that after LTY said of course I know you, they…
Don't think it would meet censorship standards since it has been explicitly made clear that this is their way of sharing their soul manors - it's not subtle enough to bypass China's reincarnation/ transmigration red tape for THIS particular drama🙈
For other dramas, the forehead lean would be acceptable as a sign of affection, but here it's too on the nose (specially if you include the flashbacks along with it). They probably didn't want to risk it.

They are both amazing. I cannot see any trace of Lu's character from WDMTD either- so versatile🙊

In his POV, he's just breaking the school system and enjoying his final senior year...if only it stayed that way😅

Hikaru : *takes dating advice from penguins*
Haruka : I hate love (he'll never like me🥲)
The audience: 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤣🤣🤣

So yes- definitely a happy endijg IMO 😊

Do you want a detailed spoiler or just a hint?
