if you think about it considering his position and wealth she will never win even with good lawyers he even made…
It's like what Yun said- you use the law the feel protected/ not alone. While there was no real punishment, in the model's pov, she was liberated from his toxic chains.
Ep 20-23 beginning is his villain arc. He makes random appearances between ep 1-12ish may be? But the scenes are not too long (just enough time to take a water break if you get what i mean). He leaves once he realizes the FL likes the ML to make himself better for her so the couple's beginning of their love arc is completely uninterrupted fortunately.
We do have an obsessed SML- he started off as non threatening though a wee bit too clingy but after he accidentally found out that she was from the future and that they used to date at one point in her old life, the SML lost control. It might feel off at first but if you really think about it, his actions are in line with his character (i.e. a person who is way too obsessed about somebody).
Post loophole- I'd say work wise, it's not a complete loss. Lin Z used GQX's original app idea so it's not like…
Do you mean the whole "you didn't tell me you were from the future" drama from ep 20-21?
Lin technically took the first step to admit that honesty is important but after that GXJ admitted that the main reason she was uncomfortable was because he was a reminder of how bad her life used to be- that she knows that she was a failure in the past (TBF it was more or less one of the last things his past self told her in the elavator).
Once Lin understood that her real problem is her insecurities, he comes up with a plan to reassure her that her past life wasn't that bad using a realistic example. He ends it by giving her a chance to use her app idea from ep 1 in their new world by collaborating with him. GXJ of course is pleased since she had never imagined that the original Lin cared about her work at all and accepts his offer as well as resumes their relationship again.

***** The 2 meet up in the original timeline's office complex (the interview room she quit in ep 1). Lin told her that she shouldn't look down on her life and that the past her and the present her are both brilliant (can't recall the exact thing he said). He then proceeds to give an example as to why he likes her past self by telling her how impressed he was of her when her former self did a presentation of her app and how he was truly interested in investing in it (she didn't know at the time that he was secretly listerning to the initial presentation). He then admits that after she quit, he went through her code and figured out that Lin J sabotaged her and that he was in the process of trying to sort this when the elavator crashed. He ends his speech by telling her that the old him may have failed her but his current self wants to be by her side and support her and that he would like to work together with her to make her app a reality by syncing it with his C2 car.
im not mad w/ the ending. but wtf is that last few eps (21-23)????
YTY was showing signs from the beginning to be fair. He kept lying and manipulating everybody in order to get GXJ to fall for him. Even as a kid- even if it wasn't as obvious, some of his actions were questionable.π₯²
It was a realistic ending - they woke up from the coma. This means that all the events in the drama were just…
Time travel censorship in c-dramas are truly a bummerngl π«
Romantic dramas- Prisoner of Beauty is my top pick for this year. The MC did a really great job and they didn't really have any misunderstandings once they officially got together since they try to talk things through/ have a supportive friend group. My only warning is that you shouldn't invest on the second couple no matter how cute you think they areπ
"The Princess Royal" is also good and the timetravel arc was handled quite well. There is romance since an estranged deeply misunderstood couple travels back in time.
LOTFG- I actually liked it. The SML is super annoying but the MC is π₯. Their romance is admitedly very subtle though. DooDoo's eyes do most of the talking π The few romance scenes they do have together are really good though. Rather cozy if you get what I mean π
The Double- i was actually curious about it so thanks for the feedback! πππ
*** With SOOY, finding out the end must feel disappointing but hey it's not reaally that bad :) Thanks to the way they edited the ending, if you stop at around 32.58mins of the last episode, you can enjoy a proper TT drama with a very happy ending π
The MC definitely is the best part about the drama -ltheir chemistry was brilliant π₯ (and yes- plenty of romance from them π wise).
The second couple's scenes can be ignored between ep 11-18 honestly as they are not really that important to the main story- basically the scenes show the SFL's gradual process of learning to accept herself and break her mother's chains).
The SFL and FL reunite from ep 19 or so onwards but it's not toxic ( if you keep in mind that it's been 5-7 years it doesn't feel that absurd- specially since the SFL still has her competitive personality but she uses it for good instead of "evil").
Ep 20- beginnning of 23, their final challangr might feel a little unnecessary TBH but you kind of forget it once it's over since the rest of the episode till 32.58min is mostly about the couple on holiday.
...well. i need a few more episodes to know what happened next..!!
We are talking about the workaholic couple- they will probably drown themselves trying to find a way to get GXJ's app idea to work/ Lin to get hold of whatever rights he needs to get his project back. Once the project is in working condition they'll probably do something with a dedication to Gao.
Once things settle, an impatient Lin Z will probably try to propose to GXJ...only GXJ will probably have the same idea so they end up proposing to eachother in the flower field again.π€π€π€
[That's what I think anyway]
Bonus: -GXJ has a better understanding on investments so she will probably try her luck again to help her mother (i honestly can't remember what happened to her dad after he got bankrupt).
-GXJ will encourage her brother to try to persuit his old dream career since he really did have the talent for it. He'll also reconnect with the SFL again. GXJ's involvement with the 2nd couple would be interesting to know since she did becomes friends/ comrades with her eventually (and the SFL did contribute alot to help them win their last hurdle with the accident case)π€
Finally completed ep 20-23.If you want to bypass the censorship loophole, definitely stop at 32.58ish minutes.…
Post loophole- I'd say work wise, it's not a complete loss. Lin Z used GQX's original app idea so it's not like GQX has lost everything.
One could say in a way she fulfilled her dream of entering to Capital University even if her credential no longer exists (since that was her dream anyway- to go to CU). If she wishes to do it again, she could try again for her masters or so. Afterall she does have the potential right?
Gao's faith is unfortunate and I guess the writer probably didn't expect viewers to like him so much. C'est la vie I guess. At least they didn't directly say in the final episode that Gao is still π so those who forgot about this from the first few episodes can continue to be blissfully happyπ₯²
The SML was always meant to be a loser- it would have been good if they could have removed his last arc but it isn't a cdrama unless at least one character goes π€ͺ eh? And given how obsessed he was even when they were teens, it's not really thaaaat unexpected for him to go bersek after finding out there's a version of him who did get to be with GXJ (for a lab that handles sensitive data, they really should invest on sound proofing it)π«
SFL's redemption arc kind of makes sense in a way since they gave her about 8 years or so to "grow"/ break her mum's chains. Her compentitive personality doesn't do a 180Β° which is realistic and she uses her sly nature in a postitive manner by the end of the TT period.
It would be interesting to know how things might be handled with the SFL and Lin J in reality since the MC knows that they both are redeamable if given the chance (idk how though) π
Overall, it's not a disaster for a timetravel-coma/ dream c-drama. Could have done better but at least it was enjoyable for the most part.
The MC's π₯π₯π₯ chemistry definitely was the best part of it.
If you want to bypass the censorship loophole, definitely stop at 32.58ish minutes. The ending is pretty perfect at this point (in fact if the censorship risk wasn't there, the writers probably would have ended it at that point).
The proper way to end this drama would've been deleting the entire plot from ep19, making the SML go away for…
The only good thing I would say is that since Lin Z used JQX's original app idea for C2, work wise they aren't really that behind.
Lin Z anyway has a reputation and even if GXJ no longer has her Capital U accredition, it will not really affect her adult life in 2024 much since she will work with Lin Z (besides she is still a graduate even if it's not as prestigious). While IDK how Chinese universities work, if she truly still wants to go to Capital U again, she can pursuit her masters perhaps?
They really dropped the ball with Gao though honestly. I'm glad they didn't really go deep into his dating era nor really tell us what Lin's cousin life like in reality so it's not as bitter sweet as it should.π₯²
Can anyone please tell me if that scene where HY was sword dancing, XJ already knows that the woman dancing was…
His smile and flirtatious behaviour suggests that he knew. I mean even Chu recognized her after barely 2 encounters so XJ probably recognized her at once too since he is familiar with her movements.
So the SML naturally became successful? I saw the ep 21 promo but couldn't watch the episode yet.Seems like his…
True. In a way that's good i guess- at least we have a chance to imagine their endings.
With TianTian, GXJ can still help her. Same with the brother if he listens to her. I can't really recall what happened to her parents in the original timeline so not sure about this. Yin will probably remain a bum since there's no reason for GXJ to voluntarily help him.
Lin technically took the first step to admit that honesty is important but after that GXJ admitted that the main reason she was uncomfortable was because he was a reminder of how bad her life used to be- that she knows that she was a failure in the past (TBF it was more or less one of the last things his past self told her in the elavator).
