Really curious about this kdrama ( because of high ratings ). I want to start watching it, but first I have one…
1. The ML leans more towards tsundere than a simp upto a certain point. His actions are understandable once you learn more about him. He's basically an iceberg - there's more to him than what we first see.
2. Not really.. Both SML and SFL do not have any active romantic interest on the main leads.
SFL is a fan of the ML- i've noticed some viewers have misunderstood her actions as romantic but honestly she's just a fan girl living her best life since she has a personal connection with her idol (they used to be co-workers). The fact that she was thrilled to hear that the FL would be working up close with the ML says alot about her personality (she's not aware that the FL is married to the ML).
The SML used to have a crush on the FL when they were in college but now his priority is her safety (he comes off as nosy at times but it honestly depends on whose perspective you look at since the SML doesn't know that the FL is married to the ML and he is vary of the ML's intensions to the FL since he doesn't understand why a married powerful man seems so involved with the FL).
**** In terms of contact, SFL barely hangs out with ML unless it's for professional reasons. The only 2 casual times she was around was when the FL was also there (the FL works with the SFL at times).
While the FL is close with the SML, it's more like in a respectful senior way. Their interactions are friendly but quite respectful. Like an older brother- younger sister duo? Also they don't really hangout much either.
(Sorry for the long rant btw- didn't expect it to be so long!)
How does this drama copying ATCY? Because of the time travel theme? If thatβs the case, then all time travel…
Rather than comparing with ATCY, wouldn't "Shining for One Thing" make a better comparison? The concepts are more similar with the main difference being that LR has a closed ending and SFOT (series) had an open ending, if you badly need to compare dramas π
I mean the only similarity between ATCY and Lovely Runner is with the concept of going back in time to save a loved one - the rest of the drama is quite different since ATCY deals with *switching souls between doppleganger bodies across time*.
Character awareness of the switch, the reason behind the suicide, and the final villain are similarly quite differently handled so you can't really call it a copy.
Choosing to like or hate the ML/ actor's performance is subjective so I respect your opinion but he must have done something right seeing as he won quite alot of awards and accolades for his portrayal of Sunjae even after excluding the ones controlled by fan votes.π

Haha IKR - it's been awhile π€©
Mum will be an obstacle but it troubling that the kidnapper has a gun.
πππ
It's odd that even after 2 days, the kidnapper's face looks so bloody though. Guess they probably gought before he found the gunπ
Even after he π, it still didn't feel traumatizing at first since they made the scene so peaceful
πππ
PS: HeeJu will survive- if she does π, you know SE will probably make a deal with the π at least to get her back π

Guess we'll know for sure in another 5 hoursπ
It's supposed to be a play on his name in Korean which isn't reflected in the english translation
Guess in LR's case they really didn't anticipate it and like you mentioned, they probably spent most of the budget kn QOTπ«
The fact that TVN held a program on LR' marketing success (or something like that( is such a joke π€£
At least the wait is almost over! The pre-release is torture ngl π₯²
On the bright side, they'll probably share the second pre-release in a couple of hours

(Tried my best to not spoil the ending - sorry for the criptic answer!)
The genre usually has positive endings im general anyway so we should be safe.
