He was drugged and pushed off the balcony (ep 1 Sunjae wasn't as mentally strong at that time since he was drinking+ on meds right before the attack).
The stabbing only happened in the other timelines because he resisted the taxi driver (in ep 9, we can see that the taxi driver tried to drug him with a white cloth but Sunjae pushed him away).
I'm calling it right here and now! the one who actually killed the missing kids is not the real Baek Sa Eon, but…

Out of curiousity, did you find SW's reaction during the victim revelation scenes abit odd? Not the grief but the way it was portrayed? It's been bothering me since I saw it but I brushed it off as a "me" problem.
But after seeing ep 11's description "sad hunch", I feel suspicious again. Specially since we don't know how PDJ found the real SE and my overthinking self can kind of link both to SW's vlog.
