The villian arc was weird. The villian was disposed in few minutes with comedic background music, like he never…
They probably ran out of time. If they spent more time on Mundo’s downfall, we would have gotten barely 10-5minutes of the MC’s happily ever after/ wouldn’t know what might have happened to DanShim and the Grand Prince at the end.

The story is pretty good, but there are some things in the script that should be done in earlier episodes. Yes,…
They definitely trimmed the story.

For instance, we already know they deleted the “Fiancée’s “ childhood scenes afterall. While it made sense why her backstory was unnecessary when she was introduced as a vilainess, given how her story ended it makes sense why the childhood scenes were originally in the script to begin with (I.e. self love/ breaking free from her childhood trauma).

when seori soul swapped with danshim it means that danshim's soul was in 21st century right? or was her soul was…
The first time when they were kids, Dan Shim ended up in the 21st century. During the adult swaps, she seemed to be dormant since until their cursed fate was broken technically Dan Shim’s body was kind of restoring after the poison incident?

⚠️Spoiler
If you watched ep 14, Dan Shim’s gets to reclaim her original body at the end. It was first implied when the Sharman mentioned in ep 13 how the Dan Shim in her visions didn’t sound like our Seori + in ep 14’s clip, her dialect proves it.

Previously he didn’t really care. He wanted to win but the thirst wasn’t there until Mun Do threatened Seori and kept interfering with her life.

I’m guessing Dan Shim got trapped in limbo until the curse was lifted. So once the Grand Prince and her body…
The concept is a bit out there ngl but it makes the plot more refreshing?

It would have been good if we could have one more episode to flesh-out the concept a bit more but it was nice to see how both Shin Seorie and Dan Shim (along with both “unfortunate” MLs) found happiness in the end compared to the usual trope where one identity has to sacrifice itself for the other’s happiness.

My guess is Dan Shim was probably trapped in limbo just like how Shine Seori was. Once she broke the curse, both…
Exactly! It’s like from the moment our Dan Shim drank the poison the first time, the real Dan Shim’s life was put on pause (trapped in Dan Shim’s body). She really did live in 21st Century South Korea which would explain her dialect in the last scene but unlike our Seori, she didn’t really have to race through time and space to make things right?

wait i was so confused when danshim and grand prince survived after the fall, danshim said that she just returned…
I’m guessing Dan Shim got trapped in limbo until the curse was lifted. So once the Grand Prince and her body somehow survived the cliff, Dan Shim managed to reclaim her body?

We are missing a chunk of time but I am guessing just like our Shin Seori, Dan Shim too had to learn to adjust. Perhaps she never really forgot her real self because unlike our Shin Seori, Dan Shim grew up in a relatively loving environment with her grandmother and it was her choice to die as a Joseon kid? So it’s not like she was forced into a world of trauma dumping to the point she ended up repressing her original memories like with Seori?Even the grand prince kept commenting how Dan Shim seems completely different now in their last scnene.

Now THIS is a drama that knew how to use its limited number of episodes properly. Excellent ending given the circumstances - just like I hoped for with all major loose ends tied up neatly ❤️

PS: Did anybody else get PTSD flashbacks during the ending of the cliff scene (if you know what I mean)?🙈

An Amazing Kdrama up until the end,the only thing I wish is to have given us a little more of DASIM'S POV,IT IS…
My guess is Dan Shim was probably trapped in limbo just like how Shine Seori was. Once she broke the curse, both souls were free? It would explain why Shin Seori was always in a coma when she kept going back.

Soul swapping was it? In the lake. I didnt understand but both little seori Dashim were there
It seems like a combination. They did swap "lives" but at the same time there is some form of reincarnation involved as well since the couple has a "cursed faith".

My best guess is the "heavens" messed up when both Shine Seori and Dan Shim drowned, by switching the lives of the same soul. Think 1st life in 2nd's body and 2nd's life in the first's body for example?

It would also explain why SG has these dreams/ why Mun Do looks and behaves like the king.

I think I missed some scenes. When did she realize that he was the masked man from the past?
It was gradual. At first she kept denying it but I think after he said the exact phrase the Grand Prince told her, she couldn't deny it anymore. Once she found out about his dreams, she had to embrace the truth.

I know it’s been mentioned so many times now but honestly the casting director/ whoever who discovered the teen actors deserves a bonus - the way young Zen and adult Zen can be interchanged so flawlessly is just *chef’s kiss*. They really do look so alike - same with Ryo as well.

Thanks for the detailed analysis :)

It will be interesting to see how/ if the drama will try to redeam the ML after all that drama😅

Between LISB and this, which would you say is better?

I did like the "life lessons" aspect of LISB eventhough I wasn't that invested in their romance (no hate to them but it was obvious from ep 1 where they were headed). Kind of curious to know since I'm really struggling to continue with this drama.

As a fan of mockumentaries, I was looking forward to this but ep 1-2 failed to capture my interest so far 😅

Title Reborn Spoiler
Eito originally died back in 2012ish (the date Neo went back in time to) when he got hit on the head by the large…
Out of curiosity I dug a little deeper - while the exact reason is left ambiguous, a common assumption is that the reference book was actually correct even if fait took time to “collect”. The price for changing destiny is one’s life and eventually Eito 2.0 lost his because he did too many changes if that makes sense? That would explain why Neo 2.0 seems to be alive too (since Eito’s interruption delayed Neo’s suicide long enough for his dad to catch Neo on time).

Soo sooo glad that Netflix released all 10 episodes together. 10 weeks of suspense would have been too much to bear 🙈

How does Eito dies in first life ?When does he enters Kosies body
Eito originally died back in 2012ish (the date Neo went back in time to) when he got hit on the head by the large rolls from Sarasa’s father’s factory - remember how he saved her from getting crushed?

He probably switched bodies with Neo around the exact time.

After all that he died cos the door hit his head?
It’s all about balance. In the original timeline Eito wasn’t supposed to be alive so probably that’s what happened? The door is just a trigger to bring everything full circle similar to how he died in the original timeline.

(At least that’s my hypothesis - the manga probably has a more detailed explanation)

Edit : Also another comment mentioned how all major events remained the same eventhough our Eito tried to change them, so this too could be a factor.

Episode 11 was good, but there were a few scenes that I honestly didn’t understand 😭.For example, that girl…
About her “friend” - she’s jealous. Turns out the bratty main actress, Seori, and her “friend” were child actresses around the same time. Since the “friend” was only a human prop even when the bratty actress was a kid (she tried to be chummy by trying to reminisce about a long forgotten ad they worked together on), there is a high chance that she also worked with Seori in a similar setup back then.

Considering how Seori is finally getting a breakthrough after a 20+ year failed career, it must have really made her jealous because she’s still a nameless support actress (basically a human prop) even after so long.
