Title My Summer of You Spoiler
Episode 3:Well, that was boring...The restaurant scene, with its two-way angst, didn't seem to serve a purpose,…
Looks like Saeki did not randomly fall in love with Wataru seeing as he was the little girl from the flashbacks. Wonder what kind of angst will be tied to his childhood tho. Will we get another cliche narcissistic paren trope? šŸ¤”

I feel like the restaurant scene called out their hypocrisy in a way?
Wataru was in denial about his budding interest but was jealous throughout the meal until his friend told him how Saeki get glancing at him. Meanwhile Saeki claims to be happy just being able to share his feelings and isn’t expecting anything from Wataru but in the diner he was jealous enough to lose his cool and it had bothered him enough to bring it up again days later. What do you think?

TMAIL! I had to go back to ep 1 to confirm this. It does seem like there might be a separation but we’ll definitely get a happy ending šŸ™ˆ

It’s based on a manga so her actions are similar to her ā€œmangaā€ persona. I guess it’s an acting genre…
Haha TMAI! You normally don't notice this style in office romances šŸ™ˆ

I think it's because her character has a very dramatic imagination even in the manga as well. The story flows in her pov mostly and their arrangement is raunchy enough to justify her meltdown compared to the tame version we get in the drama.

In contrast, the ML and the rest of their coworkers are pretty chill. So in the drama it's even more obvious šŸ™ˆšŸ™ˆšŸ™ˆ

Title Never-Ending Summer Spoiler
Why would the Board care about their company using dodgy methods to acquire land. This method is used across the…
It depends on the circumstances. In this case, since the Furniture Factory director got arrested for attempted murder, his motive along with whatever evidence he left behind couldn’t be buried (just like he wanted). Aside from the above, ZW already made it clear that she had no interest of being bought off when she resigned from her position before talking to the board. So in this particular circumstance, it was quite clear that the Group might not be able to control the narrative- it’s just not worth the risk. It was just easier to get rid of Lu Z since he was the main instigator behind everything.

LX’s father anyway didn’t have a strong backing from the board to begin with since it was quite clear LX (a.k.a the favourite) favoured his aunt more, so in terms of damage control, if the Group assists the police with Lu’s arrest (along with a few more strategies like compensating the Factory director’s family as well as everybody else who was affected by the sabotage), they’ll be able to protect their brand in the long term.

PS: The last bit is just my hypthesis but given how LX and ZW were truly concerned about the director’s family, they’ll probably do something.

what's wrong with the director of the show seriously, why is fl acting like that😭
It’s based on a manga so her actions are similar to her ā€œmangaā€ persona.

I guess it’s an acting genre of its own since this style is used quite often with similar adoptions. The drama is made for Japan afterall šŸ™ˆ

Scandal is the key word. If the public hears even a whisper of a rumour that could tie their brand to the factory closures and the subsequent fallout, it can ruin the Lu Brand’s image and share value - specially in a country like China. Once ZW had evidence, even if the board personally didn’t care about everybody who was affected by Lu’s greed, they still would have to agree to protect their own investment.

It’s interesting how ā€œironyā€ was the true main character of the drama.

While it was a bit slow paced at times, for a scify, the drama is quite interesting. Kudos to Human Vapor San - for his debut role, the actor did an amazing job. The sequence with his final victim was almost heartbreaking when you know his backstory…truly ironic.

This is the kind of story with a lot going on but I kept wondering if I really needed to know all of it just to…
Oh I feel the same as well. Perhaps the plot is not for me (but then again I’ve enjoyed similar story lines in the past).

The costumes and visuals are so gorgeous and the actors are so good -with the added bonus of having RangRang and GU Ran reunite in another universe-but something about the story was not working for me I guess? There was just too much going on after sometime.

Somehow finished it by skimming through most of the episodes between ep 12- 37 after keeping it on hold for far too long. Didn’t miss much though I guess since the ending still was kind of coherent enough despite skipping through most of the story.
So I guess the answer to your question is no - tracking all their stories wasn’t needed.

What do you mean by those wlw tags? I clearly see hes man. Im super confused
I read the manga out of curiousity but they don't have any LGBTQ couples in it (at least as of chapter 13).

Perhaps they will introduce original characters in the drama? Since the main theme is exploring and unleashing one's hidden desires there's certainly scope for it- specially seeing as they cannot really use most of the manga's smut content.

hey, how is this drama? i'm not familiar with the source material, but wanted to know if this drama managed to…
The story is quite unhinged at times and very teen oriented so to get the most out of it, it’s better not to be too ā€œadultā€ about the concepts the drama covers. It’s quite bingeable since you can’t help wander what will happen next.

The actors did a great job-specially Nakamura (Ano). I haven’t read the manga nor watched the anime but the plot was clear.

From this film we know that war does not benefit anyone. Both for the country that is fighting and the country…
The age gap is only 3 years (Akira was 21 while Yuri was 18)

Title My Royal Nemesis Spoiler
Previously he didn’t really care. He wanted to win but the thirst wasn’t there until Mun Do threatened Seori…
Mundo did keep taunting him about what he could do to her + he almost murdered SG. Biding his time was no longer an option the more unstable Mundo got.

The other thing is, Mundo got cocky towards the end-specially after he found out that the grandfather was using him. His biggest mistake was alienating his aide. If he didn’t try to get rid of him, SG couldn’t have been able to close things so smoothly. The deepfake wasn’t usable at any court aside from manipulating the public. It was the aide’s confession that ruined him in the end.

They definitely trimmed the story. For instance, we already know they deleted the ā€œFiancĆ©e’s ā€œ childhood…
I feel like they may have trimmed off a bit of that explanation. But if you consider all aspects - SG’s dreams, the shaman calling their love is cursed, the whole Mundo parallels, and even the last scene with the frenemy, I feel there is a combination of soul shifting and reincarnation.

Given the parallel with their drowning incidents, it’s possible that both are the same soul but it’s 2 different lifetimes being swapped? So Shin Seori accidentally goes back to her former life while DanShim to her next life when they were kids? It would explain why SG kept having dreams and connections to the Grand Prince until Seori severed their ties by saving the Grand Prince in ep 14.

Title My Royal Nemesis Spoiler
Ending reminded me of no tail to tell. I don’t get how the prince would fall in love with the original court…
I think it kind of goes back to what the grandmother said? Her Seori (Danshim) was spunky but behind that facade she was innocent. Our Seori is like that too.

She is the Grand Prince’s type? It’s like a second chance to fall in love? He doesn’t know that they are 2 different people, just that she seems more fiery than before. It doesn’t tarnish his first love. It will always be special, but he too deserves to find happiness again.

There’s also the museum scene if you think about it - starcrossed lovers fated to meet again. It kind of applies here as well in a way.
