International fan here- I love how refreshing Jing is. Is she reckless? Sure. BUT in almost every scene you know that she's the main character- there's just something so comanding about her aura.

It’s not even like Yi and Jing made a pact to get married someday during the airport scene… it wasn’t even an open ended parting🙈

She allegedly dated the other guy when it was clear that there was no “tomorrow”. It would have been ick if she was coveting after Yi as a romantic interest actively while dating the other guy.

The issue in this case is Chen Yi is the one who is holding back (even if his intensions are understandable). From the beginning Jing made it clear she was interested so it doesn’t make sense to parade his exes around her.

It’s an exhausted trope now but logically tempting Yi to break his determination makes more sense here.😅

So we have some viewers mad that Yi’s relationship history is likely 0 despite what he claims while you have another set mad at Jing for allegedly having a rebound relationship- specially after the way she was dumped by Yi in the first place?

So what’s the right path?🐒

Honestly I feel a bit guilty about moving on from Zhou-Lu barely a week after bidding them farewell.
Didn’t expect LFY would be THIS angsty🔥 (specially considering how even Never Ending Summer was also technically an Angst star-crossed romance)🙈

It’s possible that Yi just regrets because he was there and in his POV he could have prevented it if he had given Mr Zhou a heads up that the gangsters were planning to infiltrate her workplace that night?

LFY is way better. You can’t help liking their characters. They are very “3D” as they both have their own grey sides but you can’t help empathizing with them - specially since their personalities are quite endearing. Jing is so badass and Yi never truly yields no matter how unfortunate things get.

(I miiight be a bit bias though since the initial episodes of L&P failed to reel me in eventhough I like the actors)

I did like how the drama unintentionally acted as a reminder to future stalkers how it’s all fun and games until you get tangled up in a crime you cannot explain yourself out of.

(I said “unintentionally” since the drama kind of glossed over the fact that what he did was wrong to begin with too)

Also out of curiousity, was Yi set up by him the first time when he was nearly mugged of his winnings? As in the grey haired creep orchestrated the whole thing so he can play “hero” and get Yi to work for him?

In my experience, where MLs are borderline grey “due to forced circumstances”, it’s best to avoid the novel at least until the drama is over. C-novels tend to love to romanitcize certain toxic behaviour - at least this has been the case with all drama adopted novels I’ve tried 🙈

Obviously he's an actor so he should be versatile to last in the long run. It's just that in Hopital Playlist and all the seasons/ spin off, his voice emphasised how good and comforting his character was. I just found it interesting how the same voice now does the opposit- it adds to the creepiness of his character in "The Husband".

I just can't get over the fact that they made such a kind and nice guy from another drama be so vile in this. Even his soft, gentle voice sounds rather eerie here

The vibe is more like When the phone rings only the wife doesn't escape during the first kidnapping attempt and the Husband isn't as formidable/ powerful as the one from WTPR.

It's a thriller since the kidnapper is psychotic and unpredictable/ the husband becomes the main suspect because there's a manipulated video of him orderring the hit on his wife (the guy has no recollection of it).

Ironically, even in ep 3, her flashbacks don't really redeam her behaviour 🙈

Like I understand her pain but it's crazy how she blames everything on him even after so long. If it wasn't for the fact that they keep showing her "real time" scenes, I wouldn't be surprised if she was the mastermind🙈

I’m in ep 7 at the moment. Basically for reasons not explained in ep 1, Yi and Jing were estranged for years. Based on the taunts in the pool game scene, I am guessing back when Jing was a high school student, she might have almost gotten assaulted/ killed and Yi blamed himself for it and chased her away to protect her from being associated with him. Now successful, Jing has returned to their home.

I’s still going through the flashbacks from their youth so I’m just guessing for now.

TMAI - I was expecting something awkward at the very least before starting the drama because of all “step-sibling” buzz but honestly there is nothing step about them at all. It was hate at first sight to allies at best. Given their disfunctional family dynamic (at least as of ep 2), I highly doubt Yi and Jing even actually got to have a proper sibling relationship. At best, it’s just housemates falling for eachother seeing as the parents weren’t even really official.

It sounds like one of his parents (my guess is his mum if we follow BL lore usually) badly wanted a daughter and made him do it.

His quiet, calm, and yet popular personality almost feels eerie now 🙈 when his dam breaks, we are all going to drown🙈
