I LOVE The First Frost!!! LBL is on par for me with The First Frost.

I didn't read the novel. However, I heard that much has been changed in the drama. If that's the case, how they handle the relationship probably will also be changed. Honestly, whatever it is, the drama is doing great in dealing with it appropriately and tastefully.

She didn't call him Yu, that's a major disrespect. She normally addressed him Yu Zhong. The Zhong is a title, similar to Manager, Director, Leader. In English in a real world working environment, we don't address someone with those titles normally. Typically, people would say, this is my "manager", Mr. Xiao. It's not normal to say "This is my boss, MANAGER Yu." (Or MANAGER XIAO.) Overall, I feel the person/team who did the translation has a pretty decent grasp of both cultures.

Hahaha...really? I have to go re-watch that section. 🥰. But you know, "dope" actually means nice things. It's a compliment when people says "that's so dope."

I'm not captivated by his presence, and don't find him magnetic when he's on screen. Probably because he's so slimy and conniving in his dealing that it takes away all things that truly make a character attractive with magnetism. PZ is repulsive, so far. I do give him major credit for his performance in managing to irk people.

I thought this was so nicely done because he wants to be Qin Xiao Yi, that's the real him. All this time, he was living an empty life, without a real home. She came along, kept saying "you're home" "let's go home" and now even confessed that she likes him as Qin Xiao Yi. This validates his authenticity instead of living as an imposter.

They're so head over heels for one another. 🥰

He took her to a medical facility. That's how they knew she was had mushroom poison. I actually liked how we don't know what happened as if it's from her POV. 😁

It has to do with the nuance of the language and the respect associated with addressing someone properly. I actually find the translation very well done, succinct, and yet carries the meaning across well. For example, in the last episode, they used the term "blended family" to describe ML's situation.

He knows. I'm just as puzzled. Is he being a nice business owner or he's drawn to her even though she's married?

Pei Senior caused the collapse of the building. Pei Zhen didn't know, but will find out later. Zhi Yu finds evidence and clears his father's name. Pei Senior is persecuted. Zhuling pays reparations to family effected by the accident. Zhi Yu and his mother fixes their relationship. Zhi Yu and Hu Xiu live happily ever after!! 🥰

My prediction

It's so good. Come back. Each episode gets better and better. So far, there isn't a filler episode. As of ep 14, SML is still annoying, but it seems like there's something he's not aware of about his own father.

Hahaha...yes, he did...but upset at the same time because she wasn't aware of her action, so he felt like he's being used and taken advantage of. 🤪

hahahah...so funny that people will throw a tantrum if bestie's husband turns out NOT to be a cheater. Poor guy....

The way he looks at her now...It's like he's seeing her in a new way. He's totally accepting his new fate with her. You can totally tell he's falling in love. 🥰

Finished today's episodes. It seems like Pei Zhen doesn't know what his Dad allegedly did. Ok...MAYBE...Maybe he still has redeeming quality.

I feel sad for ML with his backstory. Sighhh...so heartbreaking.
