These two are so well cast as ML /FL. I've watched a few of hers and my second by Daniel. They both did excellent and I feel this drama is their best personal performance to-date.

As for why 4th aunt is so nasty, it's because she blames her current "nobody status" on Li Zhen's immediate family. Her dead husband was next in line to take over the Li business, which means, she would be the next matriarch of the Li family; but now, she's left with nothing.

Guest is anonymous to cameo role. On MDL, there isn't a "cameo" category, or at least, I rarely or never saw one. So, listing Lup Wen Son as a "guest" is actually a more prestigious listing than as a support role.
I like how the medicinal ink main herb will NEVER be known except between Li Zhen and her mom. There will never be a formula leak even if the book is stolen. =)
Love the authentic on site location shooting of this drama. It's really fitting for the series: ancient, rustic, and raw. The black and gray buildings also bring parallelism to the ink on traditional Chinese paintings.
It made me curious about the Huizhou location, and upon more searching, there's a UNESCO village of HongCun. Other villages with similar buildings are Xidi and ChengKan. So historical and pretty when you google images these places.
I LOVE how ML knows EXACTLY who his arch enemies are. There is NO misunderstanding of any kind in whether "they did it or didn't do it" business. And because we as viewers also saw what had happened to his family, we're rooting for ML all the way. I'm so relishing every single step ML is taking in exacting vengeance.
