I didn’t read the novel, so what really happened has been revealed in the drama yet. Up to the latest episode, Shao Qi thought Ma Nian Yuan was FL when she introduced herself. So, maybe she purposely misled him. Shaoqi said he just found out Ma NianYuan wasn’t FL.

Yes, also in one of the earlier episodes, Grandfather Shen's assistant was praising how capable and smart LYS was to Grandfather Sheng. But the grandfather sadly sighed and said "It's a pity he's not a Sheng," referring to his last name as a Lin, and also an external grandchild status; in essence, LYS will never be his rightful heir no matter how capable or smart.

We have 14 more episodes. I really don't want any more SML butting his head into our lead couple budding relationship. His time has passed. I can't stand his pathetic, sad face filling up my screen, sending bad energy everywhere.

LYS is a high intelligent and observant person. I don't think Ma Nianyuan will be able to fool him for long if they were to meet in person and hang out a few times. I don't think he will find the real Ma NianYuan atractive, personality wise, once he talks to her a few more times.

Also, if Ma NianYuan has truly learned her mother's cunning way, then she wouldn't target LYS because he's not the heir of the Sheng's family. She would target LYS's cousin instead (whose last name is Sheng), the one who's being trained to take over the Sheng's family business as mentioned in the latest ep 20, and future heir.

Yes, this is typical Chinese culture. Notice Yu Sen's last name is Lin, so in traditional chinese culture, he "belongs" to the Lin's family (his father's side). His mother is a Sheng, but once she's married, she "married OUT" of the Sheng family "INTO" the Lin family. Chinese culture has a term to describe a grandchild ==> "Internal" and "external" grandchild. Internal means someone with the same last name as the male side (Grandfather Sheng, in this case). Lin Yu Sen is an external grandchild, so traditionally, he's considered an outsider and doesn't have inheritance rights to the Sheng's wealth/ancestral home/land, etc.

I truly pitied FL's dad's other woman's daughter. To have a mother like hers, instead of teaching her how to live life with dignity and self-worth, she's learning how to scheme and dependent on other people. The daughter herself isn't smart enough to correct her mother's way or right her own moral compass.

She's a smart cookie. If she hasn't realize yet, I think she will pick up soon. She knows he's still very passion about medical as she's seen him read CT scan at the hospital when she was injured. She already tried to make him play video games to utilize his left hand, pretending she needs him to help her pass a level. I'm rooting hard for them. =) They make a good couple.

That's good. He seems to be a very responsible, mature, and empathetic person, and wouldn't knowingly or purposely leaves a person hanging.

She's good with apologizing when it's her fault. I find her character to be good that way.

It's a sign she's beginning to care too much. If LYS is smart, which he is, he will be able to correlate her outburst with her emotional attachment to him. Basically, she's already in love with him without realizing it herself. 😊

I rewatched the part where LYS was typing a text message to her, but got interrupted and then he was starring at his injured arm. Question is: did he actually send it but she never got it because of network issue; or he never click send because he was distracted at the last minute?

Well, well, well....NXG has fallen for LYS by ep. 20. Otherwise, she wouldn't be so upset and worked up over the misunderstanding in lack of communication and worrying over him about the accident.

ZX has no chance unless LYS doesn't explain things to her soon, and allows her to stew.

I would pick ML anytime over SML. SML is a pessimist, self-wallowing weakling. Their negative energy will eventually drain you dry even if you're load of sunshine. ML's dad passed away early and separated from his mom at a young age; other than coming from a wealthy family, he's not that much better off than SML growing up, but his personal character is so much nicer.

SML found out FL is actually single.
