All the reviews are good. Shall I watch this? I’m looking for a good romance after watching so many melo and…
You should watch this. But romance is few and far between. I don’t know but I feel I wanted more. And it gets tossed around like the matador’s muleta. I mean that’s just my opinion. But you should totally watch it.
I also have to say 😢 I couldn’t stop thinking about Junho’s portrayal of Yi San in The Red Sleeve. It is a memorable and benchmark kind of portrayal of a royal in a seaguk. It’s just unforgettable.
Not taking away from Moon Sang Min. He’s just 25, brings a lot of charisma to his role. Unmissable in Under The Queen’s Umbrella. I remember watching that show and thinking, this guy is gonna be main lead in a saeguk again. Korean writers aren’t done yet with him in a historical drama. And here we are. 🙂
At 70% Episode 13: Why are we sleeping on a man who tried to kill a royal. I mean in the Joseon Dynasty, killing royal blood—specifically the King, Queen, Crown Prince, or high-ranking members of the royal family—was considered the most heinous form of high treason, moban. Such acts were seen as a direct challenge to the state and the Confucian order, and the punishment was absolute, violent, and extended to the perpetrator's entire family. If a noble committed such a thing then Sasa was an option. It’s black and white. Why are we talking about it like it’s a negotiation and scholars have to implore the king to invoke justice as per the Confucian code. There was no exception on male family members. The property is confiscated and all male family members would killed or exiled. Why is Lord Im allowed to roam around the halls of the palace like that. It is not a negotiation. Also what’s this talk about “he will be exited first and then beheaded”. Again the severed head was hung on a pole for public viewing. lol I’ve watched too many Joeson Era Saeguks to know at least this much.
On Episode 12: I am literally bored. It drags its feet a lot here and there. Bathing dirty kids, saving overworked courtesans, delirious king and his breakup with his drug peddling minister/scholar. Dead daddy forgotten. A band of mutineers lying in wait. I swear I don’t lack an attention span. I am an avid reader. It’s just how the attention is held is also important. Anyway I do see it pick up at the end of episode 12. So here we go episode 13.
I wanna know for how many more episodes this body swap thing is gonna go. I’m getting restless about it. I just wanna know when it stops so I can brace myself till that point
lol, what do you even mean? there was historial drama with body swap not long ago, but they didnt copy them, they…
Calm down and mind your business if you can’t handle someone else’s opinion. This is a public page and anyone can have an opinion. Especially that which is contrary to yours.
5 episodes in and it’s still incredibly stupid. While Akane is a classic case of a girl who has no brains but has this novel talent, like in fantasy fiction genre, that changes the world. And the man is the one who knows how to shape, harness and unleash it. While the ML is afflicted with his gift that keeps getting him abused by this shadowy figure who conveniently lurks around to torment him. While Akane keeps overflowing with desire that smells of teenage sweat. 😒 it’s not that deep. But it’s trying to be.
Three episodes down and Akane is still stuck up her ass in a rut but we don’t know or understand what’s the underlying reason, if any. It keeps repeating so much that it’s past annoying now. It’s boring. Also Akane is such a dodo of a character. It’s the most unoriginal and bland ingénue character. It’s just unnecessary and annoying. Everyone is looking around for her. Nobody is calling the idiot girl on the damn phone. Who wrote this shit. Damn it’s stupid. It’s mid AF while trying hard to be a masterpiece. The most basic b**** energy show.

Also most of Satoh Takeru dramas I have watched are so mid. There’s nothing “damn, this is too deep”.
