Title Silent Truth
Weird Observation: Makiko looks like Jae Mi from Mr. Plankton. The weird feathered haircut and also the hair color. 🙃

What are you even talking about
To your "Actors rarely change their look all that much", see I am not expecting "Christian Bale level" transformation for a role by K-drama actors. Korean actors just can't shake the 'look-good' demand even when they are playing a drug addict/disabled/poor character. Looking good is an intrinsic requirement in Korean society. And God forbid if an actor undergoes genuine transformation for a role, the Korean viewers don't warm up to it that much. Instead we have seen that such roles get acclaim by European and North American viewers (works of Lee Byung-hun, Song Kang-Ho, Choi Min Sik are a clear example. Backlash in Korea, critical acclaim in EuroAmericas)

However, we have examples of physical or look transformation, even if slight from actors. There are quite a few but I will give one: Woo Do Hwan. Since his debut 14 years ago, he has always changed his look. Even if it’s a miniscule change, he looks different. That slight change makes the character memorable and/or distinguishable. And he is a relatively young actor. Also Yim Si Wan, who is an Idol to Actor graduate. I just can't take the likes of Lee Min Ho, Cha Eun Woo, Byeon Woo Seok, Kim Seon Ho, Lee Jong Suk seriously. It's safe and boring for a while. But then it becomes detrimental to their job as actors. If you wanna be a serious actor, you gotta let go of the image. Save it for the red carpet. You can disagree with my opinion- that’s your right as a free human with independent thought and subjectivity. 🤷🏻‍♀️ You can’t however force someone to change their opinion according to your preference.

she's either the murderer or has done something else criminal. She's evasive and playing on the ML's emotions.
they all have their secrets. But out of the 4 friends, she's coming across as the most shady and also conniving. She's playing more than the rest.

Post watch - last episode (12): A nice, light and easy whodunnit. Not too intense or complicated. Some episodes in the middle were a drag. Pointing to the episodes that focused on romance development. I mean, sure, people need that from a k-drama but I would have preferred more background on the killer and the dynamic they had with La-ik. "Crazy" is not a narrative. It's lazy. But anyway. I still enjoyed this show.

Anyone who is complaining here that the murder mystery/thriller was too easy. Well, watch Silent Truth (currently ongoing Jdrama on Netflix) if you want that hit. K-dramas can do murder mysteries very well. But this was not the drama that leaned too heavily there. From the start, it felt like the writer wanted to address the plight of Idols more than the murder mystery. Which is fine. It's a real thing in K-Pop.

It's a 7.5. I have shaved half a point from the show cos the closing episode was lackluster for me. The two crazy fans have now flipped and become crusaders for Laik's privacy. And the mother, well there isn't any resolution there. I don't think the rewatch value is there in this show.

Lastly, if any of the girlies out here placed an order for the Roger Vivier Trompette pumps, I don't blame you, lol😂😂😅. I mean, every corporate girly is always on the lookout for heels that work 🤷🏻‍♀️

Okay. Finished with 11. Post Watch: I like the Prosecutor for Sena. 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s the first time a total non-main lead character has seemed more worthy of being a main lead. Just saying

It’s so stupid. Sitting and listening to cold hard evidence like it’s a pop song, and not calling the police. 💀 What in the nonsense 😂

Is it weird to want the Prosecutor to end up with Se Na. 🤭 I mean to me they make a much more believable couple. I don’t find Laik fit for her. Plus the whole attorney client thing 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s not a big deal but just saying. I’m unimpressed with Laik’s character- the way it’s written

Okay starting Episode 11. And I’ll start by saying Choi Soo Young is looking lovely - even in the most formal grey attires.

Also the styling of the Prosecutor makes him look like Baek Saeon 🤭which is totally great

Every episode feels like a reminder that the writers have a huge crush on Kim Seon Ho and that they find him very good looking and his dimples cute 😒 y’all - this is so 1990s. Lucky charms and keepsakes that connect two people.

Also is this even believable that a Korean actress gets asked so many personal questions about her romantics life back to back to back ? Like unreal. The agency PR people shut that shit down in seconds

I think the subtitles / translation is very choppy. Something tells me I know better Korean than the paid subtitle workers. Viki volunteer translators and proofreaders would have done a better job.
