Kim Ji Won is amazing. Her performance kept me captivated every moment she was onscreen. I could hardly read the subtitles! I had to keep pausing and backtracking so I could watch it again to keep my eyes on her and her expressions. Then I switched it around and just watched her at first before rewinding to read the subtitles.

He is most definitely guilty of lying to the world about his secret relationship with a woman 12 years younger than himself.

That is in itself not (necessarily) a crime. But we already know his brand partners feel differently about it.

Prada dropped him, as have several other brands, The executives at Disney+ Korea are currently wringing their hands and strategizing how to salvage their latest drama (Knock Off and it's already in-production sequel, Knock Off Season 2). And there are many, many others.

Do not underestimate the gravity of his situation. This isn't just a matter of people's individual opinions, the typical netizen's outrage (prone to subside when the next thing comes along), or conflicting mores regarding age of consent in various cultures around the world (where his brands are sold and dramas are streamed.)

This truly is a seminal moment for not only KSH and his studio but the entertainment industry of SK and globally!

I read that they met when she was only 6 and he was 18. There's a photo of them and she looks about that age.

The first several times I saw it I refused to believe the child was KSR and assumed it was someone else. Apparently, it is not.

I have read that prior to 2020 the age of consent in SK was 13—which explains why he was never at any point subject to legal consequences for their relationship. (Unless they actually started dating while she was younger than 13. I think they met when she was 6 and he was 18.) 😳

I don't dispute he is trapped by his own conceit, but I also recognize he is surrounded by people and powerful forces, all of whom & which are putting pressures on him and will be affected by the outcome. Frankly, he is in hell right now, but he has no one to blame but himself.

There already are undisputed damning facts which have already been demonstrably proven to be true.

Last week, KSH maintained they never dated. Now he admits they did. 🎤

I know how you feel, but I sincerely believe the family is doing everything exactly right.

On the one hand, they retain the high ground by giving KSH every opportunity to capitulate to their demands—admit the relationship honestly & apologize, while on the other hand maintaining a steady drip-drip-drip of ever-increasing revelations which undermine KSH's position and expose his lies. They are giving him an opportunity to save face and salvage as much of his dignity as he can.

But KSH/GoldMedalist are in an impossible position. As soon as they honestly admit the relationship began while KSR was underage, all hell will break loose. From their perspective, this is a lose-lose proposition and they are stalling for time while hiring every fixer and expert consultant hoping to find another way out of this mess.

I predict they won't find it.

It's because—so far—no media have put all the pieces together and reported on the preponderance of damning evidence which is already out in the public domain. The entire SK (and world) entertainment media revolve around serving the interests of the networks, studios and especially the major brands (who are their bread-and-butter advertisers).

But IMO it's just a short matter of time before the dam breaks and all of this gets out. By then the evidence pile will be even greater.

Netizen sleuths have already deduced the same, by comparing hair styles, his eyewear, other fashion items (t-shirt, winter coat), etc. But this has not yet been elevated to the level of 'evidence'.

The family stated (today) that they will hire forensic experts to validate the other photos already released, which should prove they did in fact date before she reached the age of consent.

FWIW, there have been several psychological experiments on Instagram and Tinder where a photo of a hot guy was accompanied by a damning profile (out of prison for rape, etc) and tons of women engaged positively. Many women were undeterred by the background as long as the photo was of a hot guy. Other photos of normal guys were entirely unsuccessful.

The researchers attribute this to biological impulses for finding a good DNA match for reproduction. They also concluded that the more self-aware and/or spiritual the woman, the less likely she was to abandon reason and go with her impulses.

GM's statement #8 reveals that the two certified letters sent to KSR in March 2024 were "paper tigers" — IOW, bluffs to scare her into deleting that photo, prevent her from uploading anything else, and otherwise keeping the secret relationship secret!

They legally could not bill her for the debt as it was already forgiven. They also had no standing or means of charging her for 'reparations for damage to promotions related to Queen of Tears' as they had claimed in letter #1). GoldMedalist admits all of this, but their lame excuse is they sent the letters as a formality for 'tax reasons' and not as a threat or manipulation.

She was in the clear, but they not only assaulted her emotional state, but then subsequently ghosted her (to keep her from finding out the truth when she kept calling asking for clarification). And—when she finally managed to get through to KSH directly by using her cousin's phone, her ex-lover gave the number to media reporters so they would harrass her about the debt.

These actions were premeditated, they were fraudulent, and they were vicious. And I personally have no doubts that this contributed to the emotional toil and paranoia which eventually led her to take her own life on her beloved/tormenter's birthday.
