Many people harassed Kim Sae Ron after her DUI accident and again after she posted (then deleted) a photo of her with KSH during the airing of Queen of Tears. One of those people was notorious reporter Lee Jin Ho. He really hounded her and he profited from it. He claimed (falsely) that KSH & KSR never dated. He also claimed (falsely) that she lied about working part-time jobs (she did). He was a major factor in her loss of credibility.

A few days ago he finally apologized. But today he released another attack in the form of surveillance audio of her and her supposed husband earlier this year. This audio has been identified by C-netizens to have been heavily edited (many cuts & elisions) and was likely given to him by KSH's studio, GoldMedalist. It is further suspected that KSH/GM hired someone to spy on her after their breakup which is how they acquired that audio.

I think less. He earned ₩ 3.2B KRW just from QOT. He owns GoldMedalist (taking a slice of all his clients earnings), has earned plenty from advertisements & other roles, and must have a huge investment portfolio. The penalty will hurt but it's not gonna break him. Now add penalties for Knock Off 1 & 2 (should D+ pull the plug) and we're starting to get somewhere.

Read the families statements. They have been concise and focused and consistent from the start. They even asked GM to stop trying to bribe them off. Compare that to GoldMedalist's statements. They have been verbose, confusing and changing course to react to every new development. This reeks of panic and desperation. Now they are on the offensive, trying to change the story from being about him to slandering her.

Dramas about news reporters should include a Fantasy tag because they perpetrate the illusion that journalists are independent idealists seeking to root out corruption and expose evildoers. When the reality is, the same private equity firms and oligarchs. who own the studios, networks, luxury brands & other advertisers—they also own the news and entertainment media companies. KSH doesn't just represent the elite of SK acting & brand representation, but he also owns a top studio (GoldMedalist). He is one of them, and the system is designed to protect their own.

Any journalist who is willing to report unaltered truth wouldn't get hired by any of these firms. And if one of them has a change of heart, they will quickly be fired (or worse!)

Only a snowball effect of a story like KSH's scandal garnering widespread global interest has a chance to crack this behemoth. And the chance is slime to none. (Yet I hold out hope!)

I expect they will time it to drop immediately after the next presentation by Sae Ron's family. They will use the press conference to change the story to pull the focus away from him and onto her. (Look here! Not there!) And the willing media will comply as he is a huge part of the industry which pays their bills.

The family released that photo first BECAUSE it doesn't reveal his face. They are giving KSH every opportunity to come clean before too much damning evidence is put into the public domain. They chose that dishwashing photo because they expect he recognized it and hoped it would motivate him to capitulate. They also said they have video as well which does show his face. (I forget whether the picture is a video still or a separate photo). Each new release is more damning to gradually increase the pressure. The family doesn't want to slander KSH., They want him to admit the truth of the relationship and apologize.

Rumors are circulating that GoldMedalist's damage control teams are offering huge sums in cash and contracts to anyone in the industry willing to share anecdotes about KSR which put her in a bad light at their upcoming press conference. They are also seeking to purchase any compromising evidence which might be used as leverage against any of these individuals who might resist the first offer. Carrot & stick.
