One severe challenge is his character is estranged from the FL and they have endless hurdles to confront. Knowing what we do now, I can't imagine watching this again.

I wish these episodes were included with the main show. I fear I shall never see these. Sigh.

Wasn't it revealed in episode 1 that Iida Kumiko is a Tenguuji heir? Then the subject was dropped and I kept expecting it to resurface, but it never did. I'm expecting this to be the big reveal in episode 9.

Her story truly is a lamentable. Thank you for putting it in perspective for me. Humans are precious and everyone deserves to be heard, helped, & loved. I will try to remember her and this.

Life anywhere can be challenging to navigate and we do better when we have others we can trust and rely upon. It seems she only realized too late that those whom she needed were unable or unwilling to care. This is so tragic and sad.

Netflix and Disney (Knock Off) have plenty of creepy scandals of their own. After much experience, both studio/networks are quite skilled at navigating this sort of controversy.

I agree that it is creepy for a man aged 31 to date a 19 year-old young woman.

While age of consent is all-important, I've long trusted the "Creep Rule" which limits the age difference to half plus 7 years.
