The lawsuit will indeed provide answers and there is only speculation but no hard evidence to suggest that Lee Jin Ho received the surveillance audio from or has been working under the direction of KSH/GM now or in the past.

Every day this remains in the news cycle, another advertising brand drops their client, more people get exposed to this story, and the more KSH is seen in an unfavorable light. It's definitely working. Heck, the bereaved family may even already chosen to suffer lawsuits to keep this going for their daughter's sake.

I actually think the slow drip approach was the perfect strategy. The SK media is—or was—firmly in KSH's camp. The family only went to Garo Sero after being rejected by 100 mainstream reporters.

Had they released everything at once, the would not have received anywhere near the attention they now have, and GoldMedalist's response would be all that anyone would see.

Blackmail implies they are seeking monetary compensation, They already rejected GoldMedalist's offer to settle for money (the father even asked GM to stop calling him with offers) and have consistently stated they are only seeking an admission of the truth of the relationship and an apology. That is not blackmail.
