I've been waiting for this shoe to drop. If true, this is entirely damning to KSH/GoldMedalist in particular, and to the corrupt entertainment media in general!

I'm not so sure about that. The tides have definetly turned and the future looks entirely bleak for KSHstans (and KSH) moving forward. They probably already are feeling demoralized, even if their cognitive dissonance makes them redouble their efforts to support their idol. But soon they will lie awake all night blaming all the wrong targets (people like you and the media who are finally reporting truths). Hopefully, some of them will snap out of it and come around.

It shouldn't be a crime to be deluded. It's the gaslighters who are the real criminals and deserve to be punished!

The more you smack back at them, the more likely they are to increase their defensiveness and retrench in their position. A gentler approach is far more likely to elicit converts to your perspective.

More reason to pity them, IMO. Insufficient justification to lower oneself to their level. War is hell.

It's very hard for people to accept their cherished idols are corrupt and evil. Cognitive dissonance is a serious mental condition resulting from trying to resolve conflicting ideas and information. The anxiety alone can put folks in the hospital. I feel pity for these people, not outrage. I reserve my anger for KSH, GoldMedalist, and the corrupt entertainment press.

To explain further (and pardon me for the politics), I've been following the whole USA MAGA thing and right now the people on the left are entirely demoralized. The former US President was revealed to be a fraud with dementia and who-knows-who was secretly in charge actually running the presidency. These dark forces even signed illegitimate pardons (with an "autopen") in his name in an attempt to avoid prosecutions. And all of that is now unraveling.

So I see the disillusionment with KSH in a similar vein.

EDIT: OK, I've changed my tune. While I prefer to take the higher road, I in no way can excuse the behavior of those committing crimes vs children or their defenders. Carry on.

I don't support this. These individuals may yet find a change of heart and see the situation more objectively. Just because GoldMedalist uses their naive fanbase as foot soldiers and/or human shields doesn't mean we need to shift focus (it's what they want).
I prefer to keep eyes on the target and to not get distracted by the nattering nabobs.

I feel sorry for Choi Gyu Ri and the other cast & crew who are suffering due to the scandal resulting from the depraved actions of KSH, his production company and the corrupt entertainment media who enabled him.

In the USA, a "depraved heart murder" is a means to hold a person responsible for a death as a result of gross negligence or what the Model Penal Code calls a “wanton disregard for the value of human life.”

If SK doesn't have a similar statute, maybe it should. A lawsuit brought by the family vs KSH, his studio, and members of the SK entertainment press could bring the term into the public debate.

KSH has a depraved heart.

Even if SK doesn't have a similar statute, the family should press against KSH for having a depraved heart and provide all the details of his callous behavior and that of his studio against KSR.

If KSH's cousin is also one of his half-brothers, then does that mean that his cousin's mother is also his aunt? (I'm asking whether his dad sired sons with two sisters.)

Someone said he is misrepresenting his half-brother as his cousin. Is that really a social stigma in South Korea strong enough to compel people to behave thusly? Isn't it worse if people find out, get confused, and wonder (like me) whether his brother's mother is his own mother's sister?

Are all his half-brothers presented as cousins?

The one who directed Real (2017) had his credit scrubbed from the MDL page. It's not on the main page nor is it listed under 'Cast and Crew'.

I am so saddened by the greed war that's broken out between the studio and the production company. I would rather this series ended naturally (the players getting too old to maintain a 70% win rate) than this sordid brouhaha. Sigh. I really loved A Clean Sweep. I watched it with my grandkids who have just entered little league. Their favorite players are
pitcher Rhee Dae Eun, 2nd Base Jung Keun Woo, and 1st Base Dae Ho

It's even worse than that IMO. The recent article by Lily Alice includes the full statement issued by GoldMedalist, but she neglected to include the mother's full statement—which includes seven points—but the article only includes the first four!
