I thought Kim Soo Hyun was supposed to be the new owner - was looking forward to that. Still, I like Lee Do Hyun…
I think he's still having a time out—reportedly with plenty of bedrest and antidepressants as a result of his ongoing scandal regarding the late Kim Sae Ron. But rumors are swirling that Disney may dust off Knock Off for a 2026 release. (Whether KO S2 resumes production is another question entirely.)
There is an old American comedy 'Defending Your Life' with a scene where a super-high-IQ person is eating a tiny lump of meat which looks like feces but he enjoys it thoroughly as though it was delicious. The normal guy—who is feasting on pancakes, bacon & eggs—wants to try it but is informed that to normal people who only use a tiny portion of their brains it tastes like $#!t and only geniuses can enjoy it. The normal guy tries it and this turns out to be true.
I guess I only have a little brain. This presumably arthouse masterpiece "tastes like crap" to me. I wish the Hong Sisters could write stories for normal people again. I used to enjoy their stuff. Mostly.
Once again the 12 ep romance curse, im calling it. not too say there aren't great 12 episode dramas but this one…
I don't disagree about the 12 ep curse, but I scanned my watchlist and found one exception which I really enjoyed—and it happens to be another gumiho tale.
IMO, Tale of the Nine-Tailed: 1938 did an excellent job maximizing its 12-episode run. Granted, that series benefited from already established characters (from its prequel TotNT, which btw had 16 eps). I enjoyed watching this series, but it does seem quite pale in comparison. I concur with others who have suggested that talented writers might be a greater factor to effecting quality than episode length.
Every time I look at actor Go Kyung Pyo, I can't help but notice his facial resemblance to famed KBL first baseman Lee Dae Ho. I think someone should write a biopic of the celebrated athlete and cast this man as his younger self.

His career is continuing? What'd I miss? I assume he is still chugging fistfuls of antidepressants in his cousin/brother's…
Please do post a link if it contains comprehensive details & dates regarding this controversy. That timeline doesn't seem to me to be riddled with editorial opinions, and I ignore the social media comments often included at the end of their articles. Anyway, it's nice to have a one-stop comprehensive source. After a year, it's easy (for me) to forget details (or mix up the timing of events, etc.)

Disney is either raising flags to see which way the wind blows, or is confidently charging ahead regardless of any potential blowback:
"…according to broadcasting and financial sources, Disney+ is reorganizing its 2026 lineup and reportedly adjusting the release schedule for Knock-Off in the first half of the year. Investor briefings in early March are expected to address remaining production details and streaming plans, signaling that the project is back under active consideration."
This drama surprised me in the best way possible. It’s intelligently written and brilliantly acted by an exceptional…
Yeah, me too! I had problems with several of her past dramas: Memories of the Alhambra (game injuries result in actual physical effects), Sisyphus: The Myth (convoluted storytelling), and I hate-watched Doctor's Lump (chugging fistfuls of antidepressants with copious amounts of booze). But since The Judge from Hell (and here) she has grown on me as well. I respect her craft. She is amazing!
average-ish good drama, not that bad, if only i had binged it instead of watching it while on air, it might have…
If I had binged, I might remember some of the people from that montage about how their lives have changed (eg. the girl Si Yeol met at the airport and her father).
U Seok: I'm a bad boy. I had evil thoughts. I was greedy and selfish!
Eun Ho: Every human finds something dark within themselves. It's all part of learning and growing. It takes a lot of practice to become truly evil. You need to work hard at it.
U Seok: Whew! (relieved)
Eun Ho: Now take this enormous dagger and stab me dead. Murder me now, please.

Now I want to go rewatch TotNT & TotNT:1938!
