I assume it gets better once his motivations grow beyond his own self-interests. Like, if he starts to give a damn about his would-be victims (the apartment residents) and focuses his enmity entirely towards the cabal of corrupt public figures & chaebols.

He isn't the total scumbag we took him for back in episode 1.

Yes. This was actually one of my 2026 rated dramas, but at the same time forgettable (I had to read the synopsis to refresh my memory after a half-year).

Netflix has the utmost control over original content. The Guests writers may be enjoying their paychecks while lamenting the experience. If they got out with their souls intact, they can call it a win.

Someday (hopefully soon), someone will write a series with Oh Eui Shik in mind for the lead. Maybe with Oh Jung Se as his older brother.

Perhaps they should have turned Ju Gang Chan in to the cops (or the SMD) themselves. Also, in their defense—who would have suspected—after having just escaped the SMD—that the construction thugs could be so sophisticated (with the trucks)?

I would love to read about the conversation in the room with Kopiko when the production negotiated the product placement. It wasn't the Popeye-spinach moment I was expecting, but actually better.

All the acting was spot-on. The director was handed a perfect script and his execution was flawless with a light touch. I wish more dramas were as good!

"Happy Birthday. Sorry, there's no cake. It spoiled." (Camera pans to reveal the refrigerator is missing its door after having earlier been used by uncle to "defend himself from a thief").
