This scandal has resulted from much more than "an unconfirmed rumor," and can in no way be compared to "the littlest thing", as you put it.

After an initial blanket denial, his agency made not one but a series of admissions that each of their previous public statements contained lies. This prompted over a dozen major—including international—brands to break contracts & drop the star from their advertising. And a major studio put the upcoming release of their latest K-Drama on hold (and canceled production of Season 2) due to the controversy.

There is compelling prima facie evidence (at face value) that there indeed was a relationship while Kim Sae Ron was a minor, which KSH continues to dispute. They claim the evidence is fabricated, but have provided no substantive arguments.

The star just wasted his best opportunity to address the evidence by merely reiterating his claim that it was fake & false. Somehow. By someone. For some reasons. 🤷🏻

The bereaved family has initiated three legal actions against Lee Jin Ho. They originally sued him defamation, accusing him of spreading false information about the late Kim Sae Ron. However, after Lee Jin Ho continued to reveal unverified private matters about Kim Sae Ron and her family, they filed an additional lawsuit against the YouTuber for violating the 'Act on Punishment of Stalking Crimes'. Additionally they requested—and were granted by the courts—a 90-day provisional order barring LJH from making any further statements about KSR.

I think that's for the courts to decide. The family has been very consistent about what they both do and do not want.

They want:
– KSH to admit the truth of the affair
– KSH to apologize for initially denying, then continuing to lie about it
– Lee Jin Ho to cease and desist further defamations of their daughter

They do not want:
– A payoff
– KSH to suffer harsh criticism
