Yeah, I can understand you. I wish they add 1 more episode to show their dating and wedding at least. That will be very nice for the viewers. Having read the novel, I already know there will be very little romance.

I don't think that's the case. Love is not just being romantic and wanting to be together. It is thinking also of what is best for the person you love. Dragging Ming Sheng into her messy life and ruining his bright future is selfish love. Qing Yu is too mature and selfless to go that path. Letting go and letting be is a great expression of love too.

I miss this kind of film. The entire team is brave enough to touch on a subject which very few would dare. Though it was a bit tempered compared to the novel due probably to censorship, but the plight of women in a patriarchal society is so well depicted. All the actors acted so well. Zhang Jing Yi never disappoints and her choice of work perfectly suits my taste as always but Zhou Yi Ran is a revelation to me in this drama, his depth of acting and interpretation of Ming Sheng is wonderful. Looking forward to more excellent work from him.

Showing more on the life of Beiyu is a welcome change for me... I wish though that they did not change Qing Yu's love for literature though I have not seen that part yet.... just reacting based on what I've read from the comments here.. because that will change some key elements in the story like how in the future Qing Yu will put up her own bookstore that will also serve us a go to place for young people who are in need of counseling. A place where they can feel safe.

Ohhhhh no!!! I took a break so I'm a bit disappointed reading this, because I'm really looking forward to the part where her jealous feeling on Wang Mumu and Ming Sheng's relationship was expressed in her writing and only Ming Sheng can understand it waaaaahhhhh. I know they changed so many things but so far everything works for me especially the life of Beiyu but changing Qing Yu's love for literature to dancing is something I wish they didn't.... now I wonder how they're gonna change the ending ( the 2nd side story where she put up a bookstore that also serves as a place for counseling). I want Qing Yu to live her own life, pursue her own dream and not the dream of her sister
