Thanks for the alert. I modified the text to make several issues clear. The problem, Selma, is that English is…
English not your native tongue?!?!? I would not have thought that: your reviews are very long, eloquently written and well argumented. In this case, I thought the character might be trans and thus the wandering pronouns were used...I haven't seen the film yet!
I have no idea how this landed on my PTW list since I could not care less about teen love life and thier constant presence on line. Nevertheless, this was a cute single watch. Episode 10 is nowhere to be found. I never noticed anything was missing plotwise....🤣
Interesting idea for a story (falling in love in spite of a language barrier) but LJG's acting here is atrociously bad: he cannot play a teen to save his life! So much overacting from a talented actor! The film was saved by the subtle acting of Miyazaki Aoi, she is so beautiful. What a waste !
Totally agree with you, and this trend goes on in K, Thai, Taiwan dramas and novels! Seriously, what’s wrong…
That was a huge shock for me when I started watching dramas and noticed that trope(debt, loan sharks etc.)...I could never understand that level of irresponsibility. The same goes for excessive drinking and finding drunk people cute...But that is a different drama! 😉

I think it is cultural too. Respecting and obeying without questionning anyone older than yourself does not exist to this level in the West. Luckily !🙂
I wanted to continue watching this because the first episode is gripping but then I saw the preview for the next episode! Never in a million years am I continuing watching this! I should not have started: horror tag is there for a good reason!
Still only 12 episodes subbed on youtube! They are clever those subbers from Chinese Fantasy: they let you watch half the series for free and if you want to know the ending, it is behind a paywall! Smart thinking!Though not many views (5-6 per episode !)
I wanted to watch this for Yoon Hyun Min but could not go past the first 20min and the typical, predictable, sleezy, rich & corrupted villain. And Yoon Hyun Min wasn't even in those 20 min!🤣Dropped!
Mini rant...Could we have a korean drama where the parents are behaving like responsable adults and not like losers abusing or sponging off of their barely adult kids who are struggling to make end meet by doing a million part time jobs? I guess nice parents are not really dramatic enough: we need to have our leads overcome insurmounrable obstacles otherwise it is boring! 😅It seems to me that bad parenting/absent, neglectful or abusive parents are more of a norm than an exception. I have the impression all k dramas carry this trope. I am certainly wrong, I know but I fail to remember one drama with nice kind present and responsable parents!🤔End of rant. Thank you!😉 BTW This drama is different from the usual k bls. I am liking it a lot!
You are stronger than me: I dropped this after half an hour: could not stand the nonsense plot!
BTW It really makes me sad that we need to put disclaimers and warnings in our reviews if we do not like a much loved drama with a big fan following. People are really this dense and unreasonable these days....I got blocked by some users here because I dared criticize their favourite actor's haircut (not his acting: the haircut!)🤣🤣 I love reading reviews like yours because very often they give me insight into details I might not have noticed otherwise: especially for the dramas I loved and they did not!
This is a lot of fun, not to be taken seriously at all! But the end of episode 8, preview for ep. 9 made me so stressed because they are all dead. And even though I know that no one is going to die: this is a comedy show after all, I am having trouble watching ep 9.... Weird, right?

I am having trouble recognizing Daisy Lee: she does not look like her pfp anymore?!?!?! Weird make up, I wonder?
Shogun reminds me of Joong Archen: they look alike and their acting is the same, expressionless stony face. Will be dropping it soon.....
