Short sometimes seems long

Usually I feel like web adapted dramas have always different approaches and themes.
Didn't like this...
STORY - a girl, Han Na that can hear the thoughts of the men she loves encounters a man, Je Won, that cannot hear the music when performs in front of others.
Suddenly, she can hear him just one day and he can play when he is with her. He is a famous anonymous singer that never did interviews. He wants to give Han Na the interview only If she falls in love with him?!?!?!?!
She agrees because she wants to be a successful employee and that's it.
WTF?!?!
She cannot hear him and he can play, we think, in front of an audience...

ACTING - seemed very forced the acting, the chemistry. Didn't like.

MUSIC - not memorable for me

REWATCH VALUE - even if it's short I would never rewatch this, specially because I know how it ends (does it end??????)

OVERALL - didn't like it at all. There are so many better dramas to see ..

Well written and believable

I really like it!
In this days I prefer watching romantic dramas with happy endings.
This isn't one of them... The lobotomy that ML did make romance impossible and that is ok, we know that. But even with that brain, we feel something in the air...

PLOT - well balanced and very well well written.

ACTING - amazing job of almost everyone!

MUSIC - didn't pay much attention because of the environment where I saw the drama. Can't really have a strong opinion.

REWATCH - knowing the plot is important for not thinking rewatch this drama. But the reason is more because there are so many dramas to see!

OVERALL - If you like a little mystery, great plot and production and a drama that maintains the quality this is a good watch.

An interesting plot messed up

Well, the premise was very funny and interesting, even if they exagerate the lack of sensuality of
the 3 North Koreans. But nothing happens...

STORY - 3 North Korean factory workers enter south Korea by mistake and have to represent their country in Miss Korea pageant. Could be awesome, have some funny moments but... Boring, very boring

ACTING - it was ok, Sandara Park did well her job. The best could be Kim Jung Seok as Kang Dan Jang.

OST - don't remember so, for me, didn't seemed important.

REWATCH - guess not. One time is enough.

OVERALL - could be a decent and entertaining drama, even longer. But I think it didn't do the job. But it can be a short well spend time...

Sisyphus wrote the last episode

I just finish watching this drama.
After the last episode, I am frustrated to loose so many hours watching this. I know the process is important, but in dramas and movies it's all about the ending for me.

STORY
The story is about 35 year Jin Ah and her best friend's younger brother Joon Hee. And that's it. They fell in love. The relationship is slow and beautiful, painted at the sound of one or two jazz songs that soothes perfectly. We can see the love, Jin Ah learning what being loved is and the sweetness and caring of Joon Hee. But it's way too long! Every scene is long as if we couldn't understand already their feelings.
And they struggle to be happy and stay together.

CHARACTERS

Yoon Jin Ah (Son Ye Jin) - (my first kdrama was Crash Landing on You. So i have a special feeling for her and i think she is a great actress. And here she is also good).
She always had bad relationships and bad boyfriends. She was abused in work buy her male superiors and her female colleagues who took advantage of her to not be disturbed in their work place. She was cheated by her boyfriend and then the story begins. She still lives in her parents house and have a best friend, Seo Kyung Sun.
She grows as a person due to the love and care of Joon Hee. And then, in the last episodes she chooses to be selfish and stays in Korea in her job, saying that she is stronger now ("the old Jin Ah would immediately go"). But then, she ends up obeying her parents wishes, having a rich boyfriend who doesn't care for her; he only cares for his work and she doesn't love him.
She refused to leave Korea with Joon Hee, but then she quits her job and goes to live in Jeju Island, go figure...

Seo Joon Hee (Jung Hae In) - a strong and loving man, that returns from the US. He is gorgeous and very well loved and desired by most of the women. But he only loves Jin Ah. Their love is beautiful, but also filled with lies, between them. Supposedly, they lie and hide to protect the other, but they ruined their relation. And then, without seriously talking to her, he decide that he will go to US again... I don't think the character would do that, because he is very pragmatic and think things through.

JIN AH PARENTS - I am European, so i don't understand some of Korea society. For me, Jin Ah's parents are so but so bad that i don't want to waste my time. The notion of family reputation and status is like a disgusting feeling for me, but since it is brought up in so many dramas it must be true.
They are very bad.

The other characters are not very important for me. Even Kyung Sun doesn't behave well. The only interesting character for me is Geum Bo Ra, Jin Ah's colleague and friend.
Don't understand why Seo's father appears.

OST - some great songs, well played with the scenes. But the moments are very long and repetitive.

REWATCH - never, because i know the end, the way they ruined a beautiful and very rare romance. Could be awesome if shorter and a different last episode.

ENDING - It was a 9, even with some repetitiveness music and long scenes. I am not a fan of slow movies, but in this case it is well done in the first episodes. But then, we arrive at the last episode. It was very bad for me. And, if they are going to present us a happy ending, then... did i watch the same show? So, for most of the episodes we have the struggle of the couple, the opposition of her parents and the couple's siblings and they don't disclosure that? What the f...? Even her mother, who only cared for reputation and gives a shit about her daughter happiness is hughed by her?

OVERALL - could be amazing! If they made a movie it will be enough. Don't like the ending, don't like time gaps when they part ways for years...

So frustated, but i am to blame because i thought the end would not be that one.

After this I fell in love again with my neurons

What can I say, am I a masochist? I think I am to endure all the long 20 episodes

STORY
This started interesting to pass the time but went really bad when all Li family went psycho. Maybe their home was bates hotel...
Huan Huan was the first, a spoiled girl with an obsession for Lu Tian Xing. Then, her mother and brother who wanted her to marry a guy that didn't love her and will never do. Then Lance went crazy and...

ACTING - I think an ameba could have more chemistry than ML and FL.

MUSIC - for me it was bad, didn't like any song at all

REWATCH VALUE - only with a gun pointed at me, but first I would check if there were any bullets...

ENDING - too long and stupid for me

OVERALL - very bad drama. All the aspects of a drama were badly done...
If you like to kill lots of neurons this is a good show!

Teenage love is hard

Didn't watch the manga and I think I would like it. But I liked this movie.
The pace is good and needed.
The story is about a high school student, Sawako, that as almost zero self-esteem and don't know how to handle it. She met Kazehaya in a crossing and he fells in love for her. He's very popular and he will love her and care for her in secret.
Then, two friends of Kazehaya, Chizuru and Ayane, 2 strong and misfits girls started a friendship relation with Sawako.

The movie tells us the evolution of the four friends, the growing of Sawako's personality and self love, and the realization of true love

It is sweet and warm.
For me, even if it deals with teenage love and high school students, I find almost unreal some behaviour, specially Sawako. But I find sometimes difficult to understand how love relations are portrait in Japanese movies.

I find Japanese women beautiful and strong, but often portrait as submissive and that is very strange for me... Even in a male driven society...

Love is a question of time or timing...

Could be awesome with the wonderful and thrilling idea of the story.

STORY
Life time is imprinted in everyone's skin but only few can see it. One of the few is Choi Mika, a joyful girl that has less than 100 days to live. But...
She encounters Lee Do Ha that can stop her clock and, as she discovers later, even increase her life time.

And the drama is about that. The stage is a cultural enterprise that will produce a Musical show. It deals with practice, actors, castings, etc but I think this is not important to the show. And, at least for me, is a little boring.
They struggle because of the fact that her time increases draining his time. So Choi Mika prefers not to be with him, but he loves her very much...

ACTING - it is good. Everyone does the job, but I like specially Bae Soo Bong (Im Se Mi), even if I find her character weak, even if she resembles being very strong.

OST - it's fine, I don't appreciate very much musical songs.

REWATCH - no, because there are so many shows better for me and I know the outcome of this.

OVERALL
Don't know how I can put my thoughts in order.

Is there a love triangle? Don't think so because Lee Do Ha never thought about Bae Soo Bong.
Don't understand Bae Soo ending like that! I such powerful woman and...she deserves a better ending for her. I think there are not any interesting things happening except the time struggle. Well, the second couple romance is kind of cute.

What is the reason for that ending. I think it is poor, long without addressing some issues and...
It could be so much better...

Is love all about memories?

STORY
The premise revolves around a man who can never forget and a woman who can’t remember her past and doesn’t hold her memories. The drama continues to pose this philosophical questions, what is worst: being unable to forget beautiful experiences and memories but also past relationships and love and bad moments or being someone that can’t hold the memory of friendship and happy moments?
I have my opinion, but everyone should think it throughout there own experience or beliefs.

The backstory starts with Lee Jung Hoon (Kim Dong Wook) losing his beloved girlfriend, Seo Yeon (who is a beautiful joyfull person, full of life), to a psycho. And all the bad and good moments lived between them will stay with him forever. Can he fall in love again? Does memory plays a part in love?
Don’t really know why there are so many stalkers and kidnapers in kdramas (maybe is common in Korea, like amnesia and love triangles and squares). I think the show could had another way of developing the story, the main story that is always disturbed by villains that poped up like mushrooms…
I think this drama is also about today’s way of life: fans that can destroy lifes with comments; the unnability to deal with memories that are supposed to fade as time goes by but can’t disapear because of social media, and all the things we publish and upload to the web. And, as Cure’s Robert Smith say: “And the Spiderman is always hungry”. Public figures thrives with public recognition and opinions, but falling from the top to the bottom is only a question of hours. But it’s a price that almost everyone has to pay as they ascended in that way too. Rarely, very few ascends by merit but most do it by popularity. And people think it’s normal, by putting an avatar or being anonymous they can talk what they want without, most of the time, knowing the situation, like here in MDL.

Anchor Lee is mature, a competent and trustworthy man broadcasting the news. He feels uncomfortable and strange when Ha Jin (Moon Ga Young) apears and shares quotes and thoughts that resemble Seo Yeon. She also feels a connection and both can’t understand why…

The plot is about memories, the feelings, the past that is always present for Anchor Lee and non existent to Ha Jin. Suspense, crime, impossible love and cute romantic scenes all in the same drama. The drama is all about love, but the feeling floats in the air and not in the plot. It also deals with pressure from the press, media and fans; family love and support, specially Yeo Ha Kyung (Kim Seul Gi) protecting her older sister; work ethics and the truth about business (people, not companies, have morals,). The stalkers, the crimes are not my taste and don’t understand the need in this drama.

Another thing that kept me thinking was the way the psychiatrists dealt with the patients, medling and leading and lying insted of helping. It’s not my field of expertise, but i don’t think it’s the right treatment the way they talked to the patients and gave informations an, for sure, there were some major violations of work ethics.

I don’t follow the actors careers or have special feelings for any one. I think the main leads were great, loved the chemistry between them, and even her sister and Jo Il Kwon (
Lee Jin Hyuk).
Specially the way the romance between Anchor-nim and Ha Jin, the way they express their feelings and the memory issues. They talked about the problems, there were almost none misunderstandings, and the decisions were made with the knowledge of the other’s thoughts. Maybe Ha Jin didn’t believe in Anchor Lee’s feelings about her…

The 2 year gap is, for me, always a mistery. Maybe i can’t understand how to love in distance, not only geographically but emotional and without any communication!

The ending could be better and more focus on their love and the memories, old and new. I think they would, eventually, talked about Seo Yeon, because she was their connection, even in the past. They knew the other through her, the bond that glue their hearts…

CHARACTERS
Yeo Ha Jin is awesome. She is awkward and funny and straight talker because she can’t remember! And the memory plays a huge part of her personality. But she can deal with the hardships of her profession and the scandals. She is strong and beautiful.

Her relationship with her younger sister Yeo Ha Kyung is wonderful. She seems the young one! But the chemistry is great!

Lee Jeong Heon is the anchorman, with a sense of righteousness. He is as strong willed and dogmatic. He has hyperthymesia, that forces him to remember every moment in his life. He is very gentle and patient with Ha Jin. He is warm and kind, not the most romantic type, but more of a protective type.

Anchor-nim and Ha Jin are puzzled with each other. Ha Jin reminded him his first love and he was drawn to her when he found out who she really was and what she had to do to survive Seo Yeon’s death.

Yeo Ha Kyung is Ha Jin’s devoted baby sister. She chooses to support and sacrífice her independece for her sister and their relationship is beautiful. The romance with Reporter Jo was very fluffy. She also helps Jeon Heon to be by her sister’s side.

Jo Il-Kwon is the Anchor-nim’s junior. He is loyal, supportive and helps everyway he can. His romance with Ha Kyung is both cute and funny.

Yoo Tae Eun is Jeong Heon best friend and also Ha Jin’s former doctor. Don’t think that he does the best work as a friend or a doctor to both lovers, but he redeemed in the end.

Choi Hee Sang is Anchor-nims direct boss. She is amazing! She was very supportive to Anchor-nim, knowing his condition but always firm and competent. She is married to Cheol Woong, the director for news live which makes him Anchor-nim’s direct supervisor.

Yoo Sung Hyuk is an awful psychologist and that’s it. He is a bad person, but also incompetente.

Ji Hyun Geun is the director for Ha Jin’s film First Love and i really don’t know the purpose of him being in the drama.

Moon Seong Ho is the stalker. Don’t understand his behaviour because he murdered his muse and that’s it.

ACTING
I think it was great!

OST – interesting and well placed in the scenes.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Usually i review my dramas on what i felt trough the shows and not technical, beauty of the actores or the production aspects.
I am not an active fan of the actresses or actors, well, i like some but that doesn’t move me from an impartial view.
I loved the idea of memories playing a huge part of live, and i think everyone should watch it. I wish it was a little shorter and without the villans, but it was ok. It desserved a better ending…

The idea is amazing but...

I enjoyed this drama.
I read some reviews and comments and... I think I have a different view over some topics.

PLOT - athe story begins amazingly!
Between a betrayal in a 2 friends.
Are they strong women? I think Na Na is and always was, even 5 years ago. She felt betrayed by Roo Mi and that's what hurted her.
Roo Mi slept with Na Na's BF and that's it. She betrayed her friend and really choose to loose her.
She was seduced? Does anyone gets seduced if they don't want?
I think Roo Mi wasn't strong and it's starting to get powerful in the last episodes.

Danny was very cute and a true friend and bf. Usually I think women talk about the shiny Prince but desire the villain. Here it's the opposite. Sweet relationship between Na Na and Danny... Maybe she realised he was always by her side...
Na Na is amazing, she deserves her friends and Danny.
Didn't like Roo MI's ex. Very uninteresting. How could she love him?!?!
I never heard of 2 women in that situation come closer and be friends again. That was really surprising. But, since everyone thinks it's normal maybe it is.

ACTING - Really like it. Nothing amazing but everyone did the job.

OST - don't know what to say. I think it was well used in the drama butz personally, I didn't like the songs.

REWATCH - maybe some scenes but don't think so.

OVERALL - I like it. It could be better developed bit was ok. I like the relationships between human beings and the reasons and behaviours... Don't care if it's a straight, a lesbian, homossexual or other kind of relationship.

Far from reality but cute

I liked it.
The story has a good premise, as someone could changed is behaviour and personality due to a transplant of a muscle.

It gave me chills just to imagine the business war in Korea! Lots of corruption, backstabbing, etc ...

The romance between Soon Jun and Min Ho is interesting. Don't understand how couldn't she find out that his actions seemed like someone else ..

The plot I didn't like it. The sabotage, the international enterprise, etc.

PLOT - interesting but that is it.

ACTING - good acting from almost everyone. Didn't know the actors but I like the performance...

OST - I really cannot remember any music

REWATCH - maybe some scenes with Min Ho and Soon Jun.

OVERALL - if you like a romantic story that is mixed in a so and so plot this is good

Good way of spending time when nothing better is avaiable

The story is plain and simple.
I am not interested in k-pop or the lives of the actors. I like k-dramas but that is it. Of course some male and female actors i prefer, but i am not interested in their lives...
So, for me, the backstage of professional singers, managers, etc it's interesting as a curiosity view of a major industry.

Choi Se Hoon is a sucessfull businessman that goes berserk when he falls in love without understanding those feelings. He take ages confessing to her...
Yoo Yi Ryeong is a girl that lived isolated from the world and enters in the k pop business as she lived there...

And that's it.
Nice ending, soft plot...

ACTING - didn't find awesome but it was ok.

MUSIC - i don't remember so, for me, not memorable.

PLOT - boring, simple, it is reduced to an egocentric and famous guy that falls in love for the first time.

REWATCH - well, i watch this last year and couldn't remember so i didi it again!

OVERALL - if you are a k-pop fan maybe it is good for you

Sweet but light romance

Well, I sort of enjoyed watching it. I think it is way too long.
Some parts could be more deepended and some were unnecessary for me. 10 episodes should be more than enough.
Although the secondary cast was good, the story revolves mostly in the main couple.
I think FL was a strong woman but she looses some of her strength because of the responsibilities of marriage a first born.
He seems more immature then 18 old Fl, but I think that man, in general, are more childish.
The relationship between the couple and grandfather were great.

There were lots of funny and fluffy scenes.

REWATCH - there are few shows that I want and have rewatched, but this will not be one of them.

Overall - I enjoyed it. For me it it was too long and sometimes hard do follow...
The End - As always, after dragging for so long it ends abruptly, with a nice touch but could be longer.

Love is mind and heart

Loved it
The story is interesting and the pace is necessary.
Of course we can't try to understand the parallel universe or the future and past entwined...
I wish the end could be a little different, in the way he doesn't go to meet her.

It reminds me Krzysztof Kieślowski la double vie de Veronique. In the pace and love and the gap between time and places...
Never saw the American remake and don't feel any curiosity. It is for certain worse, as most of the American remakes... This is not fast food. This is something cooked for long and long time ...
If you like a love story and if you UNDERSTAND LOVE you should watch it.
The heart beats faster with the excitement and passion but it calms down and relax when a person is in love. Because love is slow...

Simple love story

I like it. Its soft, without complicated plot and just funny. Some crazy moments, some flashbacks that compose the love of the couple.

PLOT - simple but not brilliant. I like the story of the two and the way that a cop can choose, wisely in my point of view, love over work...

ACTING - wonderful performance by the cast, specially the ML and FL.

SOUNDTRACK - it was ok but not memorable

REWATCH - it is nice but to rewatch it... I prefer a thousand times seeing MY P.S. PARTNER!!!!!

Overall I like it. The ending could be better but it end as I wanted, with happiness and laughter. It's light and a good way of spending almost 2 hours.

Food and eating must come with some story

Didn't like it. There isn't a story. I love getting to know more about Korean gastronomy (seems amazing) and some explanations. But the problem for me is that we have a little introduction and then imagines of eating and that's it!
There isn't a background to the food. We could see the same drama without the presence of food and it would be the same.

Why do they needed a mystery story? Is there so many assassins in Seoul?

The only interesting part was the relations of the neighborhood. The ML is wonderful and friendly. The FL is very annoying.
Jin-Yi is very sweet and funny. A little naive but also independent. Like it and can't understand why ML could ever fall in love for FL.

Only the poem in the last scene is worth watching!

If you like a good story don't watch this...
