Basically, they both get reincarnated in modern times without any memories of their past lives. You could say that the soul is the same that gets born again. Only one soul keeps popping up in both timelines. The logic hasn't been properly explained yet as of ep 09. I am yet to watch the rest.
ZLS has chemistry with most. I am yet to watch Dating in the Kitchen. I wasn't sure I'd like it since I adored the movie version and love the main leads there.
DT is Daddi Tang. I keep wondering what possessed him or his family to name him such while thinking of English names. Or maybe there's some hidden significance while I can only think of what it entails in pop culture. 🤫🤭 Speaking of names, the Thai have such OTT nicknames. I once heard a Thai person explaining why many of them the nickname, 'Bank'. Many parents give their kinds this nickname in the hopes they grow up to be wealthy, LOL.
Crush was kinda meh. Tbh, I sat through it for WP. I became a fan after I saw her in A Year Without a Job. That drama made me a diehard admirer of the 3 main leads as well as the supporting cast. Jackie Li, Zhai Zi Lu and Wang Peng were amazing.

While I do believe he was attracted to her and cared for her well being in the way a mentor would; yet, in my opinion, SHM isn't in love with XY yet, though, his growing and quite intense feelings have made him realise that he'd fall helplessly in love with her sooner or later. It's just a matter of time. Also, XY has picked up on it, but the hurt is too recent and too raw for her to stop wanting a divorce. However, she is still in love with him. Because I am pretty sure no amount of money could have convinced her to go to the resort with him. Even though she is angry, hurt and disappointed, yet she still has his best interests in her heart.
OMG! Judith McNaught! That brings back memories. 😅 Many of the ideas contained in those novels made me see red. 🤷🏻♀️ However, ngl, her novels were my guilty pleasure. I totally get it. 😁

I have watched until episode 9 of FAT.
Huge spoilers! I would say that the very first timeline is based in historical times. Then the protagonists are born in the modern era. However, inspite of them meeting again, a tragedy separates them. Then one fine day, the ML comes across the FL again. From then on, due to separate tragic incidents, he keeps popping up at different times of the same timeline. They meet over and over again and keep getting separated.
About to watch episode 24 as I write. 🤣 Never would I have imagined ZLS and WC to have so much chemistry. Also, I want WP and DT in a drama of their own.

You hit the nail on the head! I have watched till episode 9. Somehow, for me, Fated Hearts isn't coming together. Hey, I forgot to mention, I am also watching For All Time starring Hei Ze (the shady lawyer here). I have watched him in CMinis before and he is a good performer. The drama is no masterpiece, yet, I enjoy watching it. It involves a man in love with a childhood acquaintance who is supposedly dead. I watched him previously in an '80s era CMini drama that got released in 2024 with Chen Fan Tong as the FL. It was hilarious. When I saw him pop here, I was like, are my eyes deceiving me, LOL.

EXACTLY! Love the term, "love diggers". 😅 Your analysis about his ex's behaviour makes a lot of sense. I had totally forgotten that she was an heiress.

Tbh, I don't know why I am not fascinated enough by it. The only reason I continue watching it because I have not come across any other long form historical drama that has truly grabbed my attention. Fated Hearts has everything going for it. Everything about it is as it should be. The actors are performing well and the story is interesting, yet, I am skipping through the episodes. I think one of the reasons why I am having trouble is because of CZY. He is a decent enough actor but his character that's supposed to send a chill down one's spine doesn't quite achieve that. 🤷🏻♀️ I guess that's because I have seen other actors perform such roles way better. CZY is performing well and exactly how he is supposed to but I am having trouble vibing with his overall performance. 🙈🤷🏻♀️ Also, the script isn't captivating enough for me as of now even though it has everything that I enjoy watching.

Tbh, it's during their separation that they are learning to love each other properly without putting up ridiculous fronts.
