Nooooo it doesn't hold upπ This is same old same old everything is about love, nothing like supernatural. There…
Ooh. You remember that episode! π Thank you so much for your reply. I guess I will check the first few episodes out for the CGI. Heard the CGI is really good. π€£
IMO, you really canβt watch it from the lens of Western supernatural horror. Itβs is very different from the…
Thank you so much for your response. I absolutely understand that the East approaches horror and myth differently from the West. Afterall, differences in culture and thus different tales inform the treatment of horror and myth. I enjoy Eastern horror too. Since you are comparing the series to those made on Japanese horror tales, I think I might enjoy this one.
I have a question. For someone who loves Supernatural (the American show) does this series hold up? Obviously, the demons/monsters would have different lores/myths informing them but I want to enjoy something similar to the former, hence, the question.
All the latest episodes have been great. I actually find the script to be one of the strongest reason for the…

Whoever keeps casting Sabrina Zhuang in romance dramas needs to be arrested. She keeps being paired with male…
Preach! I cannot help but agree. I usually try not to diss actors and actresses but I fail to understand why she's thought of as a gifted actress. π€·π»ββοΈ π
I'm suddenly so eagerly waiting for this.First, the teasers were so good and i love all the shorts the official…
Thank you so much for your effort! Absolutely love the message, hope the drama lives up to it. This message is especially poignant given it is a Korean short form series.
loved the show, it was a casual show to watch, not like perfect but absolutely a comfort watch! I also felt it…
I felt it was quite unfair the way you were accused for nothing which is why I felt compelled to speak up and unfortunately the hypocrisy continues given how I didn't ever respond to the OP and only sought to validate the intentions behind your comments. I don't wish other users to end up second guessing themselves while trying to help. π€·π»ββοΈ There have been times when MDL users (with whom I was totally unfamiliar) have responded to my comments and we have had fun discussing the drama even if we had opposing views. The OP still refuses to understand why we both responded the way we did which I guess is fine. Afterall, we have concerns beyond MDL and its users.
We should not have picked this battle, LMAO. Also, don't worry too much, when I was new here, a couple of helpful users answered my queries about MDL features I had no clue about. Hugs! π

No worries, hun. π₯° While I agree that texts can be misconstrued because we cannot interpret intentions of the poster since we don't have facial cues to go on, yet, your observation was pretty self-explanatory. It's almost as if the OP wished to school everyone, yet, ended up feeling schooled themselves, and hence, lashed out which was frankly uncalled for. If the OP felt something was amiss, they could have expressed themselves in a more conciliatory tone. Unfortunately, they came off as awfully (and maybe intentionally) oblivious. π€·π»ββοΈ
OH, the new rookie. Why fire FL just to hire another rookie? How is that downsizing?
True. But corporations are all about surface level efficiency, are they not? And Wonhan wasn't exactly an example of a stellar employer given their track record with employees. π€·π»ββοΈ
First episode is super boring and literally reminds l&p scenes, but it's not even a quarter as good....((I don't…
Everyone here on MDL praises her acting, yet, it always feels like she's acting out her characters, not embodying them and in some scenes, she's just there. No screen presence at all.
You are most probably saying this because you had never been a part of any acting event. The artists literally…
I disagree. The actors may live out the characters for extended periods of time, they do not become the characters themselves. If the latter situation happens, it's actually unhealthy because this implies that the actor has lost his sense of self. Consciously attempting to embody positive traits of their characters is fine. However, mixing up actors with their characters because they seemingly embody the positive traits of their characters is certainly not.
I know I am minority, but I really prefer the seperation between artists and viewers. These things, the various…
And I belong to this minority. While I don't necessarily see meet-and-greet events as an issue per se, yet, many viewers do have a tendency to forget that these events are performances for entertainment. Such events and artists are curated for popular consumption and for increasing the brand value of the product that they have (presumably lovingly) created. We certainly DO NOT know these artists. Heck, do most of us properly know ourselves and others in the orbits we inhabit? The elusiveness of celebrities is long gone. Perhaps, it's high time we as viewers recalibrate our expectations regarding artists and perceive their performances as a reflection of their skill and not their innate selves.
A year ago from today, if someone had told me that Lovely Runner would go on to become one of my most favourite KDramas of all time, I would have gone, "No sirree, absolutely not". The only reason I watched its pilot episode the day it aired was because I had been having a rough couple of days and needed a distraction. I had assumed that I'd promptly drop it thereafter. Not because I don't like romance. It's just that KPop's not my thing. The plot during its promotions seemed generic and BWS didn't exactly leave an impression in the few things I had watched him in. The first episode's humour was a distraction enough to make me watch the second episode and before long I found myself at episode 08, eating all of it up.
Mondays and Tuesdays would never be the same again. I have lost count of how many times I have revisited this series over the course of this past year whenever I felt low. Heck, I remember rewatching it multiple times right after its original run. Also, this satiated my hankering for watching something similar to one of my most favourite dramas (irrespective of their origin), i. e., the Taiwanese drama, Someday or One Day.
Lovely Runner deserves every bit of the praise and accolades it got and continues to get. In the history of Korean dramas, it has carved out a very special place for itself that no other contenders can ever aspire to occupy. The entire Lovely Runner cast and crew, please take a bow.
Let Sol-ah's exuberant "Seon Jae-ya!!!" forever grace our screens as a reminder of the good times we had during its original broadcast. Let Lovely Runner inspire us to be courageous in loving fiercely and unconditionally our dear ones no matter the insurmountable odds that may be stacked against us. ππ
