Something very organic in their acting. There do exist movies and shows from China that have realism. However,…
I disagree. Some of their dubbing artists end up elevating the overall performance. However, there do exist issues. Also, I wish that they were not so hell bent on making everyone sound from Beijing. I like hearing diversity in accents. For me, it's more to do with production design, sets and how overall scenes are composed. Many of the modern C-Dramas go on overdrive with the saturation of pop colours. Also, their rooms and houses almost never look lived in. In Taiwanese dramas, the locations look real because they usually are, LOL. Moreover, the clothes they wear befit the station in life that their characters belong to. Furthermore, the actors are relaxed in their body language. They usually don't try to hold themselves in a particular way. They can lounge if they want to.

I would not generalise, given how queer stories are often made for the entertainment of heteronormative people rather than for the sake of narrating queer stories. I feel that fans should know what's appropriate and what is not without requiring other saner fans pointing such things out.
In my opinion Taiwanese acting is much better than Chinese and seems more natural. I like ml's acting the most…

I don't get the hate for Chris either. Some of us can look beyond the pretty face, you know. Jin Woo knows he's sketchy. I am pretty sure Chris has come through for Jin Woo in the past.
this is so dark omg and why is that man putting poison into jinu's mind? he is so creepy
Oddly enough, I don't find him sinister. Like years of disillusionment has made him immune to whatever wrongs he has seen or faced. His only goal is not unlike KSH's, i.e., have a business that is entirely his own. More like jaded, and I do agree with him advising Jin Woo not to trust anyone. However, that doesn't necessarily mean Jin Woo should trust him, LOL.
This mini drama is so cute. LIke many have said, the plot is simple. I don't agree with the complains that some…
This! I absolutely hate the slow-motion shots and hyper focus as devices to show characters falling in love. Looks so manufactured. Here both the romances were so organic. Our young professor had fallen for his lady a long time ago which was evident from his little smiles and smirks. 😄

Do they not realise that they are actors, one of them is a frigging minor, and that doing so is sexualising them without consent, and thus taking away their agency??
I don't understand the shipping here, he basically acts as his father, so weird
So true, right?! HJS is the father figure HJH never had. At the start, I was so confused as to how these two of all characters can be shipped. I like queer love stories, but this show ain't it.
I kinda feel bad that Mark Ma and ZKL finally have their moment in the spotlight, yet the series finds itself surrounded by controversy. What I really like about this series is that the show is slice-of-life CDrama style. Some are confusing intense platonic love with queer love. The reason HJH is so obsessed with HJS is because how close they always had been. Imagined being torn apart from a family member and having no agency both at that moment and in the years that followed. Also, his depression adds to the toxic mess. I feel both cannot let go of each other because they grew up in close proximity as cousins. It seems HJH didn't have friends of his age even as a child and was growing up amongst mostly older people. His early childhood makes sense why he is the way he is.
