I was not expecting anything tonight omg. And its romance focused too.
The bgm, voices, visuals and the chemistry, all good!
The way ml looks at fl esp. that wound scene... my HaoYan cp is shaking. lol And its just a trailer.

First impression, its good!
I wasn't expecting anything dark but the balance between light and dark scenes is just right.
I like how its fast paced. It's been a while since I watched a drama without using the speed button.

Overall, it feels refreshing and nostalgic at the same time. I didn't expect to have enjoyed it as much as I did. Looking forward to the next eps.

Its nice that you find the drama awesome and you want more. I'm good with the 40, because even with that many eps they still only gave fl 2-3 focused eps, rushed too. The drama also didn't made me feel the emotions I felt in the novel. There's definitely more in the source material, not just with fl but ml's character is more interesting (at least for me) and the ending is better too. Enjoy~

Anyways, even though it disapppinted me as a novel adaptation, it was still a fun watch as a standalone.

And since its unlikely that fl and ml will work together again, hoping instead to see her with 1st love, 2ml and 3ml in future projects cause I enjoyed her chemistry with them too.

After being disappointed with Bulgasal and Arthdal S2 announcement, hope this one will be good.

I still love how she was mad not because he was involved in a fight, but because he lost. lol

I don't usually like school dramas, but this one is light, wholesome and the only one that gave me warm and nostalgic feelings.

So far Mind Reader is not as good as Dr. Qin, but I enjoy it more than Survivor. Not because of the cases, I just couldn't tolerate the female love interest there.

I'm enjoying watching it while waiting for LLTG and MRTS.

I don't do irl shipping (even with cps I felt great chemistry) nor do I follow actors, but as long as its not toxic esp. since the actress is quite young (which is probably a factor on how the actor treated her) then good for them.

Glad the fl isn't annoying like the stalker love interest in Survivor, so I don't mind the romance. As long as its natural, don't dumb down her character to force it. They can be both smart together.

I'm enjoying it so far.

You're welcome~ If you plan on reading the short novel, there is so much more of BFX there. It's originally fl centered, the drama made it into ml centered.

The drama cut/changed a lot of scenes including the YYZ arc and my fave scene with fl and her generals. You'll get all those in the novel + the proper, unrushed HE and extra.

Yes the novel definitely has a better ending. A proper HE, unlike the drama's bittersweet one.

It has the same title, Qie Shi Tian Xia / Who Rules the World.

We can only hope for them to work together again in the future.

In the drama she actually replied that it'll be worth to be buried with him if they don't survive.

And the line he told her before he left "I will repay you in the next life" was different in the novel. His original line was "I will come back to find you in the next life! I will not be short lived in the next life! Feng Xi remember me!" Their lips touched and their tears dropped.

Their love story is beautiful and impactful that the drama had to cut it because there will definitely be a lot of
YYZ x BFX shippers.

You're welcome~ The 2nd half of the novel was my favorite with the conflicting emotions of fl with her responsibilities and personal feelings. She even got mad at ml for hiding the truth about YYZ because he knew all along.

And the fact that the fl actually had a first love unlike most stories where the fl has to stay pure and untouched for the ml. She is a well written character.
The first love was genuine, and YYZ played by a hot actor also helps. Quite a few viewers felt the chemistry with ZLS even though their love line was toned down in the drama.

Okay, gotta stop now. It's getting obvious that I like the novel. lol

The drama didn't make him come back.

In the novel, when fl killed him on the battlefield she didn't know it was him because he was wearing a mask.

It was for her sake, because he knew that she will have a hard time if she knew who he was.

I feel the need to add this detail because despite their romance being short lived, it was a genuine first love.
