i absolutely looooveeee the trope of a younger dude becoming lowkey obsessed with his older mentor figure and becoming more hardboiled as the story progresses - and this story fits it perffeccctttttlyyyyyyy
Was not expecting this movie to be as good as it was after reading the manga and watching the anime, I didn't even know it existed until recently actually!
It was such an easy breezy watch that was really charming! Much like the other works of the story's creator, it was cute and somewhat thoughtful! I enjoyed it!!
it was definitely a cute, fluffy romance but i reckon they could have done soooo much more with the eps they had - some of the middle eps felt so slow then all of a sudden things got serious when there was only 3 eps left
i liked the conflicts they went through at the end, it was realistic and balanced out their fluffiness nicely but it really did need more depth and gravity, i didnt like how the writing barely got into it and then resolved it straight away
was a decent watch but early eps dragged on and ending eps felt too rushed :/
a great show highlighting the never-ending corruption and hidden agendas in thai politics and their politicians, with a side of slow-burning, high-chemistry romance
its a refreshing take on a classic yet realistic trope. Can the naive doctor change the corrupt system, or will he eventually be corrupted just like others before him?
I am so keen to see a second season and see how our strategic Vee handles things, and if he can stop the doctor from warping into something he is trying to fight against. If you like political intrigue with a heavy splash of romance, you'll love this!!
a very sweet, underrated series! the highlight for me was definitely the friendship and family dynamics - they felt so organic and natural! i absolutely loved win's father, he felt like such a real dad to his two boys, and i loved how they incorporated their lil family scenes into the show!
the romance between all 3 couples is slowburn af, but it feels much more genuine and realistic that way. i would have preferred if the ending was a bit more solid or impactful by showing their future selves or something because it felt somewhat unfinished but other than that, it really was a lovely little show
first 3-4 eps might be a bit slow but i was fully hooked by ep 5 and loved it! totally hope the show gets the attention it deserves!
i loved this series!! yes the story could have had more development but honestly, the chemistry and acting of jimmysea totally makes up for it! their chemistry, acting and relationship development were totally the highlights of the show, and i really could not stop cheesing at all of their cute and flirty scenes!
thap was soooo charismatic and charming while in was so handsome and sweet! i loved how vulnerable they were with each other, and the maturity and realism in their relationship. that final interview was such a cherry on top to finish off such a lovely show
all in all, the story is ok, but the romance is so damn sweet. totally worth watching just for the couples
this gave me major S.C.I vibes!! i loved it!! the bromance was hella strong and i enjoyed the story quite a lot! if only they could make this into a full length series
a really sweet show!! the first 6 eps are so heartbreaking and portray jiahao's mental decline so well ! my poor lil baby!
the acting was great from both leads and the story was so heartwarming! the writing starts off extremely strong but dips towards the end, which i reckon had the potential to be super emotionally impactful - not sure why they didnt go that route but oh well
im a massive fan of kabhi khushi kabhi gham so im familiar with the 'stubborn patriarch disowns the eldest son and tears family apart, only for the youngest son to reunite the family years later' trope but i felt the same about both regarding the adult family members - it is so cowardly to let a grown man and his ego ruin the lives of innocent children and break the family apart bc of bullshit face and honour. both the mother and aunt in particular should have done more to protect the boys :(
took a couple of episodes for me to get hooked but it was quite fun once i did! i loved that final plot twist! i wish they had more episodes about them figuring it out, inception-style, but it was cool nonetheless
the bromance was good and i really liked that lil recovery arc they did in the middle, that was a nice touch
this is soooooo reminiscent of the 80s/90s hong kong crime thriller unexpected brotherhood film era!!! for a show that has a runtime of <20 min per episode, this was phenomenal!!!!
the production and overall quality is sooooooo good!! its gritty asf and takes itself very seriously, not shying away from the grimy underbelly of scamming, how they recruit through trafficking, and the effects it can have on those affected
the bromance was top-tier, and i loved the ever-changing dynamic between han chuan, an fei and sang tuo - you could really feel the jealousy towards the end and i loved that tension lmaooo
i wish we had some closure for the sister and her friend at the very end, but everything else was just so damn good!
