Let's just say that if you don't care for the 2013 drama series, and wish there was a more likable version out there, then you might just like this movie. I haven't watched the sequels yet so I can't speak into them, but the first film is very cute. Naoki is warmer, Kotoko isn't as stupid, and it made me realize that the Mischievous Kiss plot is better suited to movie length than drama series length. You don't have enough time to get angry. Kudos to Kanta Sato for making me like Naoki. I didn't think that was possible.

Yep, he's got waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more charisma than the ML. I'm shipping Sora and Manaha so much in this drama, even though I'm sure it will end in heartbreak. *sigh*

Awesome! I'll have to start it this month. Anything with coffee and Tomoya Nakamura is bound to be a success for me. :)

Oh yes, absolutely, the 1940s clothes and fedora suited Kame so well! He was so gorgeous in Joker Game!

So, so fun! Campy, yes, but it's absolutely supposed to be. I just laughed so much, what a fun and silly little gem of a spy movie. Plus, Kame in a fedora . . . yes, please!

ML and FL are in love, SML is in love with FL, and SFL (if you can call her that since she's more like the ex-girlfriend) is in love with ML.

Agreed! Such a hilariously delightful gem! One of my favs, even now! First time I saw it was 9 years ago and I still love it!

That's a shame because this really is an absolutely adorable drama that showcases Kamenashi's comedic skills. It's supposed to be cute and fun and family-friendly. It also has some great messages about perseverance and discipline.

It's better to just skip a drama if you think you won't actually like it than watch it just because it has your favorite actor in it. Case in point, I love Christian Bale but you couldn't pay me to watch all of his movies because I know there are some I will hate because they're not to my taste. Just sayin'.

LoL, I haven't watched Coffee Ikaga Deshou yet, but yes, it does seem that Tomoya Nakamura is on a food journey. That cracks me up!

Makes sense. I keep waiting for the day that Viki will have higher quality Jdramas in its archives. Until then, so much sadness.

An excellent drama, super engaging. If you don't like dark comedies with the comedy being quite a bit over the top, then that probably isn't for you. It's also a bit on the gruesome side, like, ewww. But great performances by everyone. Kudos to my man, Tomoya Nakamura!

The Code Blue franchise is an interesting medical drama from Japan, too. Although I don't know how accurate it is since I'm not in the medical profession.

Love Kamenashi but the idea here is creepy. Especially after the scandal that he and Yamashita were embroiled in last year. I wonder how often teen girls do this in real life, passing as adults. Probably more often than we want to think about.

I think his death depends on where the knife wound hit. If you plunge a knife into just the right spot, you'll go into shock (not being able to really move) and the blood loss can be enormous, which is pretty much what happened to him. So that didn't seem unrealistic at all, it's just that the killer knew what he was doing and where to strike.

It just seems like such an all-encompassing statement, when only a handful of the Jdramas I've seen are slow at the start.

I've always liked Kame's acting. He's charming and energetic. Not so much charming in this, but still.

SLS happened for me in The Love Equations with Cai Yasi (even though I really liked the ML too since he was a really nice guy). Ironically, Cai Yasi would have been a terrible match for the FL so it wasn't that he was better for her, it's just that he was more my own type. I like nerdy, geeky, warm guys and that was Cai Yasi. So while I would have picked him, I know why the FL didn't. The ML was the better choice for her.

And then again in Black Cinderella with Shimamura Sora. I think I just don't like that the ML is such a prince. Shimamura Sora is so much more down-to-earth and honest than the ML. It's not that the ML isn't nice, but he's also a pushover. And that gets old. Of course, there are only 3 episodes subbed so far so that could change.

Overall I usually don't suffer from SLS. So it's surprising to me when it happens for me at all.

Bishoku Tantei Akechi Goro is what brought me to his page too. Man, he's scary in that drama! But excellent!
