I see passions are running wild over this one. And is it any surprise?
They are iconic, And set aside all the off-screen drama, I am truly happy they have come together for another project. Are they peerless actors? probably no. (although my inner bias screems : hell yeah) but they truly look like they had so much fun with ep. 1 - it's tangible.
Is Singto's character a bit skin-deep so far (yes) and did Phi make a random 180-character turn (yes) but, pls- it's just ep1. Krist's facial expression are truly priceless and there are hints of Singto's unforgettable cheek. Am I undeniably biased? yes, But that was as strong a start as could be hoped for. And with only 10 eps, maybe even GMMTV has finally realised that they never (for any drama) had enough plot for 12 episodes before and made a script that will do justice to these two and what they mean to so many of us.

The 'best' BL is certainly a matter of personal taste. 🤣 But I think noone will object when I recommend SOTUS.…
Yes, I know KinnPorsche is very popular. And I also enjoyed it. It brought new elements to the genre and the chemistry was good. But I found the source material gouache and harebrained and the side story sadly neglected. But it was pretty, funny & had great editing. It was solid, and I allow anyone to have loved it :) If you mean by 'bias' having a favourite out of all the series I have watched, then yes. In the context of my BL journey, I am biased towards it. As you are biased towards KP, as your favourite. That just happens :) I do not expect anyone to share my bias, nor did I mean to press it on anyone. I agree that SOTUS is (in many ways) not as pretty as KP and, in light of recent productions, a bit old-fashioned & tacky, but it has solid writing, meaningful plot, considering it's age it does not have any problematic tropes and the romance was extremely tangible (even without abs or snogging in the pool) - while we disagree on the best thing since sliced bread, we may agree on this though:
It is truly better to have diverse recommendations, since in the end we all share a love for BL (in all its forms!)

Orderly = *** in the garden
Composed = drawing cat faces on his junior at work

Never has there ever been a summary so misleading.
He must dislike kids because he himself is too much like one.

I've always thought War was the best crier in the world of BL but now I think we have a new contender in the house...…
He does remind me a lot of War, too! He has some of the same facial expressions & similar charisma . Not sure Who is the better crier, though...

I am glad they toned down Smart's makeup in the last eps.

Does anyone know of a drama or movie where the male lead is masochistic or submissive? Sort of like a SoongFirst…
Try 'Double Mints' but check the tags before watching. :)

SOTUS is not an abbreviated title like ITSAY (I told the sunset about you) if you type in sotus in the mdl search bar you will find it. It is the system still used in Thailand colleges (though I am not an expert) that values SENORITY, ORDER, TRADITION, UNITY, SPIRIT and endeavours to teach these values by means of various hazing activities. It's a highly problematic topic but this Thai BL is set against this backdrop, but it is very light despite trying to show the SOTUS system from both perspectives.

Cna anyone suggest me best BL series, this is my 1st time watching these.
The 'best' BL is certainly a matter of personal taste. 🤣
But I think noone will object when I recommend SOTUS. It is a classic & the only thing you will have to fear is that it will forever outshine whatever comes after. It surely is the archetype of BL. It is light & fluffy with great acting - and you can branch out from there. And if you are more into colourful BL try Bad Buddy. Both are great BL to start, as most everyone has seen the one or the other, and free on yt. You can check out my BLove list for ideas, but I prefer mature BL and have avoided several recent productions which are nontheless very popular with their own following, so you have plenty to explore.

I never saw the original when it came out - I tried watching it since but couldn't get into it.
This one was a bit choppy in ep 1, and I was unsure about Earth as Heng, but my-oh-my was I wrong. I didn't know he could act so hilariously. It's refreshing and I am glad we get to see this performance! I thought he was a bit typecast as quiet, silent-waters-run-deep sort of character (especially after his performance in Moonlight Chicken). But boy does he show off his goofy side and smiles here.
I am laughing so hard, every scene cracks me up. I like that Heng as a character is immature, but so kind & charismatic that people fall in love with him anyway.
The boss'es romance is actually done very tastefully and not a cringy come on at all. Shakrit is very impressive in this role. Yes, Heng should do the decent thing and reject him outright instead of playing along, but then the story would have been over after 1 ep. So you kinda have to buy into that for the story to work,
And Mix, well. He could be playing a bed knob and I'd still watch it-

The sexual dance part was perfect for me. I have no complaints. I think the BDSM part was made to be a bit funny.…
Indeed! Once you throw your expectations of a serious series overboard, this has such wacky appeal!

That was the most ridiculous thing I've seen in ages... MWAHAHAHA ... I cannot believe grown men agreed to film this. I see flaws left, right and center in every scene.
Dunk is overacting a lot most of the time, but in the cupboard scene his face suddenly looks like he is trying to remember his grocery shopping list. dear lord... I laughed so hard.
But I am a bit sad about the editing in the dance scene - I think it could have been really good. & why the hell would you take out the tension from the bdsm scene (not that there was much) by inter-cutting it with Fadel angrily hoeing the ground as anger management therapy? Totally took the effect out of both scenes. Except if the intention was to make me snort out my drink through my nose all over my laptop - in that case: well done

Just how many NCs do you think they had because Hideya hit his head on the exhaust hood during filming?

This movie shows that personality is fluid and we change all the time just to live. Our psyche is an adaptive little bastard. It is meant to show how one broken man helps another but it's a case of a train without wheels: will soon get nowhere. Kai's way of thinking is unhealthy and comes from the fact that noone helped him when he needed it: so his coping mechanisms are truly awful. I doubt that either of them can still love in normal sense of the word. So they have some twisted facsimilie of the emotion, but I suppose that is just what happens after a trauma. So I get why some people call it love, but others don't.
I watched it to the end because I was truly curious how this would turn out. But it left me feeling stale and dejected. I know this whole set up is just too common, so it's good (for me, at least) to sometimes watch movies like this so that I do not ignore how awful the world around is. Some of the directing was interesting but the whole story was just too depressing (for me)

yes yes I know it's FirstKhao but I wish ppl would't get so excited over ep 1-2. I mean, actors aside, we know most writers can still deliver the hook, line & sinker-deal in the initial eps. The real test comes when it's time to maintaining a good story. And I've been disappointed one too many times this year. No amount of snogging can save a bad story. I can overlook a good many plot holes, just like everyone else here, but I just want one good package-deal to end this year.

MUHAHAHAHAHA! They explained nothing! 🤣🤣 I wish I'd had placed a bet about this. Everyone was so sure, there 'd be some crucial thing about that ring, but it's just an entry token and if you lose or lend it than that person is a horseman. Seems exactly like the kind of security arrangement a professional mafia cartell should have. And what is this: Save becomes the new creditor of the suburb and he continues to hold people to their debts because it would otherwise 'mess up the system'? I love that explanation. And Boss just doing whatever he wants with god-knows-what money he is paying his lackeys... what 's the point of the '4 Horsemen'?
That being said: I am so glad they gave Yin a stage to show his talent in this episode. (Although War took the spotlight from him with that crying)

My frustration tolerance for this series is nearly exhausted. They make this huge plot driven BL but why is the plot so messy and the characters so pointless? Mark is just standing around in pretty shirts with no function whatsoever after he joins Tattoo. Pee is dug up from god-knows-where every few eps, Lady Boss is acting all mysterious puppeteer and then folds at the first sign of opposition. How does Jack manage to pay off other people's debt but barely his own? How is it lucrative to kill off you debtors? how did Daddy go from 'once a thief-always a thief' to 'you're awesome, son!'? who paid Granny's med bill? why is Jack's character so impotent and caught in external circumstances until the end?
There are plenty of things I love about this series, but the plot and 75% of the characters give me whiplash.
