Wow. I really really enjoyed reading ur comment. I watched the video u shared and i can't help but to do three things.
1. Appreciate and admire as to how cdramas are portraying such cultural exchange and realism with the world. I didn't even knew that Shazou( i always forget name) is actually a real place in China. I thought along with fictional dynasty this city is also fictional. Plus the naan and cuisine that was shown in video i never knew its preparation and cooking is almost same as Indian naan but also diff as shown and told by the guy Flo in video. Even those thread work in thin paper or net sheet as we see in drama is so same. But ig the heavy food makes sense as u need energy to survive in that vast desert. Also the Han empire i recently only googled or came accross this dynasty name while searching for salt and iron monopolisation and trade that somehow i discovered while watching and surfing this drama. And I got to know it's located very near to Shazou so quiet like story linkage. I am appreciating this drama more.

2. I remembered a lot of concepts after watching this video and ur comment. I only read about yardans, sand dunes ,attrition and abrasion but in video that was reflected. Somewhere i can't help but just compare to the desert in my country. In my country i have only seen one hump camels but i never knew even in China we can find double humped camels. Also camel lengths are small than i have seen in my country.

3. This whole Convo made the girl in me awaken so as to get the motivation to study geography again tomorrow morning 😂 although my fav subject but it's eating dust for so long.

But sandflies are so dangerous. And i understand about whole flight situation. In my country before summer when strong winds comes from West Asia all the way to carry the sand from the desert located in west of my country. Even me who is living in east has to close the doors. We avoid going out that time otherwise due to hot and sandy winds people actually die. Can't imagine the situation when stuck in mild or intense sandstorm..

That's where ig i appreciate green screen. It's so deadly to shoot there with precautions it asks for lots of money and safety. Although real shooting places are always appreciated but this is far too dangerous.

Idk. Not yet started. I am still at nanyang mystery. 😂 Thriller is not my genre. But i heard it's doing extremely well. Its heat index surpassed 10,000 in first day only. So it's a hit. Plus it was most anticipated drama. U can skip season 1 of mystic nine and directly go for season 2. I will join much later on that. 😂😂😂😂

I can't survive past 2nd ep. I really admire ur patience. But i did saw in parts and skipping. Everytime I want them to discuss about relationship and whole concept of how they themselves ( i.e. show) decided to explore how fated mates are bound to meet and u just can't control and loose ur ability to think and act, how they are bound to love and face life and death situation of omegaverse. Not to mention the greed and power hungry people of wanting to produce enigma and dominate the omegaverse world was left so scattered and not well handled. I understand they explored something new like respecting consent in omegaverse but come on move on from that. All i saw from main cp is too much rely on NC scenes which for some reasons felt flat. I thought that's how omegaverse is, like animals but no. It just lack emotions. Even I can ignore plot holes rn reason being lot of only serious shows are airing and I really wanted to watch something on brain rot level. But this is even worse than that. Plus too much side character introduction i mean why u want to introduce those characters if u don't even explore the fights yes the normal ABO fights with power. I just can't help but to remember even in ABO desire it's not always about fights but they did showed how their powers are superior than others. Here the only scene where i felt little bit of showing pheromone and scent thing dominant to win and surrender is when nakhun carried phatsa during bond fever. They actually could have sticked to one basic concept of ABO world and revolve the story around it and it would still be better than this. It has elements here and there but it never took the form of storytelling or serving the plot because looks like the script writer just named the series "Knot" and forget about it. Even acting wise i liked oat emotional breakdown but that's there all to it. I was really excited for this but looks like all i can get from this drama is disappointment.

Really??? Starting now. Should have told this earlier. I was literally scratching my head because all I see are serious drama 😭. This is exactly what i need.

What about Gobi desert?

Tbh filming in desert is not easy. Some scenes where younger meng ting hui and younger emperor is facing sandstorm that can and is actually deadly. Even the scenes where meng ting hui was saving xiang that is also not easy to shoot in desert.

As an audience we really want realism but sometimes few scenes can't be shot in that area. It can literally cost life .

Who do u think is more appropriate meng ting hui or xue fangfei from double ???

Ep3, so maybe coming from a country where salt production was considered as our right and freedom movement during colonial period. I can't help but to search as to why salt production in ancient China was strictly controlled. Interestingly, when I googled i found out that how deeply geography can influence a basic need of human being. That time looks like it technology was not well developed and due to not having access to sea waters except in South and East China from then it was considered highly valuable. So states used to impose high taxes and control salt market. I am attaching reference link below if anyone wants to read. 😅

Iron is tricky. Even till this date iron ore extraction and getting high quality iron along with in mass so as to produce for commercial usage is a challenge. And imagine that time often for military arms purposes it was used in huge amount. Plus high quality iron usage in arms apart from imperial army means threat for all the reasons we saw in this drama as well as in ADWAD. What amazed me in this drama is the reforging concept of military arms. It's a new concept that I have never listened. I mean I get the idea of melting iron and using that iron to shape the arms as transporting arms would be too risky and need more n/w to pass all checkpoints and skilled labour to again forge arms. But looks like reforging in China is not new. They often used to melt iron in order to shape the tools that they need for more smaller and sharper objects. Also it also makes sense in drama as it would help escape away the marks on military weapon so as to understand that no one is reusing or embezzling the military arms as it is to others. That's why in ep3 there was diff emblem also that those shanzou bandits were using.

Apart from that in ep3, we got to know the despite king surrounded by person like chancellor xu he also has someone like shen who is so loyal to the country. That heartwarming reunion of shen family and king enjoying that moment tells how much tuff life inside palace is all glamour no peace and happiness.

I just knew it how governor will escape first when he will be in problem. But one thing along with freeing shanzou ig this is where king has fallen for her. Earlier he was just interested but now he looks friendly and smitten by her. Start of their friendship. Interesting to see how story will unfold from here on.

PS- This drama is a paradise for people like me who is very much interested in geopolitics and administration. It's like a hitting home to me.

Someone down in the comments explained that. That he has some bad past experience that gave him trauma. But even if that's the case story didn't told it properly as to let viewers feel empathised with his fear.

That's what. Maybe this drama is dealing with romance as it's centre and adding lots of comic tones when dealing with serious topic. But drama actually is showing all realism and all types of people and struggles along with good things a person with good IQ but low EQ suffers. It's one way of approaching drama when u think everything from ML and FL perspective. But this drama so far has done well in showing how people also gets affected by them. And that's the issue here. ML doesn't need to be perfect always be can always do character development even more so when we are on early ep. Same FL can also improve. Not all story needs to begin with ML being perfect. That's also the key here. This drama actually is diving deeper in social pysche

U are confusing two things here. What u said is about how sometimes other want to hear a simple line " i didnt knew it will turn out like that" instead of whole gene talk. The moment she said that she didn't knew that her food preferences was asked for this she kept her mouth shut on that.

I am definitely not saying that bullying and targeting and isolating is not wrong. They also need to understand that she is genius and adjust accordingly.

But when u get peer pressure and constant comparison from ur own parents then some kind of resentment automatically comes. It's a dirty side of being human. Ask parents why they have to always compare their child with others. Why education system values geniuses and who are average they tend to forget that they are also intelligent just in diff way. It's a deep rooted socital and educational values that is rooted in our society is what they are showing in drama. Just because drama is little bit comic in nature it doesn't mean they are not dealing or talking about issues. It's just they are highlighting in diff way.

Again i am not defending ting ting or anyone who has participated in isolating her. Or appreciating her solely because she is intelligent.

But showing this side of society does give a sense of realism.
Maybe u are thinking in a way that how FL is feeling. Yes whatever happened is hurtful but story is exploring all goods and bads that happens when someone is extraordinarly good.
