Do I need to watch Princess Agents first for this? I tried that before but dropped that for some reason. Can I watch this one on its own?

I also hope they at least get a happy ending. They still have some chance for a happy ending. But for the JiLu couple, I can't see any chances 😔😔

Yeah, although we already kind of guessed it, two things were confirmed in today’s episode. Wu Shiguang was a dragon from the very beginning—he had innate dragon abilities even in childhood. And the Butterfly demon also confirmed that Jiling/Chiwen is a fake dragon.

Dang, a lot of things happened in one episode. The best part is that we’re finally back in the real world—well, except for the Wuwu couple. The next episodes are going to be exciting.

Theory time:

There are so many mysteries surrounding Lu Wuyi. She’s clearly different from the other foxes, and we never got to see her past. The illusion sequence also hints that she’s deeply connected to that little snake, or possibly Jiu Ying. When I look at the drama’s alternative titles—"Painted Skin" and "The Resurrection"—it makes me think she might not be a real person at all, but a shadow or puppet created by Jiu Ying.

Jiu Ying was defeated by the dragons, but its spirit still remains. It can possess a living body. It created Lu Wuyi, who looks the same as Di Zhu. But this shadow is different from Ji Ling, who is made of wood, but in the case of Lu Wuyi, she was made from actual fox bodies. That's why she can keep the fox appearance.

Now I’m starting to doubt the current Chi Wen/Ji Ling as well. He might also be a shadow of the real Chi Wen, created from a real fox. In that sense, both Ji Ling and Lu Wuyi aren’t real. They have their own consciousness, but they’re essentially shadows of Chi Wen and Jiu Ying, who were mortal enemies. Ji Ling and Wuyi love each other, but their love is ultimately impossible.

All of them are good. Fortunately, we’re blessed with such high‑quality dramas this year. In terms of story and plot, this drama is better than the others.

What an exciting first episode. It’s packed with action , definitely didn't see that coming.

Does she really lack all five senses? From what I can see, she definitely has at least two. She can hear, and she can see—maybe her vision is limited, like only seeing in black and white, but her hearing seems perfectly fine. Did I miss something, or did they ever confirm that she is missing all five senses?

The beginning was a bit slow, but by the end of ep 7, things definitely got more interesting. I’m enjoying the drama a lot more now. Dilreba and Arthur both are great in their roles. The only thing I didn’t like was Dilreba’s “fake acting” in the first few episodes — it felt a bit too fake, lol. Maybe the director wanted her to play it that way. But once she switches to her usual Ghost Queen persona, she’s fantastic. Overall, the drama looks great!
