Yeah, you’re probably right. It’s not really about the FL—I was just thinking from a different angle. I wondered if not accompanying He Jinhyuan might have affected him, but that might not be the case here. Still, the FL forcing her decisions on others didn’t sit well with me. You can’t just impose choices on people because you think it’s for their own good. Even small personal decisions can have major consequences in war and on the battlefield. And, the FL is doing it more than one time.

I understand their perspectives, but I still don’t like it. Honestly, you can’t make decisions for other people—whether in personal life or on the battlefield. Especially in war, the pride and structure of the army matter a lot. You can’t just knock out the leader of a troop simply because he can’t continue. What about the soldiers under him? There should still be some left. When you think about it in a normal, practical sense, it’s just bad. And we might see the outcome of this action. Li Huai An might go to the wrong side and can become a future enemy.

I honestly find Chang Yu knocking Li Huai An out selfish. I get that he’s wounded and she feels he should stay…
I also didn't like it. She shouldn't make decisions for others. For XZ, it was also not okay but it was understandable. Li HuaiAn can make his own decisions whether he wants to die or live. Also, he commands an army. Don't know how much of his army is left on the battlefield. But to see your leader gets knocked out unnecessary is not good for the morale of his army. Well, what is the outcome now? Most likely, Li HuaiAn will go to the wrong side now and become an enemy. I don't know, but there were some obvious wrong choices made by the writer and director.

I'm not sure how accurate it is, the image had writing in English and not published by the platforms. Usually…
True, it doesn’t look official. But it could also be an early leak from a regional platform.

I’m so nervous about episode 25 😭 I just saw the preview. Xie Zheng intentionally tricking the enemies that…
I’m just sad to see this. I hope she didn’t actually exchange the hostage for some food and that she returns with him. That would be a very dumb action by the FL. I really hope the trailer is just trying to mislead us. Regardless of any miscommunication, she should never hijack a hostage from an army camp. That’s not her call to make. It’s a serious issue and should lead to disciplinary action. If she joins the military later, she definitely needs to learn basic military rules.

Well, I see it a bit differently. Chang Yu has always blamed herself for the ML marrying into her family and then going to war. She wanted to repay that debt through divorce and by giving him money for his future. She liked him, of course, but fully committing herself is a different matter. If you had read the novel, you’d understand what I mean. The drama isn’t different from the novel in this regard.

You can clearly see she’s a proud person. If she knew his identity from the start, there wouldn’t be any romance at all—the status gap is simply too big. Even in the novel, when she finally learned who he really was, she struggled a lot with accepting that difference. Honestly, now is the right time for him to tell her. Any earlier and we wouldn’t have gotten any romance or drama. You know what I mean.

Of course, the ML or anyone else isn’t underestimating her. Things are just unfolding in a way that makes it look like that. I’d say the writer is intentionally making the FL a bit naive in this area. She’s normally a smart person, and she should have figured out his identity by now. But if the writer doesn’t want her to find out yet… what can you do, lol. Let’s just enjoy what we can.

Why did Yan Zheng agree to be a matrilocal husband?1. Attracted to Fan Cheng Yu?2. Repay FCY saving him?3. Delay…
All of the above, of course — but in terms of priority, it’s 1 > 2 > 3.

I wanted him to tell her in today’s episode, but I also think it might not be a good idea. There’s a huge status gap between her and the marquis. She needs to be sure of her own feelings first. Before, she wasn’t fully certain, but now she knows she loves him. She’s naive, but she’s also proud. If she learned his identity today or before, she wouldn’t accept her own feelings and might leave him for good. Still, the ML really should tell her as soon as possible —maybe tomorrow. But he might not get the chance. In the end, everything happens for a reason. We wouldn’t get this romantic tension if she had already found out the secret.

After the fight in episode 27 does i take long before they get together again and also are they together for abit…
I saw that teaser too. I think this happens after the 108‑whip incident. Xie Wu and the FL were helping the ML. In one of the interviews, they mentioned that the FL learns about the ML being lashed right away, unlike in the novel where she only finds out a few days later. I also don’t think there will be a second breakup in the drama. I don’t see any broken‑heart hints in the calendar. What seems more likely is that they’ll both be sad and avoid each other for a while, but without an official breakup. That’s my guess

I was thinking this might be the reason for the flogging scene. She broke military protocol and did her own thing…
I can’t believe the director and scriptwriter chose to go down this route. It makes no sense. The hostage isn’t just anyone—he’s a key figure in the entire war. The Shi army isn’t attacking precisely because of this hostage situation. They have a huge numbers advantage, yet they’re holding back. Thousands of lives and multiple future outcomes depend on this one hostage. This is just so dumb.

Ep 25 preview: Chang Yu is trying to trade a high‑profile hostage for some food. Really??? I hope she didn’t actually mean it and won’t hand him over to the enemy. They seriously can’t make the FL this dumb. I really hope there’s some explanation behind that decision.
