Title Legend of Zang Hai Spoiler
I’m on episode 24 now, at the banquet scene—and wow. Everything’s done so well. The plot is tight but still takes its time to build things up properly, and the payoff is totally worth it.

Something that really stood out to me: Marquis Pingjin is clearly a general, and you can feel it in the way he carries himself. He’s got a straight backbone, doesn’t mess around with dirty tricks, and isn’t embezzling huge funds like many others. He understands his role—both as the head of his family and as a high-ranking military man.

Sure, he killed Zhang Hai’s family, but compared to the rest of the officials, he actually seems to have some kind of moral code. You really see it in this banquet scene. While Cao Jingxian is out here locking up his own son, torturing him, scheming, and putting on a whole act of being a victim, Marquis Pingjin goes the honest route. Marquis Pingjin decides to impeach him in front of the emperor and other officials. When the eunuch storms in during the banquet and threatens him, he draws a sword and tells him to fight.

He may not be the best person in the world but he is a good general.

the actor playing the Marquid PingJin is doing such an amazing job! just by looking at him, you instantly know he is a powerful general who has led several troops to battles and won them all. someone who has survived the blood fights, someone you can't fool easily. the actor carries dominance just by the way he walkes! 👏🏻

i just love how not everything is spoiled right in the beginning. instead, we slowly get to know the characters, their motives, lives, etc. things are revealed just when you need them to keep your interest!

I don't think they hate the romance, I guess people think the romance might ruin the intrigue and tight revenge…

I hope there are going to be german subs.are there? does anyone watch this on Disney+ in Europe and knows which…
hmmm, maybe try Rakuten Viki. i am not sure how much time it's gonna take for the series to air there or whether it will even buy the right to broadcast it, but there's a good chance! you can find fansub there in many languages (German being pretty common) and they have many dramas. it is totally legal. the only "bad" is that there are some ads and the quality of dramas is not HD.

ich hoffe, das hilft. 😊 viel Spaß beim Serienschauen

tbh, i don't understand why there are so many people hating on romance as a subplot. if it is done well and doesn't take away too much focus from the main plot, i think it can be actually really good, adding even more layer to a character. but this is just my opinion 🤷🏼‍♀️

the intro is so myterious and ominous, it kinda makes the watcher anxious. i like it. it fits the dark plot pretty well :3

Yes, all of them, even the buddies and the little princess in her way of being "evil" was really refreshing to…
yes! i loved that there was no fake and annoying crying, just kids acting like kids, especially the one who played the young version of the male lead. that kid has got talent! bright future ahead...

I don't care what yall say I love BL that actually have solid plot and is not only about the romance. slow burn…
i totally agree! somehow, bls where romance isn't the central focus—and where we get to see other sides of the characters—often turn out to be much more compelling. i'm really enjoying this right now~

all the shows the others recommended are pretty good, plus here are some others: 1) A Tale of Thousand Stars (very…
right?! i also came across Miseinen by chance through an instagram reel and immediately fell in love with it. one thing i really love and adore about this drama is how well they blend harsh realism with japanese minimalism and the concept of fighting for love. the cinematography is on a whole another ass level. ahh, and the characters~, they feel so real and have so much depth. 🥰

i find it kinda funny how two of my favourite BL share similarities. Top Form is based on a Japanese manga, meanwhile Miseinen is originally a Korean manhwa, therefore adapted in a different country. i found both accidentally while surfing on the internet, started watching while airing, and felt that it is gonna be so good right from the beginning haha 😇
