Not seeing the 'airing' tag next to this drama's title genuinely pains me... And not to sound corny or anything…
Exactly! I had so much fun reading the comments about theories, character development, or just hotness appreciation (I'm looking at you, Li Lun and Zhao Yuanzhou). For a few weeks, my heart will feel empty for sure π I don't even know how I'll concentrate on school...
Thanks guys for everything β€οΈ Let's meet again in another comment section
The chemistry among all the actors in this drama is lit. It's as if they are truly close in real life. I'm early…
I think during shooting they did build a nice bond and friendship. Just look at their cute dance at the end of each episode - the way they're smiling is so cute and joyful π
They did an amazing job portraying Zhao Yuanzhou as a thousands-of-years old demon who's tired and weary. My poor Zhu Yan π
I know it's nearly impossible, but am i wrong for still hoping for a happy ending? π’ When Yinglong expressed his wish for them to have a future together, it really made my heart ache for a HE ππ
okay, since the drama is nearing the end. letβs share the best moments in Fang Of Fortune so far. we have come…
My favourite scene is when Zhuo Yichen's brother is practicing sword techniques in the garden, meanwhile Zhuo Yichen being as cute as he is tries to jump up and get the fruit on the tree That's just so adorable and heartwarming π₯°
I also love that scene when ZYZ gives flowers to the XW and we get to see some flashbacks from their past!
Oh, and the scene where the three of them were arguing about swings and ZYC was being all jealous because ZYZ was pushing the swing XW was on.
God, there are so many amazing scenes. I could spend a whole day listing them... π€
What makes this drama really exciting is how you can pair up just about any characters. Thereβs WX & ZYZ, WX…
You explained it so well! I completely agree.
Although I'm a die-hard bl fan, I can't wrap my head around something - Just because two people have amazing chemistry and lots of screentime together, it doesn't mean that they were meant to be lovers π Like pls. I personally see nothing more between Zhuo Yichen and Zhao Yuanzhou besides friendship and an unbreakable, extremely strong bond! After all, they've been through so much...
From the first moment they met, it has been so obvious that Zhu Yan and Wen Xiao felt something towards each other. I find it so beautiful that we've got quite a few scenes with only the two of them, talking about their inner feelings. It shows how comfortable they feel in each other's presence. Also, it's so adorable that Zhu Yan protects WX so much π₯Ί Maybe I'm a bit biased here as I like physically weak female leads, but I think Wen Xiao is such a refreshing character: She's calm, wise, and has a heart of gold. Whenever she's on screen, I feel calm like everything's gonna be alright. What many people don't notice is that she's the glue that holds the group together.
Oh, and let's not forget about such moments like when ZYZ and XW were exploring the pavillon together, holding hands, and almost kissing~ Can't wait to see more of them! Although their romance is subtle, it's definitely there if one cares to look at the details π
This episode helped me a lot to realise what a great and kind person Zhao Yuanzhou is.
Zhuo Yichen's been a demon for only a few hours, yet he experienced such humiliation and groundless accusation. Imagine what Zhu Yan must have gone through all those years ALONE... Yet he chose and always chooses to protect the people, care for them, and appreciate the average life they live.
I really really love this show. I don't know who the screenwriter was, but congrats to him. He surely did great at writing complex characters! π₯Ί
Is there any dramas like fangs of fortune if there I want to add those to my watchlist..... Kindly someone tell…
Fangs of Fortune is a very unique drama, so it's hard to find anything similar, but I'll try.
I suggest you check out Edward Guo's other works, like My Journey to You. Although he's controversial, he is definitely one of the best directors in China, especially when it comes to cinematography. He also has an upcoming drama called Hidden Shadow, which looks very promising, and hopefully it will air next year ππ»
Some famous xianxia dramas: Love Between Fairy and Devil (also had beautiful cgi and a demon ml), Till the End of the Moon (very tragic, demon ml), The Untamed (the storyline is really good and so are the characters. It's not a high quality drama but definitely worth a watch), Love Game in Eastern Fantasy (romcom, demon ml)
Wuxia dramas: A Journey to Love, My Journey to You
Historical dramas: Story of Pearl Girl (haven't seen this one, but it seems to have a more serious tone), Love Like the Galaxy, The Double, Story of Kunning Palace
Dashing Youth might be a good suggestion as well, because Neo Hou stars in it and it's based on adventure, friendship.
Aaa, the sword technique of Bingyi is so cool! Edward Guo knows how to make a beautiful drama, that's for sure.
I've liked Zhuo Yichen's character from the beginning but as the episodes go on I'm getting more and more attached to him, him slowly becoming one of my favourite characters ever.
My heart aches for him. The way he looked when LL broke the sword... He deserves a hug. A very tight one π«
Alright, I love this series, but ep. 23 was so irritating, I can't...Friendly reminder this is MY OPINION!Was…
4. You can never know for sure when the director is Edward Guo. When ZYZ lost control at Kunlun Mountain, Pei Sijing and Bai Jiu were away for a long time as well. Later we get to know why. I think later we will learn more about this one as well. And the reason why she'd go after the bow is logical. It's her weapon, without it she doesn't worth much against LL.
5. Yes, you're right, he shouldn't have just laid there, but he was seriously injured, and isn't that skilled of a fighter. Plus, he was still seeing Bai Jiu, not LL. He couldn't kill Bai Jiu.
6. If they all surround ZYC, LL would have attacked them, increasing the risk of ZYC being injured again. They couldn't really have done anything different. They can't rush him to a doctor because LL is still there, and surrounding him won't make him healed.

1. Who else could have they suspected? Bai Jiu stating that he didn't develop such a needle really made ZYC look suspicious. They didn't say it must be him, they just made a guess in hurry cause they realised that there must be something wrong with the needle. They couldn't risk ZYZ die or being taken advantage of.
2.This had happened before. For example when the Mountain Gods trapped him in that pagoda thingy. I think during these moments, he's trying to regain control over his body. Espacially since Wen Xiao appeared, he must have been struggling hard not to kill her.
3. They were like that for like what, a moment? After being away for such a long time and struggling so much, of course they wanted to embrace each other. WX knew that ZYC went to help the others, and he's strong, won't be easily killed by LL. What nobody expected was his sword to be broken. Fighting without his word is the worst things that can happen to him. Yes, he's skilled in close combat as well, but not as strong.
I hope we will learn more about Zhu Yan's origin. So far, we only received pieces from his past, and I feel like the puzzle is not yet ready.
How did she meet Wen Xiao's master? Where was he born? Why did he want to die even before being controlled by the malicious energy? How and why did he get attached emotionally to humans so much?
This series is such a good one. I really hope we'll get answers.
I think he meant that he saw people falling in love for the first time. We don't know his origin and early years but he mentioned in the first few episodes that demons develope emotions later and differently, and since the Wilderness is vast, he might have not come across anyone being in love until he was over 300 and visited the mortal world for the first time.
Thanks guys for everything β€οΈ Let's meet again in another comment section
I personally think it's a very hard choice, but I'd either choose Zhao Yuanzhou's or Zhuo Yichen's. Both are so heartbreaking π

He knows something we don't know yet, and I'm afraid it's not a good thing.
I'm hopeful though that we will learn more about his past ππΌ

This is my guess π€·πΌββοΈ
Guess it's my fault for liking angsty dramas π
